Christian lay there tossing and turning, unable to sleep for very long. He slowly got out of bed , careful not to disturb Gabrielle. It had been nearly two days since the fight. Since she had been ripped from his existance ans since Edge left him helpless and alone. ~ Maybe it’s better that he’s gone. He’d only sit around and mope wanting to end his life because she’s dead. It must be hell to know that you killed the person you love the most in life.~ he thought to himself. He tried to pick up on Edge’s mental waves but he couldn’t. Edge must be blocking him. He glanced over his shoulder at the lifeless body of the woman he loved.

She was still his beautiful Gabrielle.

~No matter what she was doing when she died.~ he said trying to block the memory of seeing Gabrielle leaving with Kael. All her bags were packed. She was just going to leave and never look back. She was going to leave his world again and there wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it. There was so much he needed to do and even more that he wanted to do but he was paralyzed with fear. Fear that he would never see her again. That she would forget all about him.

He positions himself sitting on the window seal facing the bed to look at her. His angel. Sleeping like a baby. At least that’s what he was going to pretend she was doing.

"Gabrielle, it seems like everytime we see each other we’re saying good bye. I remember when you first came into my life and when you returned to me just six months ago. That’s not enough time! (Little laugh) but then again no time with you was never enough" he sighed and leaned his head against the cool glass. His mind wandered back to when they picked her up at the airport and everything was just as it should be. Back to before when Kael ruined it all.
