When it was near dusk, Dakota stood to go watch the sun. She walked outside softly again as not disturb anyone in the house who might be napping. She stood with her arms by her side. She had her hood pulled up around her head. Jeff came out silently behind her. "Beautiful, isn’t it?" Dakota turned and saw Jeff. "Jeff, you scared me." It wouldn’t be the first time he had done that to her. He had a habit of sneaking up on her, but he did that to everybody. Edge watched from the window as the two made plans for that night. Jeff and Matt were the only ones that Lily felt at ease around. "Make sure you wear something blue. You look so good in blue. That and I’m taking you out to show you around town tonight." "Maybe I’ll let you see the real me." "You’re a tease, do you know that Cody?" Jeff asked her, trying to kiss her. She turned around in his grasp and whispered into his ear, "But I have fun with it." He let her go. She walked silently into the house and passed by Edge. He followed her up to her room and knocked on the door. "Dakota, can I speak to you?" Dakota opened the door and let him in. "Why are you afraid of me? Do I scare you?" Edge asked her. "No, I’m just afraid that you won’t like me because I am so young. I am afraid that I am treading on ground that I’m not allowed to walk on, that’s all," she remarked. Edge looked at her. "Do you really feel like that? I don’t mean to frighten you off, I was just afraid that you wouldn’t like me." "And why would you think that?" "I don’t know, you just never make eye contact with me." "I never make eye contact with anyone. It’s nothing personal, I just don’t." Edge nodded and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot, here," Edge called, tossing her a pendant tied to a black leather cord. "It makes you look sweeter than you already do." Dakota blushed and smiled at Edge. "Good luck on your first hunt tonight," he whispered into her ear. Dakota had not fed since last night. She had drunk Edge’s blood, but that was only because of the trouble she had gotten into that night. She searched through her closet. She found a pair of black crushed velvet pants. She dug deeper in the closet and found the perfect top to go with it. She fixed her hair and straightened her shirt. She was wearing tight black velvet pants and a dark blue midriff tee shirt. She pulled on her black boots and headed down the stairs. Matt called to her from the couch, "Dakota, Jeff is out getting the bike." He turned to look at her. "You look..." "Good, I know." "Oh, as long as you know," he said slipping his arms around her waist. He kissed her forehead. "You’re eyes are beautiful, why don’t you show them more?" Matt asked her. "You’re hair is pretty as well, they just accent the body," Matt said with a smile. "Happy hunting," Christian said from the den. She nodded her head at Christian. She kissed Matt lightly on the cheek. "Thanks for the confidence sweetie," she whispered to Matt. She turned and walked out the door. "Milady, if you are ready to go," Jeff said, bringing the bike to the front of the house. "Does Gangrel know his infant is going out to feed dressed like this?" Jeff asked her. "Does he have to know?" Dakota whispered in his ear. Jeff raised her hand to his lips. "Ready yet?" he asked. He revved the motor of the bike. She hopped on and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I hope you know that I’ve never ridden on one of these before." Jeff kicked the stand down and sped off into the night.

The two walked into the club and sat down at the bar. Jeff offered to dance and Dakota took his offer. They had been dancing for a good part of the night when Dakota looked into Jeff’s eyes. He knew what she was thinking. He took her hand and led her over to the bar. The pair sat down. Dakota drank some water while Jeff scanned the room. There were hunters and slayers everywhere, but Dakota knew that she was safe with Jeff. She nudged him nervously and pointed her head at a man sitting over on the side with his friend. "Are you going to share, or do I have to hunt my own?" she whispered to him. He smiled at her teasingly. "Share of course, I would have my pupil learn know other way," he whispered back, staring into her eyes. Their meal stood and walked towards the door. Jeff stood to follow him followed by a timid Dakota. Jeff stalked his prey until they were in front of a dark alley. There, Jeff started to pick up the pace. He grabbed the man from behind and dragged him into the alley. Dakota followed close behind. He ripped the man’s neck open on the side and offered it to Dakota. She put her lips to the wound nervously, never taking her eyes off of Jeff. She finished quickly and Jeff finished the man off. The body slumped into the alley. Dakota grabbed her head dizzily. Jeff had forgotten what it would be like for her on her first taste of blood. He took her in his arms and held her until it was gone. She raised her hand to his mouth and brushed a drop of blood off the corner of his mouth. "Ready to go touring the rest of the night?" he asked. Dakota shook her head and Jeff took her hand. Together they hurried down the alley and to his bike. The two sped off into darkness. It was ten minutes before daybreak when the duo got home. Dakota had fallen asleep on the front step when Jeff came to unlock the door to the house. He picked her up and carried her into her room. He pulled a blanket up around her and kissed her forehead. He left to go lie down himself. The sun had risen and was on its way back down when Dakota woke up. She walked downstairs and looked around at the scene. Jeff was lying on the couch watching TV, Christian was reading in the study, Edge and Matt were out fixing her bike, and Gangrel was no where in sight. She walked into the living room and sat down on the floor in front of Jeff. "What’cha watching?" she asked him. "Actually, I was only waiting for you to get up. That’s the longest I’ve seen you sleep so far." "I was tired. We got in at what, 6:15?" HAVE FUN LAST NIGHT ON YOUR FIRST HUNT CODY? ACTUALLY, I DID. GOOD. Christian had opened a mind link with her and closed it. "Tonight is going to be quick, because we’re all going to watch a movie tonight." Dakota looked at him questioningly. "You’ll find out cutie," he said kissing her forehead. "Now you’re teasing me. Not fair." "But I’m having fun," he said. She stuck her tongue out at him. He returned the gesture. "Having fun children?" remarked a voice from behind them. It was Gangrel and Dakota immediately pulled her tongue into her mouth. Jeff did the same. "Did we have fun last night my child?" he asked her, patting her head. "You had a good hunting partner last night, but I see that you did not feed enough. Are you feeling okay?" "Yes sire, I am fine. I just felt nauseous. The blood was sweet and cold. It hurt my throat going down." "It will on the first time, and the second and the third. You’ll get used to it my child," Gangrel informed her. Matt put his hands over her eyes. "Guess who?" Matt whispered. "How could I not know Matt?" Dakota asked. He kissed the top of her head and sat behind her. She reclined into his lap and he put his arms around her. Gangrel shook his head and walked out of the room and into the study. The other brothers soon walked into the room and they decided who would ride with whom. Lily decided to go out dressed as she was. She was dressed in a black leather skirt and a black tank top. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, but this she let down. She pulled Edge’s black leather coat over her and the group walked out the door. Dakota slid her arms around Matt as she sat on the back of his bike. She slipped her dark blue helmet over her head as the four bikes sped off into the setting sun. Matt would share with Dakota while Edge and his brother would get their own. Matt took Dakota’s hand in his and walked into a bar. Edge and Christian were in the one next door. Jeff was getting the movies and then he would meet them back at home. Dakota followed Matt into an alley following a tall brunette. He tore her neck and offered to Dakota. She declined and allowed Matt to drink first. She finished off the woman. Dakota soon felt the same as she had the night before. Matt held her this time. The feeling left quicker than it had the night before and soon the two were back on the way home.
