Formed: 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida

Coral Springs, Florida is the home of palm trees,

sea breezes, senior citizen trailer parks and the loud

thrashing punk/metal of New Found Glory.

By the Summer of '97, high schoolers, Jordan,

Chad, Ian and Cyrus tried to beat the odds of being

Coral Springs' first metal thrash band and did so

quite the hard way.

It took the band a year of touring the Florida

coast to land their first EP set entitled It's All

About The Girls. Selling out wherever sold, the band

was quick to follow it up with the complete album,

Nothing Gold Can Stay by 1999.

Enough interest from MCA landed then their debut

record contract and gave Nothing Gold Can Stay a more

productive release in the mainstream.

It was in 2000 that New Found Glory released their

first set of new material for MCA entitled New Found

Glory and helped the band receive top mentions as one

of the year's best new bands from many publications.
