For those unfamiliar with the VU mythos, I'm going to give a quick synopsis now: The VU is about real life - what people see everyday, what people go through everyday, and what people feel everyday. Then I take these everyday people in the everyday world and change their everyday lives simply by adding a spice of the supernatural and folklore.
In the first tale of the VU universe you meet Shades, a young Korean orphan turned gangmember who with his girlfriend Chase is forced into a violent test of skill, morals, and loyalty all while their everyday world becomes new and extraordinary. But this isn't the true beginning...
