Perfect she wanted, and perfect it was. For once since the first night he found her, Edge and Gabrielle were together without fear, without questions in the backs of their minds, and without interference. Christian was the best friend again, for both of them. The trio lived as they should have, and engaged in what normal activities could still be salvaged. As another spring dawned on them, time flew as it could only for immortals, but in the early spring rush a sense of death overcame Gabrielle as it always had. It was 21 years ago she had killed Jeff, and the exact date she even remembered. She had never quite let him go. When she became overwhelmed with guilt and grief, she begged to be taken to the spot where it all happened and Edge and Christian complied. It was there that she let him go, and then spring after spring passed for them, always blooming in perfection. TO pass the idle days when there was nothing to do but sit around, Christian bought Gabrielle a cat, which she promptly named Eddie, garnering a hopeless sigh from Edge. Another twenty years passing say the death of Eddie, their last tie to New Orleans. Gabrielle decided on a road trip for the three of them, to wherever the van took them.
