She shut the light out, and paused before climbing up the stairs. Everything was dark. Not even the moon shone though the greenhouse window. She stood in her doorway, and entered the room with a sigh. She wasn’t even the least bit tired. She closed the door. The room was completely dark. She loved that darkness, and stood with her head against the cool wall, letting the darkness drift over her, until she sensed someone was close. But that’s insane she told herself, there’s no one here… But there had to be, or else who was breathing, just inches from her face. Too scared to move, she could only stand, cursing her love of darkness, wishing she could see this person’s face. She felt a hand through her hair, and tried to move away, but was held in place by the other hand. She heard breathing close to her ear, at the same time she felt lips on her neck. She cried out a little, but was quickly silenced with the lips on hers. Run away she thought somewhere in her head. But she couldn’t. She was too scared to move.

"You don’t need to be scared of me…." A male voice whispered softly in her ear. "I can only help you, by showing you what’s real." she broke free, by some unknown strength, and flipped on the light. She let her eyes adjust, and looked around the room, not seeing anyone, until she looked behind her. A man was standing there. He wasn’t too tall, and had a mess of curly, brown hair, bleached blond at the front. He was wearing a leather jacket over a pearl jam T-shirt, and denim cut-offs. Must be from Seattle was her first thought. He stood, still, not doing anything, but looking straight into her eyes. She shuddered. It gave her chills.

"I’m very sorry, the way I had to do this. But there is no other way, my sweet." He moved forward, and touched her cheek lightly. For some reason, she didn’t pull away. She felt drawn to this man, like no other.

"I knew you would feel as I do…" he trailed off, pushing the wisps of brown hair out of her eyes.

"What…what is your name?" she said, not taking her eyes off his. He laughed softly, before answering.

"You can call me Raven, my sweet." She looked at him sceptically. He moved slowly, closer to her, his hands slipping around her waist. She gasped as he pulled her closer to him.

"Shhh…don’t say anything…its alright…I know you…everything about you. And you will know me. Its only a matter of time." He kissed her gently, and she ran her hands through his mess of hair. His kiss deepened as he leaned into her, then pulled away. She looked at him, confused.

"I have to leave you now, my sweet. I just needed for you to know that I am here. And I will visit you soon. Very soon." His hand brushed her cheek as he turned to walk out the door. Dazed she sat on her bed.

"What the fuck just happened there?" she said out loud, putting her head in her hands. Now, all she could do was wait.
