She walked into her room, feeling a sudden chill around her. She grabbed at her leather jacket, pulling it tighter around her body. Some days she hated living there. The constant cold, rodents that dwelled in the sewer lines with them, and unusual smells that sometimes turned up.
She headed for her table, feeling around it in the dark frantically looking for her lighter. When she came up empty she began feeling around the floor, maybe it had dropped. When she couldn’t find on the ground she irritatedly gave up. Nothing was going to ruin her night.
She took off her jacket and dropped it at her feet. She was about to climb into bed when a flicker of light came on in front of her. She took a step back as he lit the candle next to her bed. "Were you looking for this?"
Gabrielle smiled, as the light illuminated off his face. "Raven?" she asked in shock, watching him outstretched on her bed. "What are you doing here?"
He folded his arms behind his head as he lay back on her bed. "Waiting for you."
She smiled, still hesitant. Trying to figure him out, or at least the situation.
"I followed you tonight," he told her flatly. "To the alley…"
She didn’t know how to react, what to say. She didn’t know if he’d be angry or confused, so she just stood there, nodded and smiled.
He turned to her, a twinkle in his eye. She stared at him in disbelief. She’d never seen his eyes that happy before, he’ll she couldn’t even remember him really ever smiling. Ravens words continued as she stopped her thoughts to listen.
"I’m proud of you," he started. "The way you killed that guy… brought back memories."
Gabrielle sat on the bed next to Raven, pulling the ring she had stolen out of her pocket. She held it in front of him, watching for a smile. "I got this for you."
He took it softly from her hands and placed it on his ring finger. "I know." Raven outstretched his hand; staring at the ring she’d given him. "You literally picked him clean afterwards," he chuckled roughly. "It was great."
Gabrielle smirked at his reaction. "I’m glad you like it."
Raven placed his palm on her thigh, smiling wickedly. Watching her slaughter that guy had brought out something in him he hadn’t known even existed. The rage that came out of her exposed a side that he rarely saw. A side he loved to see. He sat up to face her, stroking his finger across her cheek. "I saw all the best sides of you tonight. The rage that came out of you was remarkable."
Gabrielle pulled back a loose curl that had fallen in his face, feeling the stubble on his cheek graze her palm. She had never felt more attracted to Raven than at this moment. All the feelings she was having were overpowering her, and she could feel herself start to give in.
Gabrielle cupped his face, pulling him in for a kiss, biting at his bottom lip. She could feel her fangs puncture his lips as he jerked back slightly, and then heard a soft moan, knowing he was eager to continue.
Raven kissed at the nape of her neck, grabbing a handful of hair, yanking her back. His chuckle echoed the room as Raven pulled her down on the bed. He climbed on top of her, feeling her legs wrapping around his waist. Her hands exploring his body.
"You still taste like him," he whispered. Gabrielle arched her back as his fangs bit away at her buttons, exposing her naked chest. Raven grabbed both her arms, pinning them firmly above her head. Raven smiled immorally. He could feel her body wriggle beneath his, and took one last look at Gabrielle before continuing.

Kael and Spider hadn’t made it home. They’d only made it part way up the block before Spider threw Kael against one of the building walls, violently tearing at his clothes. Who was he to argue with her when she was in these moods? He rather enjoyed it. He loved being dominated, and found the best sex they have, was when she was like this.
He allowed her to go on for a few minutes before he took control. Kael grabbed hold of her roughly, shoving her back onto the wall. He flicked his tongue teasingly across her mouth, pulling back when she tried to kiss him.
He held her hands firmly at her sides "uh-uh" he mumbled jokingly. "Not yet."
She ran one knee along his inner thigh. She smiled deviously as she watched the kid like smile on his face fade, only to be replaced by one of lust. "Don’t start things you can’t finish."
Spider ran her knee a little further up, nipping at his chin as he arched his head back. "Who says I can’t finish."
Kael kissed her hungrily, and moved down her neck. He began pulling at her shirt when Spider quickly pushed him away. Before he could respond she motioned him in the direction in which she was looking. Down the darkened streets, they noticed 2 figures approaching. As they got closer, Kael scoffed, joining his place next to Spider.
"Fancy seeing you two out and about," Kael teased, his strong English accent. "Thought you blokes’ve finally had enough of this place and moved on."
They watched as Edge and his brother Christian moved closer. Edge pushed his long blond hair back, rolling his eyes towards Kael. "And why would we do that?"
"Oh I don’t know, Just taking a wild guess is all. Haven’t seen you buggers in weeks. In fact, I was beginning to enjoy myself."
Spider rolled her eyes in Kaels direction. She was loosing the mood, and fast. "First Gabrielle, now them? It’s enough to make a girl wanna puke."
"Wait a minute…" Edge stammered, cutting her off. "You’ve seen Gabrielle? Where? When?"
She tugged at Kaels hand, disgusted by all of Edge’s questions. "Come on Kael. They’re ruining the moment. Lets go find some innocent people to kill, and get drunk off their blood. The college down the block should have some fresh meat."
Kael wrapped on arm around Spiders shoulders, and flashed Edge and Christian a proud look. "Isn’t she great? Bloody well proud, I am."
Edge grabbed tightly onto Spiders arm before they could leave. It had been 3 months since he’d seen Gabrielle. Everything was fine, everything was perfect. Until one night, he woke up and she was gone. He didn’t know why she left in the first place. It had racked his brain since that first night. And ever since then he hadn’t heard anything from her, not a word. He still loved her, he knew that. He needed to find her, needed to know why she left so suddenly. Why she couldn’t ever call him.
Kael grabbed at Edges arm, tossing it aside angrily. He stepped in front of Spider, the muscles in his jaw clenching. "Keep your hands off the bleedin’ merchandise."
Edge looked past Kael, trying to catch Spiders eye. "When was she around?" Edge pleaded. "You have to tell me."
Kael looked back at his girlfriend, to catch her reaction before answering. "Seeing as how your acting like a broken record, I’ll give you the short version. We had come out of the bar, saw her in the alley having a nummy treat, and left."
"What do you mean you left?" Christian cut in.
"I mean we left," Kael repeated, this time getting a bit louder. "As you can see I had my hands pretty well full, and I’m not going to drop my plans to waste my time catching up jollies with Suzy bleedin’ Sunshine!"

Raven took his lit cigarette in his hands, exhaling a long drag of smoke. He could feel the wet grass under his feet as he paced outside, thinking of the nights occurrence. He scratched at his bare chest, taking another drag. He turned to the brick opening of his sewer drain, grinding out his cigarette butt. He could feel something different in the air, and smiled as he turned. "I was expecting you two." Raven leaned on the Iron Gate, clutching the bars in his hands. "Just didn’t figure you’d take this long."
"We saw Kael tonight," Christian told him. "He told us he saw Gabrielle."
"Really?" Raven smiled "And how is she?"
"I don’t know," Edge continued worriedly. "He told us he ran into her earlier tonight, so I was just wondering if you’d seen her recently?"
Raven laughed, swinging away the gate. "Oh I get it, since we’re such good friends, I’d tell you where she is if I’d seen her? Is that it?"
Edge didn’t know how to respond. Both him and his brother were never really friends with Raven. Truth of the matter is, they hated Raven. They hated what he was, what he did, how he treated people, but most of all, they hated the way he didn’t care about any of it.
"If you see her…" Edge pleaded.
"If I see her," Raven cut in, "which I doubt I will, I’ll commend her for leaving you two when she did."
"Come on Edge," Christian started, holding onto his brother’s arm. "He doesn’t know anything. Besides its almost light so I doubt she’d still be out."
Raven watched as the brothers slowly started to back away and leave back in the direction they came, then headed back inside.
Christian chased frantically to keep up with his brothers fast pace. He placed his hand on Edges shoulder to comfort him but Edge quickly shunned it away.
"Don’t worry Edge, We’ll find her."
Edge finally stopped, never taking his eyes off of his brother. "But what if she doesn’t want to be found? She left for a reason, and to tell you the truth, I’m not ready to find out what that was yet."
Christian reached for his brother but Edge slowly started backing away. "I need some time alone," Edge told him. "I need to think about things, about what’s happening."
"Are you sure that’s a good idea?" Christian asked worriedly.
"Yea, I’ll be fine," Edge promised, heading up the street. "I just need to clear my head. I’ll meet you at the house later."
And with that, Edge was gone.

Raven was heading for his room when he was violently thrown into the brick wall. He turned Raven around, holding his hand firmly around Ravens neck. "What the hell was that?" He argued.
Raven pushed him away, rubbing his airway to get a clear breath. "What’s your problem? I covered for you didn’t I?"
"Where is she now?" he demanded.
Raven handed him a cigarette, and lit it, the flame illuminating Christians face. "She’s asleep."
Christian shook his head, scratching at the back of his neck. "Why are you letting her go out for? I’m not paying you to let down your guard."
"I’m not dropping my guard," Raven replied angrily. "I know everywhere she went and everything she did. She needed to go out for a while. She was going insane cooped up in here."
"Just don’t let it happen again." Christian took a thick brown envelope from his pocket and tossed it to Raven, before heading to the gate. "Don’t make me regret hiring you. If Edge would’ve found her tonight, everything would’ve been over."
"And what would that be?" Raven asked. "Why the interest in her?"
"I don’t pay you to ask questions" Christian cut in angrily. "I pay you to take orders."
Raven watched as Christian left for the second time that night. He didn’t have to hear it from Christian’s mouth. He knew what the answer was. He had always known that Christian was in love with Gabrielle, perhaps even before Christian himself knew. The two of them had a thing once. It didn’t last very long and she eventually went back to Edge. Ever since then he pitied Christian for not seeing what was right in front of him.

Kael and Spider watched from a neighboring rooftop as Christian made his way out of Ravens home, being careful not to be seen by anyone. Kael smiled brutally. "Seems like old Christian’s been got his hand caught in the cookie jar."
"Who could have thought that Christian could be so deceitful?" Spider asked him softly. "It’s kind of sexy."
Kael glared at her coldly. "I beg your pardon? I’m standing right here you know? What am I? A bloody ham and cheese sandwich? I’m as deceitful as the next."
Spider came up behind Kael, kissing the back of his neck. "You got nothing to worry about, love. You’re the most deceitful, devious, malicious man I know."
Kael smiled. He grabbed her arms and pulled her around to face him. He grew weary when he saw the smirk on her face. "And what is that’s running through your pretty little head?"
She entwined her fingers in his, wrapping him tighter around her. "Well the way I see it is, If Christians paying Raven for keeping her captive… how much do you think he’d pay to someone who knew…"
"And was willing to rat him out to his big brother?" Kael continued enjoyfully. Kael and Spider danced on the rooftop for a few moments, content with their new plan. Not only was it going to be fun torturing them, but they’d get paid for it.
Kael pulled Spider in for a long kiss. "I know now why I fell in love with you in the first place. Now then," he smirked. "To finish up what we started."
