Gabrielle stood there arms crossed watching the couch and the stranger on it for a while before finally looking at Edge. He was grinning from ear to ear. Gabrielle then looked at the other three and spoke.

"Did you know that our new friend was once one of our worst enemies?" she said looking back to the couch.

"What are you talking about?" Jeff said in his cute little drawl

"Our friend was once a slayer. Check it out for yourself. She's got the tattoo on her wrist."

Jeff, Matt, Edge and Christian watched as Edge turned Drucela's wrist over to reveal the mark of the slayer. Matt walked over to the window and began cursing himself under his breath. Christian anxiously eyed Gabrielle and Edge for answers. Jeff cradled Drucela's wrist in his hand almost wishing he could make that mark go away. He knew Matt had broken a major rule. That much Gangrel had taught them. Under no circumstances do you ever take a slayer. They are all bad news. They end up feeding you to their friends to save their own souls. Don't trust them and absolutely do not fall in love with one. Jeff knew that Matt had fallen for her. He desperately wanted to take away any pain that his brother felt but didn't know how.

Matt turned back to face the others unsure of what would happen now. He hoped that they didn't make him and Drucela both leave. That's what Gangrel told him would happen. He was a member of this family and he didn't want to be kicked out because of some stupid mistake.

"So what do we do now?" he asked with just and edge of hope in his voice.

"We really have no choice but to keep her. She's one of us now." Gabrielle said

A look of relief came across Matt's face. He could stay in the family and so could she. Maybe they could even form a bond like Edge and Gabrielle had. Only time would tell. Suddenly, Drucela looked up at them and spoke softly

"I'm a vampire aren't I?"

"Yes you are. Trust me living with these four is going to be no easy task. I'm Gabrielle. C'mon and I'll show you to your room" she said cheerily

Slowly she stood and followed Gabrielle up the stairs. She was a vampire! Maybe this life would be what she had been searching for the last year and a half for. She wasn't at all happy being a slayer. Maybe now she would find happiness. She tucked some stray strands of red hair behind her ear and gasped as Gabrielle opened the door to her room.

"Don't freak out about all the clothes in your closet. Almost anything you can imagine is in there. You are just down the hall from me, right across the hall from Jeff and right next door to Christian. If you need anything just ask. By the way, what's your name?" Gabrielle asked breathlessly

"Drucela.... Dru for short"

"Well welcome to the family" Gabrielle yelled as she walked down the hallway.

Dru closed the door and stared around the vast room in amazement. The walls were solid black and purple curtains hung over the window. There was even a black light to give the room an extra eerie flare. Dru walked over to the bed and sat down. This had been some day. Just as she was settling back on the bed there was a knock on her door.
