Kael and Spider locked hands as the exited the Black Out late that night. Their blackmail had worked perfectly. They had gotten their payment from Christian and were already working on phase 2 to get more. They were happier than they had been in weeks. This money would do them good. They would get a new place, a nice place. Somewhere where they could bring visitors and have dinner parties. Or where visitors WOULD be the dinner party.

Kael ran up ahead, opening the large metal door, smiling wickedly as she passed him. Kael watched her as she stepped into the night, being swept away. Raven had lurked out of the shadows, grabbing her aggressively. "Where is she?"

Kael ran up to protect her, to pull Raven off of her but he was too angry and too powerful. "What do you think you’re doing?"

Raven ignored Kael, squeezing her arms tighter. "Where’s Gabrielle?"

Kale came up behind Raven, grabbed onto his neck, pulling him off her fiercely. "Once more mate, and you’ll be dead."

Raven edged closer to her, Kael by his side. "Everything was perfect till you decided to stick your nose into my business."

"Oh yea, perfect." She argued angrily, approaching Kael. "Lies, blackmail, deceit, sounds about perfect to me. You get what you deserve."

She took a hold of Kaels hand to go, but Raven grabbed her, turning her to face him. "We’re not done!"

Kael grasped his wrist, wrenching him off. "I think we are."

Spider stared back at Raven, the anger in his eyes and knew this was nowhere from being settled. If it wasn’t taken care of now, it would be shortly. Sooner or later he’d come back and finish what he had began, at least this way, she knew Kael was there to watch over her. She looked over at Kael, gripping his hands quickly before letting them go. "Kael go inside…"

He looked at her, anger forming on his face. "Like hell I will! You think I’m going to leave you alone with… him?"

Kael…" she cut in. "I’ll be ok. I can handle this."

She could see the muscles in his jaw tighten, and knew he was getting madder and madder by the minute. He looked at her, waiting for her to change her mind but it was obvious she wasn’t. He glared at Raven as he made his way past Spider. "I’m just gonna be on the other end of that door. You need anything…" he trailed off making his way to the entrance.

Raven waited till he was gone then neared Spider again, grabbing her arm. "Where is she?"

She shrugged him off her angrily. "I don’t know. Last time I saw her she was with Christian."

"Christian?"

"Yea, she left with him… God, what’s your problem anyway? This was your plot from the beginning."

Raven eyed her and knew she wasn’t lying. He knew she would leave and knew she would be with Christian eventually but never thought it would be this soon. He hated people in his life, especially women. They just complicate everything, but having Gabrielle around made things easier. He loved coming home and finding someone there. And the sex was awesome so there was not much to complain about. He laughed, turning to face Spider again. His smiled faded when he saw Spiders snickering his way.

"Its great isn’t it?" she asked him. "I mean, now you can go back to your pathetic life of cheap booze and even cheaper women." He shot her a defiant glance but she continued. "The only reason she was with you was because she was forced to. She would’ve never stayed if she knew everything, why would she? Why would anyone? Look at you…"

He lunged at her, grabbing her throat harshly. He wanted to make her shut up; make her stop saying those things. He knew it was true, that’s what made him angrier in the end. He knew that Gabrielle, and no one for that matter would ever truly love him. He traced Spiders lips with his thumb, her eyes staring back at him in disgust. "Look at you…" He stroked her lips, trying to make her quiet down, and see that he too could be loved. He took hold of her, forcibly pulling her towards him. He locked his lips on her own hungrily, his tongue exploring inside her mouth.

She grabbed at his chest, pushing him off with what little strength she found. Spider wiped at her mouth with her sleeve, trying to get all of his taste out of her mouth. She looked up and met his eyes, seeing satisfaction in them. "Now I know why she’s choosing Christian over you…"

Ravens composure turned back to fury almost instantaneously. He ran to her, striking her down with one single blow. His breath quickened as he stood over her, his face filled with rage.

She clutched at her jaw as she tried to regain her composure. Spider tried to stand, but stopped, falling back down as the images around her began to blend together. She closed her eyes, grasping her tender chin as she screamed Kaels name.

Within seconds he was by her side, grabbing her protectively as he tried to help her up. He tucked his face into her hair as she lay her body weight on him, trying to steady herself. "What the hell did he do to you?"

She shrugged him off, attempting to stand on her own. He stood close by, his arms reaching for her, ready to catch her in case she fell. "We should go home." He whispered to her, grabbing her close once again. "I’ll take care of this, you can guarantee it." Kael slipped one arm around her waist, holding her tight while clutching her hand in his.

She stopped, her vision starting to clear up. Spider turned to face Kael, embracing him closely. She ran her hand through his hair as her eyes met his. "We can’t go home, not just yet…"

He looked at her worriedly, his eyes trying to reason with her. "Then where should we go?"

"To Christians… I think its time we paid Gabrielle a little visit."
