"I look like a drowned rat!" Lily exclaimed in horror.
"I dunno...where do you want to go first?" Matt asked. Gabby poofed Lily dry.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Wanna go shopping or get ice cream?"
"I don't care...it's up to you guys, Matt and Jeffy...I don't have to walk...remember?"
"Kay then. I pose the same question to Jeffy and Matt."
"I wanna go get some hair-dye..." Jeff asserted.
"I don't care....I wanna buy somethin cute for my Lily before we leave though," Matt added.
"I could use some hair dye actually..." Gabby said, joining thoughts with Jeff.
"Well....what's going on? What we gonna do?" Lily wondered.
"Umm...well, Matt can buy you hair dye for a present," Gabby suggested.
"I don't want to dye my pretty hair! I like it blonde and pretty like it is..." Lily defended.
"Oh. Well....I dunno then. Let Matt and Jeffy decide."
"They told you what they wanna do," Lily pointed out.
"Well...I dunno! We can flip a coin," Gabby suggested.
"Okay," everyone agreed.
"Heads its hair dye, tails its somethin cute for Lily," Gabby decided. She whipped out a coin and flipped it. "You look," Gabby commanded.
"I can't see over Matt's shoulder. Edgie what is it?" Lily asked sweetly.
"Tails. Somethin for Lily," Edge informed them.
"We can get something for Gabby too," Lily decided on her own.
"Yeah, she needs cheering up," Edge agreed.
"Agreed."
"Let's go," Jeff whined.
"Whoo-hoo. Presents all around," Gabby noticed. "Okay. First stop...umm...wherever Matt wants to go."
"I'm following you," Matt commented.
"Aw crappies. Then we're gonna get lost," Gabby mentioned.
"Alright...I’ll lead," Matt expressed with a sigh.
"Good idea," Gabby and Edge agreed. Matt led them towards a cute little Goth store and walked in. Gabby squealed and dragged Edge over to something shinny. Lily pointed to a pair of velvet pants. Gabby squealed again. "I love this place!" she exclaimed. Lily smiled.
"Mattie? Can you find me a medium?" Matt handed her a medium. Gabby sighed.
"I so love this place," she reiterated. Lily slid off of Matt's back with great pain, and limped over to a mesh-shirt with holes for her thumbs. She grabbed her size and limped into the dressing room. Gabby continued staring around in awe. Lily opened the velvet curtain.
"How do I look?" Lily asked.
"Oohh, I gotta borrow that sometime," Gabby told her. Jeff handed her a little black velvet skirt, and then a short black leather skirt.
"Sure," Lily assured her.
"Go try those on with..." he began, handing her a tight black velvet shirt. "That," he finished.
"Hmm...think anyone would notice if Edge accompanied me into a change room?" Gabby pondered.
"Being that this is the only room and I'm in it...uh yeah"
"Damn." Lily tried on both outfits on and stepped out, much to Jeff and Matt's approval.
"What do you think Edgie?" Edge nods slowly, so Gabby didn’t get jealous and put him in the cage with Chris.
Lily smiled as Jeff blurted out, "I wonder what he's really thinking"
"He's thinking about how good I'd look in the same outfit," Gabby responded for him. "Well...I'd probably look JUST as good in it anyway."
"Yes I'm sure," Lily agreed, garnering a grin from Edge.
"Well, I'd try it on, but I'm not in the mood to try stuff on. I want ice cream," Gabby whined.
"Alrighty."
"Sooooo HURRY UP!" Gabby yelled.
"Hang on a sec," Lily said, changing out of the clothes and handing them to Matt.
"Go on ahead, we'll catch up," he commanded Gabby and Edge. Gabby looked around impatiently before dragging Edge out of the store and towards...some sort of ice cream place. Lily limped over and grabbed the bags from Matt's hands and tossed them to Jeff to carry. She climbed on his back and they headed towards Edge and Gabby.
"What ice cream place?" Gabby yelled back. "I can't see any ice cream place!"
"So poof one up," Edge offered. Gabby poofed up a Ben and Jerry's. Ran to the Ben and Jerry's and ordered a big bowl of Chunky Monkey. She looked around for Lily, Matt and Jeff.
"Hurry your asses up," Gabby called.
"I wanna a small cone of vanilla ice cream," Lily informed her, entering the shop with Matt.
"That all?" Gabby questioned in shock.
"Yeah...with rainbow sprinkles," Lily added.
"Jeeeeeffie, what you want?" Gabby asked. Jeff dashed into the ice cream store in a blur of blue and red hair and pressed his nose against the glass.
"I dunno," he said.
"Well, take yer time. Get something that matches your hair. Matt?"
"Some chocolate ice cream please," Matt answered, placing Lily down on a chair and laughing at Jeff.
"I want that and that and that...umm...can't I just have...umm...something colorful?" Jeff whined.
"Quick! order him something before he goes into sugar failure!" Lily commanded. Gabby ordered something colorful for Jeff, chocolate for Matt, and vanilla for Lily.
"Guuuuys, come get it," she called. Matt walked over to get his and Lily’s. Jeff bounced around and grabbed his, bouncing over to the table, nearly knocking Matt over.
"Calm down Jeff...you're overly energetic today," Lily noted. Gabby laughed at them, taking her own ice cream and slipping into the corner booth with Edge. Lily licked at her ice cream, sprinkles falling on her hands.
"Lily?? Tell Edge to stop eating my ice cream. He said he would share."
"Edgie! stop it...be nice," Lily ordered. "Jeff...slow down...I promise nobody's going to steal it from you."
"I might...I mean...nevermind," Gabby mumbled.
"What were you going to say?" Lily asked. Gabby shrugged and turned back to Edge, feeding him ice cream. Lily sighed, licking on her ice cream. Gabby shoved the bowl away.
"I can't eat anymore...I'm done," she announced. Lily looked back at Jeff who finished licking the bowl, and then at Matt who was almost done.
"Here Jeffie...finish mine," she told him.
"Thank gods for the guys. Hehe. Well...now what do we do?"
"I dunno," Lily responded. She glanced at Jeff who gave her a look with evil intentions.
"Movie? Or more shopping?" Gabby offered.
"It's up to you guys," Jeff told her again.
"What does that mean? It could mean anything," Gabby commented.
"By god it's Jeff...do you need to ask? After what he told you in the car?"
"Well...you can do evil things whilst shopping...like in the change rooms...and while you're watching a movie..." Gabby trailed off.
"Yeah I know," Lily said. Gabby sighed.
"Matt, decide for us," she said.
"Why me? Ask Edge," he told her.
"He'll never be able to decide. Like I said, all he cares about is sex. So...Maaaatt...pleaaaase?"
Matt grumbled under his breath.
"It's up to you girls...the mall is the girl thing...not a guy thing," he announced matter of factly.
"I guess we could go see a movie?" Lily said softly.
"Sounds good. Evil things can be done there. What movie?"
"God Gabby, do I have to think of everything? It’s up to you," she said.
Gabby thought for a moment before announcing, "A scary movie."
"I'm afraid of scary movies," Lily confided.
"You mean...you were actually going to watch the movie?"
"Well...I was gonna try...don't forget...there are two of them and one of me...where you have only Edge to look after," Lily informed her.
"So...Just make one of them watch the movie and play with the other. Its easy. I've done it many times."
"Yeah well...I'm not that skilled."
"It’s not skill, it’s control," Gabby corrected her.
"Which I have none of either," Lily added.
"But you need to get some...control, I mean." Lily laughed and shook her head. Jeff wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
"Finally, someone can talk some sense into her...it's gotta be a girl thing...only girls can convince each other to do things...it's crazy...ain't it guys?" he asked. Edge and Matt nodded.
"We're outnumbered Gabs," Lily noted.
"I know...but see, I hold complete control over Edge. So, he doesn't count."
But Jeffy is wild."
"Is he ever..." Gabby agreed.
"Matt listens to me...cause he doesn't wanna lay me apparently," Lily observed.
"Really? Wow. Maybe if I stopped putting out, they'd listen to me too."
"Maybe...but Matt doesn't want to hurt me...and Jeffy doesn't listen...but maybe it's cause he never gets any," Lily concluded. Gabby shook her head.
"See! Jeffie needs to get some," she commanded Lily.
"Yeah and? Point is?"
"YOU need to get some too," she added.
"He'll live without any...I am after all...and so is Matt," Lily deducted.
"But...its such a boring existence...isn't it?" Gabby asked.
"Sometimes...but you see...I don't know the difference."
"So...screw Jeff. Then you WILL know the difference," Gabby told her. There’s a very simple solution...and I'm sure you and Jeff would both like it. I mean, you don't want him ending up in a cage with a crackbaby like SOMEONE else, do you?" Gabby asserted.
"No...not at all. But doesn't it hurt?" Lily asked meekly.
"Well...it might a little at first, but it’s Jeff! He'll be gentle, I'm sure," Gabby assured her.
"Yeah sure...sugar boy? Mr. Hyperactive himself?"
"Then Matt...what about Matt?" she asked.
"But...it's gonna hurt..." Lily mumbled.
"Not if he's gentle! Which I'm sure he will be."
"I suppose...are you sure it's not gonna hurt?" Lily reiterated, fearful.
"Lily, I'm sure. You'll be fine."
"But...I don't wanna," Lily whined.
"Then don't. It’s up to you," Gabby told her.
"Cause if I pick Matt then Jeff’s gonna get mad, and if I pick Jeffy, then Mattie's gonna get mad... I dunno...maybe I will. Let's just go catch a movie?"
"So...make sure on is distracted or preoccupied. They have to understand that you can't be with both of them at once...until a little later. Sure. Lets go." Lily waited for Matt to stand and pick her up. She made herself comfy.
"What movie are we seeing again?" she asked.
"We never really decided," Gabby said. She started walking with Edge to the theater. "We'll decide when we get there," she added.
"Agreed," the three announced. Lily followed along with Jeff and Matt.
"Look, we're here." Matt stopped short.
"Yes...apparently we are. You’re so good at pointing out the obvious," he snickered.
"All right...what are we gonna see peoples?" Gabby asked.
"It's up to you guys," Lily said.
"I wanna see...Ummm...I dunno," Lily concluded.
"Well...what don't you wanna see?" Matt asked.
"I don't wanna see any action movies," Gabby and Lily responded.
"Okay then...agreed," Matt said.
"Let's go see the Crow?" Lily asked.
"Sure. Works for me."
"Why? So you can drool over Brandon Lee?" Jeff accused. Lily stuck out her tongue at him. Jeff grabbed her tongue with his hand and pulled softly. Lily wiggled.
"'elp! 'elp!" she cried.
"Guuuuys, save the foreplay for the theater," Gabby commanded.
"'elp!" Lily cried again. Gabby looked the other way, trying not to laugh. Matt laughed as Lily wiggled and yelped. Lily hit Jeff's hand. He let go and Lily pouted.
"Awww, ya didn't need to hit him. Poor Jeffie," she said.
"But! He hurt me!" she defended. Jeff whimpered and headed over to Gabby for comfort.
"And two wrongs don't make a right," she reprimanded. She consoled Jeff who stared at Lily, looking hurt. Lily pouted and whimpered into Matt's shoulder.
"Well...if he hadn't grabbed my tongue in the first place..." she mumbled.
"Wait...did you do this on purpose so you could be alone with Matt?"
"Not at all. Jeff wronged first!" she whined.
"But it just worked out soooo perfectly..." Gabby noticed. Lily climbed off of Matt's back and limped off to a far corner of the mall and then disappeared in a poof of smoke. Gabby sighed, then sent Matt after her. Lily sat in the loft crying, staring out into the rain. Gabby poofed herself to the loft and sat beside Lily.
"It’s not fair," Lily announced.
"Hay, what's wrong now?" Gabby asked.
"You were mean...I didn’t plan nothing...I never plan nothing and you were being mean..." Lily trailed off.
"I was not! I just thought you might have decided on Matt..." Gabby offered.
"No...I never decide on anything...I just kinda go with the flow," Lily informed her.
"But wouldn't it be nice to plan something just once?"
"Nope...not always..."
"But really, I wasn’t' trying to be mean...I'm sorry if it came out like that," Gabby apologized.
"Okay...I forgive you. Now lets just see if Jeffy forgives me." Lily poofed Jeff into the loft. "Why wouldn't he? He loves you..." Gabby told her.
"Are you mad at me Jeffy?" Lily asked meekly. Jeff pounced her and the two fell over backwards. "I’ll take that as a no," Lily said between laughs.
"What did I tell you?" Gabby asked, laughing as well. Lily giggled.
"Back to the mall? That movie should be starting soon..." Lily poked Jeff.
"Sure," Gabby agreed, poofing the three back to the movie. Lily landed in a chair next to Jeff and Matt.
"Okay...so what are we seeing again?"
"The Crow. So you can drool over Brandon Lee," Gabby remembered.
"Oh...hey! You're gonna drool over him too and you know it."
"I know, I know...but I'm gonna try and restrain myself so Edge doesn't get jealous," Gabby whispered.
"Good idea," Lily agreed. Lily poked Jeff. "Knock it off till the lights go out at least...yeash." Gabby made the lights go off.
"There," Gabby said with a grin.
"Thanks a lot Gabs," Lily replied, dripping with sarcasm. "Would you wait just a second?" she whispered to Jeff. "I think that the hospital is looking like a good possibility tomorrow..."
"Oh just forget about it for now. Watch the movie," Gabby commanded.
"I'm trying to...but Jeff just kicked it..."
"What the hell was he doing??"
"Um...I don't know...I think he was trying to pull me over to him and hit it on accident..."
"Ooooh. Okay...well...maybe he's a little too hyper after that ice cream...You can send him over here if you want..."
"Umm...shhh...the movie is on." After a few moments, she added, "All right...I'm fidgety already."
"That’s cause of the ice cream. Maybe a movie wasn't a good idea."
"So the let's go," Jeff suggested with an attitude.
"Go where?" Matt asked. Lily stood up but then sunk back into the seat in pain.
"Don’t know," Lily told him.
"Hospital?" Gabby suggested.
"They’re going to poke me with a needle. And can we trust the boys around nurses?"
"I know I can trust Edge..."
"And I can trust Matt..." Lily said, glaring at Jeff.
"I can take care of Jeffie if you want..." Gabby offered.
"He's coming in with me...you all have to come in with me..."
"I know, but I can distract him..." Lily sighed.
"You won't drool over a dead guy in front of Edge, but you'll "distract" a live one?"
"Well...that’s different..."
"How so?"
"Because...it just is." Lily sighed again. "Well!! It is!! I can't explain everything," Gabby said. "Well...okay, lets say I was in your place, and Edge needed distracting to keep him off the nurses...would you do it?"
"If you really wanted me to...but you said you can trust Edge."
"It was a hypothetical situation," Gabby said with a sigh.
"True...all right...all right...you can. Let’s just go...cause it hurts..," she whined.
"Really??? Thank you!! Okay, we're going," Gabby remarked, sounding enthused.
"Yikes...Jeff...let go of my foot...you're really, really hurting me...let it go...Ow...Damn it Jeff, let go." Jeff let go. Lily kissed his forehead. "Thank you."
"Jeff! Stop being so troublesome. Let’s just go. So...shall we drive to the hospital, or poof there?"
"Well...it's raining pretty hard...and there's thunder...and lightning," Lily moaned.
"Poof it is." Lily smiled, climbing into Matt’s arms and waited for the poof. Gabby poofed everyone to the ER.
