Edge and Christian stood in the kitchen, a few feet away from Kael and Kendall, eyeing them suspiciously, never taking their eyes off of Kael for a second.

"I know I’m a freaking god to look at, but will you kindly stop staring at me" Kael hissed as he rummaged through the kitchen cabinets, slamming each door when he found it didn’t contain what he was looking for. "Dammit, where the hell are your glasses?"

Edge shot Kael a disgruntled look, pushing him aside as he opened the cabinet over the sink, handing Kael a small shot glass. Kael grabbed at it as he began sinking his teeth into the Whisky cap to get it open. He smiled wickedly, happy at what he had just achieved as he spit the bottle cap onto the tiled floor. "Well now," he began. "Shall we have a drink?"

Christian grabbed a napkin off the counter, picking up the chewed up cap, tossing it into the trash before whipping his hands on his jeans. Edge crossed his hands over his muscular chest, shooting Kael a puzzled look. "So what’s the real reason you’re here? I know it’s not to catch up on the good old times, cause they’re weren’t any."

"Oh come on." Kael cut in, slamming the bottle gently on the table behind him. "What about the time we were drunk in London? Or the time we were drunk and tore apart those people during the bloody Mardi Gras? You’re telling me that wasn’t fun?"

Edge rolled his eyes, leaning back on the counter behind him. "Those times have passed." He could tell this was going to be a long visit. Kael and him had never really become close friends. They were friends many years ago yes, but after all the bloodshed, and all the liquor, what was there? Nothing. Edge found that out fast. Edge learned that the only real people who he could trust, the only ones who were really his friends, were the people living with him in his home, Gabrielle and Christian.

"And who’s she?" Christian finally asked him, when it became painfully obvious that Kael wasn’t going to introduce her.

Kael poured some whisky into the glass Edge had given him, handing it to Kendall. She grabbed it gratefully, slowly taking a sip. She stared at Edge, Never taking her eyes off him. She was trying to figure him out… what made him tick. What he was like.

Kael took a swig from the bottle, whipping his mouth on his jacket sleeve before grabbing Kendalls waist, pulling her towards him. "This jewel right here is my Spider," he cooed, kissing her neck quickly, before taking another drink. "These are the two I was telling you about," he whispered to her. "And the retched one sleeping on the couch over there is Gabrielle."

Edge took a step forward, taking offense to what Kael had just called Gabrielle, but was quickly stopped by Christian. "I think it’s time you leave." Christian told him holding back Edge, his jaw muscles tightening more ever second.

"Oh pish posh" Kael exclaimed with a flick of the wrist. "We just got here and that’s no way to treat a guest."

"Funny cause I don’t remember inviting you." Edge shot back, now feeling a little calmer.

Kendall looked into the other room. Gabrielle there asleep. ‘So innocent’ she thought to herself. How easy it would be to just take her life right there. With a single moment she could end Gabrielle’s existence, just as Raven wanted to do to all of them for so long. She began slowly walking into the living room to where Gabrielle slept, a grin coming across her face.

"Wait a second…" Edge called out to her, then turned to Kael. "Where’s she going?"

Kael pushed his bottle closer to Edges face, wrapping one arm around his neck. "Relax old chum. She’s just gonna play. What did you think she was going to do?" he asked, laughing to himself. "…Kill her?"

Kendall walked slowly into the living room, softening each step so she could not be heard. She sat on the sofa where Edge had once been laying and took a soft sip from her glass, looking at Gabrielle from top to bottom. There wasn’t much to her. It would probably be easy to take her life. Now she had to find the perfect way to do it. ‘BeHeading?’ she thought to herself. ‘nah, too messy… Holy water? Fire?’ she shook her head as she knew that those things would not be available to her at that moment. She chuckled to herself, finishing off her drink as she set it on the coffee table in front of her.

Kendall peeked into the kitchen, seeing Kael still distracting both brothers. This was her chance, Gabrielle was asleep. She would never get a chance as easy as this one. She got up, pacing the room looking for something she could use to assist her.

She waited to make sure Gabrielle was still asleep before she scurried to the fireplace, looking frantically for any piece of wood that had not completely burned out. She tugged at a chunk of firewood that was stuck towards the bottom, buried under a pile of ashes. Kendall pulled away at the end, ripping off the access splits from the sides, trying to get it as sharp as she could.

Kendall just hoped that Kael knew what she was up to, and that he’d have time to escape from Edge and Christians cluthes in case Gabrielle awoke screaming.

She took her place back by Gabrielle, holding the rough stake between both her hands. ‘This was it’ she thought to herself. ‘Can’t turn back now’ She raised the stake over her head, looking down at Gabrielle, seeing her perfect spot for her to pierce the piece of firewood through. A direct shot to her heart.

Gabrielle moved slightly, letting out a soft moan. Kendall could tell that Gabrielle was almost awake. She had to act fast. She took one last look into the kitchen, catching a glimpse of Kaels eyes on her, smiling with approval, before turning back to Edge and Christian, probably to get another drink.

Kendall slowly came down with the stake, stopping quickly when she heard a loud crash coming from the kitchen. She hid the stake behind her back; shoving it into the couch cushion as Gabrielle’s eyes quickly popped open, awoken by the ruckus.

"Edge?" she called out softly, sitting up, seeing Kendall sitting on the couch next to her. Kendall smiled back innocently, grabbing the glass that she had set down minutes ago. She had to look like nothing had happened.

Edge, Christian and Kael came walking into the living room to join them. Edge sat down next to Gabrielle, placing an arm around her shoulder. "It’s ok Gabrielle. It was just a bottle that fell."

Kendall shot Kael a dark look. It was almost done. She had almost killed Gabrielle, and Kael had messed it up.

Kendall made sure the stake was buried down far into the couch before she set her glass back down, getting up to join Kael across the room. "It’s been fun," she lied to the 3 of them, "but we really should get going."

"Uhh yea," Keal added, smiling nervously. "My pet would really like to get me all to herself. So if you don’t mind…"

"No Not at all," Christian answered quickly, getting up to show them to the door. Edge turned away, he knew that Kael had come for a reason, just didn’t know what it was. He would find out though. Kael was up to something and he was determined to find out just what in the hell was going on.
