The Tales So Far...
Upcoming Tales... [completed or nearly so]
I've been toying with a Scenes In the Life of... series/one-shot/annual since starting Mail Order Super-Heroes, since Erin (Stop-Drop-and-Roll Lass) gave me a story that has to be told.
It ties in with my 2nd mini-series, the title of which I've put in the drop-down box. The first issue is nearly complete (the remainder of the story for #1 has come to me, now I just have to write it), with four more issues in wait. This mini is more Constrained Writing.
Issue #1; 2 1/2 pages in length
Issue #2; 2 pages
Issue #3; 3 pages
Issue #4; 5 pages
Issue #5; 3 1/2 pages
This is going to turn out great, I can feel it with just the incomplete first issue. However, I'm not posting it until it is totally complete. Sorry. :(
The Scenes series on the other hand... we'll have to take a wait and see approach. I definitely want it to be more than that Stop-Drop-and-Roll Lass story, but I don't know if anymore stories will pop up. Erin's story has to be told. I don't think it's too long, maybe an issue.
Town Heroes is a prequel to Scenes In the Life of Possible Man. Jim and Claire are super-heroes I created back in 1998, shortly after I first started reading RACC. There's only one character I created that I could find that's older than those, and Pete Hayes has already found his way into a story or (two).
Bob & Charlie is set during the Vietnam War. The main character's name is Bob; he's a mean gun super-human working covert ops in Vietnam. Look for appearances from wet-behind-the-ears Roger Rampage and Master Lawyer, as their origins are contained here. Fairly appropriate.
I'm thinking of re-starting my incredibly short-lived e-zine idea from a few years back. I had a few contributors (non-pay) lined up, but contributions dried up quickly. :( It never got off the ground... :(
Boring Publications Presents...
Boring Publications Presents... #1
It can happen.
Everything below here is slow-going. Aside from PM currently, I sometimes wonder why I try these things. I know I should write PPM #5-9 since I've pretty much got the stories planned out. Snow Commander is driving me crazy, and that is before the LNH Continuity. The story is there... sometimes. When it is there, it doesn't want out. It seems like a beast in a cage sometimes; it's the only way I know how to describe it. It's almost saying: 'Once you get that door opened, I'm going to come out there, rip you you open and eat your guts!' That is what happened with No-Point Lad & Dismal-Hope Kid. It tried with Possible Man & characters-- nipped at it a bit, gnawed, mashed-- they've come back bloodied and bruised; they'll make it, they have to. They're fighters.
No-Point Lad & Dismal-Hope Kid wanted a last hurrah, but that beast kicked them in the head quite a few times, giving them both nasty concussions.
Writer's Day is February 15th. That beast pretty much crapped on that story idea.
