Lily sat up in the loft. Matt was fast asleep, lying on his back with his head in her lap. Jeff was occupied trying to solve the Rubik's cube. Lily started to pick hay out of Matt's hair softly. Gabby flipped on the CD player to Pearl Jam and sat in the hay on the bottom floor, putting small braids in his hair. Lily sang along to "Oceans" with Gabby. "We should go on an adventure somewhere," Gabby announced. Lily flipped the song to "Black".

"Yes...yes we should. Did you figure out what to say to Mattie? He's still very upset."

"I don't know...I'm still kinda thinkin..." Gabby said, trailing off into thought. Lily nodded and picked some more hay out of his hair.

"So where do you wanna go?" Lily asked.

"We can go see a movie, or we can go shopping for food, or we can go shopping for clothes, or to the video store or to the CD store," Gabby offered.

"We could...ask Edgie. Cause Matt is asleep and Jeff is busy."

"He won't give me an answer. He doesn't care. I say...movie."

"What movie?" Lily asked. She placed Matt's head on the floor softly and crawled on her hands and knees over to Jeff. She lay on her back and looked up at Jeff's face. His eyebrows were furrowed in frustration.

"Somethin scary?"

"What do you want to do love?" Lily asked Jeff.

"I'll bet he gets scared," Gabby mumbled.

"He wants to go to the mall...or the video store."

"The mall, eh? But what do we need there?" Edge asked.

"We can...shop? I dunno. Walk around?" Jeff contended.

"Oohhh, we can make Jeffie try on clothes for us!" Gabby exclaimed. Jeff looked down over the edge to look at Gabby.

"Evil child," he commented.

"Who me?" Gabby asked innocently. Jeff nodded. "Ask Lily. I'm sure she wants to see you try on clothes too."

"Well that's different...I'm allowed to want to...he's mine." She stuck her tongue out at Gabby.

"Well? Can't we share?"

"Yeah, I guess. That is if he wants me to share with you....I'm sure he doesn't care though."

"I bet so. Cause I'm not mean to him. You can have Edge or Chrissy if ya want anytime. Well, not ANYTIME...but when we're not engaged in certain activities."

"No, that's okay. I'm happy with Mattie and Jeffie." Lily snuggled down with Matt. Gabby sighed and poked the dying fire. "So...what'cha wanna do?" Gabby clapped. "Where ya wanna go?" Jeff threw the Rubik's cube across the room.

"Damn thing," he muttered.

At the same time Jeff threw the cube, Gabby called out "Well, Jeffie wants to go to the mall."

"SHHHHH! You're gonna wake up Matt!" She felt Matt stir behind her.

"Oops...now he’s gonna be more upset, isn’t he?" Gabby inquired softly.

Lily rolled over and kissed Matt’s forehead. "Good afternoon sweetling. Feeling any better?" Matt nodded. "Good."

"But he’s prolly still pissed at me," Gabby mumbled.

"Wake up sweetie. We’re all trying to figure out what to do," Lily informed him. Matt sat up and Lily sat in his lap, smoothing his hair out. Her hand got tangled in a mass of wavy hair.

"I say we go to the mall, then go see a movie. What does he think?" Gabby inserted.

"Mattie, Gabby wants to go to the mall, and then see a movie. Jeffy wants to go to the mall, Edge doesn’t care...we have no idea about Chrissy. I’ll do whatever you and Jeffie want to do. So what do you want to do?" Lily implored.

"AHH!" Gabby exclaimed. "Where the hell is Chrissy anyway?" Lily pointed to the cage containing X-Pac.

"Look! They’re both sleeping like babies!" Lily taunted.

"ACK! He is so getting his ass kicked...I told him to stay away from the crack-baby!" Gabby directed. Lily motioned to both Chrissy and X-Pac sleeping on the floor of the cage.

"But they look so cute together....kinda," Lily admitted. Gabby grabbed the poking stick and poked them both awake. "I swear I didn’t do it!" Lily declared.

"No, they did it. IT! Christian’s not going to be joining us this evening. He gets to be locked in cage number 2."

"Who did it? Who hung Christian in the cage?" Lily implored.

"Maybe he did it himself," Gabby pondered.

"I told you he wanted X-Pac! You didn’t listen to me!" Lily pointed out.

"But...why would he want X-Pac? god, nevermind. I don’t even wanna KNOW! He can just stay there then..." Gabby decided.

"Okay then..." Lily began.

"So, are we going to the mall?" Gabby asked.

"It’s up to Matt, ad he’s still thinking."

"Oh. Kay." Gabby sat down with Edge and waited.

"I wanna go to the mall and see a movie," Matt admitted.

"An I’ll be nice too..." Gabby announced. Lily sent Matt and Jeff down the stairs while she jumped from the loft to the ground floor. Gabby waved and got up, pulling Edge with her.

"OwOwOw," Lily cried out, grabbing her foot.

"Uh-oh," Gabby said.

"That hurt...but I’ll be okay."

"You sure?" they all asked simultaneously.

"Yeah...I think so. I’ll tend to it when we get back, I’m not going to be a hindrance to out little adventure. Can I have a piggy-back ride Mattie?"

"But if you’re hurt..." Gabby began.

"Nonsense...I’ll be fine. I promise," Lily assured her. "A broken foot isn’t that bad..." she mumbled under her breath. "Besides, Matt is strong, and I’m not heavy...he can carry me around all day," Lily reassured the group.

"Kay. I’ll buy you ice cream at the mall too, kay? And I’ll buy some for everyone else too," Gabby announced.

"Yay!"

"So, who drives? Or do we just poof there?" Lily looked at her foot.

"I’m not driving. I’m gonna sit in Matt’s lap...why don’t we take Jeffie’s corvette? Or we could take Edge’s van," Lily explained.

"Well...should we just poof there? Cause Edge drives like a madman...that’s how he does pretty much everything..." Gabby began.

"So does Jeffie...Matt drives calmly though," Lily interjected.

"Matt, wanna drive?" Gabby asked him.

Matt replied, "Umm...all right..."

"Thank youuuus. Can we sit in the back?" Lily climbed off his back and winced when her right foot touched the floor. She limped over to Jeff and leaned on him.

"Yeah sure...which car are we taking?" Matt implored.

"The biig black van," Gabby informed him.

"Alright," Matt replied. Gabby raced Edge outside to the van and jumped in the back. Lily limped along slowly and painfully behind Jeff. Matt scooped her up and carried her in his arms to the black van. He placed her in the front seat and climbed into the drivers side. Jeff made himself comfy and Lily put her foot up on his knee. Matt looks back at the two in the back.

"Ready?" he asked. Gabby peeled herself away from Edge.

"Yup," she responded.

"All right," Matt said.

"What are we gonna listen to?" Gabby asked. Matt started the car and drove off at about 65 mph on the highway, headed towards the mall. Lily popped in the Pearl Jam CD Vitalogy. Gabby looked outside at the rain and sang along with Better Man. Lily stared out at the rain. Gabby sniffled. "Why did Chrissy have to screw that crack-baby??" she implored.

"Cause he got tired of screwing you?" Lily asked.

"But...maybe its cause I was kinda mad at him...he did it to get me back, I guess..." Gabby contemplated.

"Maybe," Lily agreed.

"Are we there yet?" Gabby whined.

"No," Matt answered.

"I bet Jeff wouldn't ever fuck that crackbaby, would he?" Gabby asked.

"No....I wouldn't thank you," Jeff assured her and Lily.

"See? You're nice. Chrissy isn't," Gabby concluded.

"Ask Jeff what he'd rather be doing..." Lily began.

"Oh Jeeeeffie? What would you rather be doing?" Gabby asked him.

"What do you think I'd rather be doing?" Jeff asked.

"Do you mean 'what', or 'who'?" Gabby responded. Jeff grinned.

"Figure it out for yourself," Jeff implied.

"And you call me evil!" Gabby exclaimed.

"Hey! it's not my fault she's all little miss innocent...is it?" Jeff stated.

"Actually, it might be your fault...I’m sure YOU could make her less innocent..."

"I'm sure I could...if only she'd let me," Jeff emphasized, poking Lily. "What would you rather be doing Edge?"

"Certainly not anything with little crack-whore X-Pac," he informed them. Lily giggled.

"Lily! I can't believe you two haven't done anything yet! That’s...insane," Gabby cried out.

"Sorrie! You're an author! Make me do something when it is your turn to write if you think I'm crazy! Matt.....what would you rather be doing?" Matt thought a moment.

"Woooow. He couldn't answer that right off?" Gabby said, impressed.

"Because like myself, he doesn't have sex on the brain 24-7," Lily informed them

"I don't know.....I'd like to get out of this rain for one.....I'd rather be writing music..." Matt stated.

"So...you don't wanna have sex with anyone?" Gabby implored.

"Well...I do...but I don't think about it all the time," Matt defended.

Gabby whispered to Lily, "I think I got gypped with my guys here. All they want is sex."

"I think you did too.....I have a poet and a musician...you got two sex hounds..." Lily whispered back. She looked outside at the dismal weather. "Matt, honey, are we almost there?" He nodded.

"Think I can trade them in for something better?" Gabby asked with a whisper.

"I don't think so...these kind of boys are rare....," Lily whispered back before singing "How do you talk to an Angel." Gabby sighed, and finished braiding little bits of Edge’s hair. Matt honked at somebody and then pulled over to the side of the road.

"I think we should wait a minute or so for the rain to die down, don't you think?" Matt expressed.

"Sure," Gabby replied. Both Lily and Jeff shrugged. "I miss Chrissy," Gabby admitted. Lily poofed him up in the back of the van. She bit her lip with pain about her ankle, which was ten times it's usual size. "Well, I'm STILL mad at him! Wanna go to the hospital?"

"No...I’ll be fine." She made Chris go away. She looked out the window, ignoring all questions about her pain.

You sure? It shouldn't be swelled like that," Gabby noted.

"I'll be fine..." Lily insisted.

"You sure? Cause if you need to go to the hospital, I'm sure Matt will take you."

"No...I'm fine...it just...hurts and I think it might be broken...but I’m afraid of hospitals and I don't want a cast," Lily admitted.

"Well...if it gets worse, we ARE taking you to a hospital, kay?" Gabby instructed.

"No," Lily inserted.

"Yes!!" Gabby argued.

"Let's just forget it, go to the mall and have fun. I think the roads are better now Matt....lets go," Lily commanded.

"Fine. We'll have fun. Loads of fun," Gabby added, dripping with sarcasm.

"Not until you agree," Matt informed her.

"Fine I agree. Let's just go," Lily agreed.

"Good," Gabby added, happy with herself. Matt started to drive again. "Can we listen to Rasputina now?" Gabby asked.

"Yeah sure," Lily replied, putting Rasputina in. She turned on the heat a little bit.

"YAY! Its mood music. It works well with the rain," Gabby commented. As soon as she said that, thunder boomed and lightning struck the sky. Lily leaped out of the seat and landed in Jeff's lap, shaking. Gabby smiled and put her head on Edge's shoulder. Lily began to cry. Gabby relaxed back on Edge, singing quietly. Lily continued to cry.

"I hate storms, I hate storms," Lily whispered to herself.

"Its okay Lily. You've got Jeff," Gabby assured her. Jeff tightened his grip around her. "We'll be there soon, right Matt?" she implored.

"Yeah," Matt answered, turning into the parking lot and pulling into the closest spot he could find. "Fast enough for ya?"

"Whoa. Yup." Matt got out and retrieved an umbrella. He handed the umbrella to Jeff who got out behind him. He walked around to Lily and picked her up, putting her on his back in piggy-back style fashion. Gabby grabbed her blue umbrella with the stars on it as Edge climbed out behind her, running to the mall entrance. Jeff jogged with the umbrella, leaving Matt and Lily to get wet as they ran towards the door. They entered the mall and shook off. Gabby folded up the umbrella and poofed it away.
