After leaving the N.Y. DOLLS, Mr. Arthur Kane got together with friends in ' 76 and released an amazing 3 track 45 which allthough close to the DOLLS sound in spirit, it's more hard blues rock and pre-punk, than say their brand of glam, the 3 songs are;

GREAT song ! can be classified as pre-punk, yet different from the DOLLS style of glam which as anyone knows reading this Arthur played bass for, this is more like 'death rock' with DARK tones, and some hard guitars in the mix ( the beginning reminded us a bit of KISS' 'BLACK DIAMOND'..........begins very slowly 'ooohhh, ooohhh, ooohhh, WELL I'M SITTING ROUND THINKING ABOUT LOSING MY LOVE, CAUSE I KEEP TELLING I'M ONLY ONE OF THE ( ? ), MY LIFE IS BROKEN CAUSE MY DREAMS WERE SHATTERED FOR SO VERY LONG NOTHING ELSE MATTERS, MY NAME IS MR COOL, AHH MR. this glam rocker song sounds very much influenced by SLADE's single 'GOOD TIME GALS' even down to some borrowed lyrics......' I WANTED TO BE YOUR SAILOR, I WANTED TO BE YOUR *, I WANTED TO SUCK YOUR CANDY BABY AND TAKE IT JUST AS FAR AS'..........................'I WANTED TO BE YOUR TIGER'..........GOOD song,
ARTHUR would later appear in the CORPSE GRINDERS ( see gateway 3 ) and the SLUGS ( see below ) as well as playing with numerous outfits then worked part time for the MORMON church is L.a. and also played in the N.Y. DOLLS reunion of which only there were 2 others because 2 others had died, before he passed away in the winter of ' 05......... Killer kane Myspace page ~

hear another song they called 'DON'T NEED YOU' on the myspace page above, the band featured a singer named Blackie Lawless who later went to sing for a band called Wasp, that band also featured one Rik Fox who was in a mid 70s glam band called The Martian Rock Band, who dressed somewhat like ZOLAR - X you can see photos of him at these 2 links, one is with a female KISS fan....

these guys hailed from Colorado, and are probably the best DEAD BOYS imiatators we've ever heard, loud and snotty as can be, and sometimes leaning towards the death rock of the STOOGES as well, naturally not quite as good as either, but a good runner-up nonetheless, they do covers of both these bands, the rest of their output are red hot, shoulda been , coulda been an lp here, but like a lot of trash you find on the 70s invasion the VIOLATORS were never released, you can now get your copy from RAVE UP Records in italy........here is the tracklisting

not the BERRY tune, this is raw fast music just like the DEAD BOYS...'I THINK....................., WELL GO GO EYES DO U KNOW WHAT I MEAN' .........the lyrics are hard to decipher but we managed to understand this much, this song is full of sonic blasts from the guitarist.....
2 'SUICIDE DOLLS'
STOOGES harsh imitation, barrell-house drum sound, 'DOES SHE MAKE U FEEL OK ' ......again the lyrics are hardly decipherable, but this is some cool music allright....
3 'GUN CONTROL'
a signature tune of the band's, this is cool STOOGES raunch with superb bass playing, GOOD vocals too.....' another EXCELLENT tune, STRONG DEAD BOYS comparison, so strong they coulda given STIV BATORS and Co. a run for their money in a live set, at times the band sounds like it's inside a washing machine........begins with a slow guitar intro, then the band hits fast......'OH BABY IT's A LITTLE BABY REACTION,.............ATTRACTION............MOLECULAR REACTION,..............CAN' T GET NO SATISFACTION, I'M WALKING AROUND, OH BABY CAN' T , CAN' T U SEE I'M CRYING, CAN' T U SEE I'M DYING, I'M IN THE BULLET ZONE', I'M THE LIVING, LIVING DEAD !
8 'AIN' T NOTHING TO DO'
DEAD BOYS cover, allright not better than the original......( Tom Pop quotes ROTTEN when he begins by saying 'want your ears blown out some more' ?.........'I'M SO SICK OF RAOMANCE, I'M GETTIN' REAL SICK OF U' .......

STOOGES cover is pretty good, a lot better than the previous cover, ( ' he was talkin' to me' ) YEEOOW !......STRONG bass.......'I GOT A RIGHT, I GOT A RIGHT' !

our copy came with another version of this song which sounds like the first allthough TOM POP says at the beginning ( ' white man step aside, oohhh never mind' ).....'
