Kael crept into his kitchen, not being able to sleep. Maybe a mid morning snack would help, god knows, nothing else did. He scratched at his stomach, opening up the refrigerator door, his basement apartment lighting up by the 20-volt lightbulb inside. He looked at the stacks of bloodbags he had stored in there, for a rainy day.

"Hmmm" he joked, running his fingers through his platinum hair. "What to choose...what to choose? A positive, or O negative."

A creek coming from down his hall instantly broke his concentration. He perked up his ears, listening into the creaking floorboards coming closer. Kael closed the refrigerator, hiding all possible light and hid behind the doorframe, awaiting his uninvited visitor.

The dark shadow entered his kitchen, barely passing him when he furiously pounced, wrapping his arms around them, tearing his visitor to the ground. They rolled around the tiled floor, each trying to outwrestle each other. Kael’s fangs formed; ready to tear apart at his opponent, when he was viciously thrown across the room. His opponent ran to his lightswitch, turning it on.

Kaels face turned pale when he saw just who it was, taking a deep breath, nearing her, and embracing her.

"What the fuck was that?" Kendall asked, pushing him off of her. "Shit Kael, I thought you were going to rip my fucking head off."

"Don’t be so over dramatic Spider," Kael snarled heading back to his refrigerator. "It was nothing."

Kendall walked over to his bed, lying across it, making herself comfortable.

Kael buried his head deeper into the freezer, muttering every once in a while. "Hey darling, I went over your place tonight but you weren’t there…off on another feeding frenzy?"

Kendall turned on her stomach, facing the kitchen. "No Kael," she called out. "I went out with Raven tonight. He told me everything…about the others."

"That’s nice…" Keal muttered, not fully paying attention.

Kendall sat up frustratedly, "What the hell are you doing in their Kael?"

Kael poked his head up to face her, a childish grin across his face. "Nothing dear, Just getting a little midnight snack." He moved aside a bloodbag, coming across a tasty morsel. "I have leftovers," he told her holding up a half-eaten human hand. "You want a snack?"

Kael tossed the hand back into the freezer, kicking it closed when she shook her head. She caught Kael glancing over at her, and lay back on his bed again, stretching herself out again. He smiled wickedly when she took off her jacket, tossing it on the ground next to his bed, making herself comfortable.

"May I ask what you’re doing?" Kael grinned, making his way over to his bed.

She smiled, turning to her side, making room for him to sit down.

"Well you don’t expect me to go home now do you?" she laughed, snuggling closer to him when he sat. "After all, the suns come out…so looks like I’m sleeping over."

"Why you little vixen," he growled. "You planned this didn’t you?" She smiled. "And may I ask what has put you in this…" he stopped, staring down at her awaiting body, licking his lips. "Oh so splendid mood?"

"I know what I have to do," she laughed menacingly, satisfied at her plan she had thought up. "And it’s sheer brilliance."
