She looked up, and seeing the coldest expression she had ever seen on a human being on Lenny;s face, as he looked down on her, she bolted from the room. Brad's cries for her to come back feel on deaf ears as she ran through the hallway, trying to find somewhere to curl up and die. Finding the room that she remembered checking into, Aimee was surprised to see the door slightly ajar. Without thinking to be cautious, she entered and slammed the door behind her, not the least bit surprised to see Raven sitting with his back turned, staring out the window.

"I was wondering when you'd come." He stood and turned, looking intently at her. "What the hell happened to you? You look like you've slept in an alley."

"Don’t start with me." She said, walking into the bathroom. "there already enough people giving me shit, and I don’t want you on that list." He stood in the doorway, as she assessed the damage in the mirror.

"Things with Lenny didn't go well then." Aimee looked at him, eyebrows raised at the sheer stupidity of the comment.

"No. and now he hates me and Brad, and you. And its all my fault." Raven looked down in thought before speaking.

"About Lenny hating me. He's hated me for a while now. Its my own fault too. That little son of a bitch is too sensitive for his own good. I don't wanna get into the details right now though. We've gotta be at the airport in two hours if we're gonna make it for the taping."

"Fuck the taping. I'm too damn tired-"

"Hungover…."

"TIRED to do anything. How do you wrestle or cut a promo or anything when you're….uh..tired?" Aimee asked slyly, moving past him and looking for her bag.

"I'm never tired. I mean, how can you be tired when you sleep all the time?" Raven said, cryptically, sitting back in the chair facing the window. Aimee shook her head, forgetting how much that would increase the pounding.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"I dunno, someone else made me say it. I don't think it makes sense either." She stared at him before starting to pack what little had been unpacked.

"Okay then. On that note, where the hell is this taping anyways? I have yet to ask, and it would be slightly nice to know where we're going."

"Back to Atlanta, I think. Somewhere where its nice and warm, I know that." She sat in the chair next to him, and looked out the window.

"I hate warm weather." At this, Raven looked at her like she had two heads springing out of her neck. "What? I was born and raised and lived most of my life in Canada. I had a pet polar bear. He liked fish. But that damn igloo had to collapse on him….Damn you, Ice blocks! Damn you to hell!" he just stared, eyebrows raised.

"Okay, okay, I'm not funny. I get it." Aimee rolled her eyes, which unfortunately made the room almost spin. He leaned in closer to her.

"You don't need to be painfully funny. You're funny in your own way. The dark sardonic way that I like my comedy. And I'd almost given up hope of finding someone with a dry, sarcastic humor like mine."

"Is that why you like me then? My odd sense of humor?" Aimee asked wryly.

"No. you've got so much more going for you than that. You're young, talented, one of the best I've seen in the business in a long while. You're beautiful, you're smart, you--" she put a hand over his mouth.

"Shh. You're rambling…" she said, quietly. He stared at her for a second before removing her hand, moving his head closer to her, lingering just for a moment then gently kissing her lips. His hands entwined in her brown hair and hers went around his neck. She could feel the stud in his tongue scrape inside her mouth and she pressed her lips hard against his, tasting blood and loving it. Raven suddenly pulled away, and Aimee looked questioningly at him.

"This can't be done now. There are things you have to know before anything happens, and I'm not ready to tell you yet. Don't say anything. I'll see you soon. I have to go now, Aimee. But remember that kiss. Remember this morning. Remember it all. Its not over yet." He gently ran his finger along her jaw, and then left, looking back only once as he walked out the door.
