Jeff gazed longingly at the forest. It had been a year since Lily and Matt had mysteriously disappeared. They were dead, he knew that. Christian had told him. Still, he liked to watch out his window, praying that both Lily and Matt would appear.

Down in the basement, Gabby threw a glass goblet across the room. It shattered against the wall, glass shards flying everywhere. Edge ducked as yet another flew across the room, exploding against the cobblestones a foot above his head. Gabby paced the floor, ranting and raving about her ‘unfair situation’. Edge folded his arms across his chest. "What’s wrong," he asked.

"What’s wrong? You have the nerve to ask me what’s wrong?" she cried. "The only reason I killed that little whelp was to be with Jeff, and he doesn’t want to let her go! He doesn’t want me! I did this all for nothing! My plan failed!" she shouted.

"First off, calm down," he said soothingly, placing his hands upon her shoulder and massaging them. "Secondly, don’t worry. He’s just...still mourning. Try again. I’m sure that maybe he’ll be a little more...receptive." Gabby sighed, falling back against Edge fluidly.

"Oh it’s just not fair, Edge. Nobody loves me." Edge held her close.

"That’s a lie. You know I love you. You know Christian loves you. And Jeff does too. Go talk to him." Edge nudged her forward. Gabby headed up the stairs. "I’m glad I never got on her bad side," he muttered, picking up the shards of crystal. "You know, if I could go back in time, I’dve never done it."

"Come in," Jeff said, turning down Pearl Jam. "Hey Gabby," he said, finishing cleaning his room. "What’s up?"

"Nothing. Actually, I have a question. Well, two."

"Shoot."

"Well, do you love me?"

"Nonsnese. Of course I do."

"I was wrong then. I thought you hated me."

"Of course not!" Jeff exclaimed.

"Well, second question then. Would you like to go out hunting or something? Maybe go into town and get pizza and a movie?"

"Sure," Jeff agreed, slipping on a pair of old, beat up Dr. Martin’s black combat boots. "Let’s go." Gabby slung on a beat-up black trenchcoat, as did Jeff. He jumped out his balcony window, landing like cat on the grass. Gabby followed. Upon his bike, Jeff rode into the city.

"What the hell?" Edge murmured when another goblet flew at his head. He looked up, and whatever color there was in his face drained. "This can’t be happening...you’re dead. Once you’re dead, you can’t come back..." Dressed from head to toe in black leather, hair wet and hanging about their faces, Lily and Matt stood at the top of the stairs, glaring down at him. They stalked down the steps, lifting him up. Together, they threw him against the floor. Lily knelt beside him, pinning him down. Matt procured a stake, thrusting it through Edge’s heart. Lily unsheathed a knife from the top of her boot. Dragging it slowly, she cut the skin around Edge’s neck. His blood ran along the floor, and his body shriveled up and turned to dust. Lily withdrew a small box...
