Matt sat there and thought about how senseless it had been for him to lie to Dru.

~She’s never going to forgive me.~ he thought to himself

"Matt are you up here?" he heard her call. He peaked out the door. She

was standing there looking up at him. "I think we need to talk." she said softly. She climbed the latter and sat on the wood floor looking at him.

"Dru... I ...I’m sorry. I should have been honest with you." he said

"Shhh. It’s okay. Jeff explained it to me. How you were watching me, how you found me and chose to give me this life than watch me die. I owe you so much. You saved me." she said as she pressed a finger to his lips.

Matt stared at her for a moment then he turned away. He felt her eyes watching him slowly as he stared at the wall. He spoke almost inaudibly.

"I don’t deserve you. I’ll just get you killed." he said as the muscles in his jaw tightened.

"What? Of course you do. You made me Matt. I belong to you." she whispered inching closer to him. There was a long silence and hen Matt spoke.

"I can’t let you turn out like me. I can’t let you end up like..." he trailed off

"What do you mean? end up like what?" she said He turned to face her.

"I can’t let you end up with regrets. Things from your past coming back to haunt you. Almost like ghosts." he said

~That’s it! Soon Matt! the Demons will swallow you both and I will reign supreme. You will never know what hit you. Her past will be your downfall.~ he thought.
