She drew her knees up to her chest, and sat, staring at him. "No ones ever really shot me down like this before. I'm usually the one turning the guys down….."

Nervous habit. He ran his hands through his hair. They were both silent for what seemed like a long time, but was only seconds.

"Well, do you want to go home, or something?" Chris finally said, quietly, eyes down.

"No. I don't ever want to." Claudia responded staring at him. He didn't return her gaze, eyes still on the floor.

"So then what are we supposed to do? Stay here in an uncomfortable silence for the whole night?"

"We can talk, we can watch tv…whatever. I just…don't want to leave." His eyes darted up.

"Why? Is it what I said before, about the attraction? Look, the longer you're here, the more tempted I am. Like I said before, I don't wanna fuck you." She groaned at the subject again, and took his hand.

"Did I ever say anything about sex? God, I just want to spend time with you! Is that so wrong? Is that so threatening?"

"Just being near you. Right now, I want you, and you have no ide how hard it is to stop myself."

"If you want me, you can have me." Chris looked at her sternly.

"No. and get out." He rose from where he sat, and gestured to the door.

"What?"

"I said, get out. Now."

"why?" Claudia said as she rose to stand face to face with him.

"Just get out. I don't need you, I don't need this shit, so leave. If we can't come to an agreement, than you have to leave." She looked at him stunned, then her eyes glazed over with anger.

"Fine. You want me gone, I'm gone. I thought you felt something, but if you're kicking me out then I’ll go. No strings attached." With that, she took a deep breath and stormed from the room, hearing Chris slam the door behind her. In the elevator, she wondered what the hell she had done.
