Gabrielle stared down at Edges motionless body in bed next to her. How could he have done this and not tell her? How could he have taken her away from Raven?

And how could he have killed Gangrel? The only man she ever loved and known like a father.

Tears began to well up on her eyes as she got out of bed. How could this all have happened? She thought to herself. Her whole life was all one big lie, everyone she’d known in this new life had deceived her in one way or another and it was time to take her life back.

Gabrielle hurried to her dresser, pulling on the first pair of dark jeans she could find. She whipped away her tears angrily as she tugged on her boots. She would show him. She would show them all. She would leave them both, she thought to herself. That would serve them right for taking her and trying to keep her there.

Edge rolled over onto his stomach, grabbing Gabrielle’s pillow and pulling it closer to him. She thought about all the things she’d like to do to both him and Christian. All the ways she’d like to torture them both for making her live this life of lies for so many years.

She got up, heading back to where Edge was laying when she heard a familiar song coming from outside her bedroom window. She could just barely hear it but it stopped her dead in her tracks.

She headed for her window, wrenching it open, the music getting louder and louder, swallowing up all the anger she was feeling. It was the same tune that brought her back to Raven. The same song she had heard in her dreams. Gabrielle studied the darkness outside her window and for a brief second, she could’ve sworn she saw someone moving across the street. She stayed there, watching him, then smiled when she saw him lighting up his cigarette, Ravens face illuminated by the flicker

of his lighter.

He was there, waiting for her, waiting for her to make her choice. And it wasn’t a hard one to make. She silently grabbed her jacket, and propped herself onto her windowsill. She took one last look at Edge before she leapt onto the roof, slowly making her way down to the ground where Raven awaited her.

He chuckled coarsely as he wrapped his arm around her leading her down the street to her new home.

This was easier than he had planned, Raven thought to himself. It was much too easy to infiltrate her dreams and make her think whatever he wanted. Make her think that they were once in love and shared a life together.

He had told her earlier, that he and the brothers had a hatred for each other. He just didn’t tell her how far that hatred went and how far he was willing to go to terminate them. And what easier way to end them both than take away something they loved, that they could never live without.

He took away Gabrielle.

Raven smiled darkly as he laid a small kiss on her forehead. Every rose has its thorn, he thought to himself… and now I have Gabrielle.
