Lily held Jeff's hand, bags in the other. "Alright Lily..where to now?"

"Back to the others?"

"Oh yeah. Them." Lily lead him over to Gabby and Matt, sitting on a bench.

"Should we all agree to split up, you and I go one way, they go their own way...and then we'll meet up? What do you guys think?"

"Splitting up would be better so we could get each others presents and stuff."

"Are we going to go in groups of two? Or each by ourselves?"

"Groups of two. In case you get to sore walkin or something..." Jeff said.

"Sounds good to me....Gabby, Matt...any objections?" Gabby looked at Matt, shaking her head.

"Nope. I do believe we're fine."

"so we're all going to split up?"

"Well, you're going with Jeff, and I'll go with Matt," Gabby announced. "And we'll meet up...at...dinner time?"

"I don't have a watch...what time will it be?"

"6pm? I'll mentally call you."

"Alright."

"You two have a mental link?" Matt asked.

"Well, yeah..."

"Scary thought...Jeff, they can talk to each other without us knowing at any time. That's scary..." Gabby shrugged.

"It’s useful." Lily nodded in agreement.

"I don't wanna know what you guys discuss..."

"Absolutely nothing love..and if we discussed anything important, I'd share it with you....you know that," Lily assured him.

"So you guys don't talk about me..or..anything?"

"Not at all. And if we did it wouldn't be anything bad."

"Lily, you do have some details to give me later though." Matt looked to Jeff.

"Gabby, you're such a prying mind."

"I am not! I have a right to know some things."

"Yeah but...geez, can't they have some secrets?"

"I'll tell you later Gabby," Lily mental linked with Gabby. Gabby nodded at Lily, and glared at Matt.

"I never said she had to tell me everything Matt."

"Yeah I know....Oh well..sorry for interfering."

"It’s okay...thou art forgiven." Jeff pointed down one of the halls.

"Shall we depart?"

"I think we shall." Matt grabbed Gabby's hand.

"Which way first?" Gabby looked around.

"Well, we never decided what to buy them." Lily and Jeff walked down one hallway, talking amongst themselves.

"Yeah well...what should we get them?" Matt asked.

"You know my suggestion."

"I know....something moral Gabby...something that has nothing to do with what happened the other day."

"Oh. What if they get us something thats...wait, how is that not moral? It goes along with my morals..."

"I meant their morals...not yours."

"I don't like their morals...well, we can get them scarves."

"Scarves???"

"Yes, Matt. A set of matching scarves. For the cold outside."

"That's....tacky?"

"It’s very moral," she defended.

"But very tacky."

"Then sweaters."

"Gabby.....stop being so....ick."

"Well, I've never been shopping for couple presents."

"Me neither, but sweaters and scarves don't seem....Jeff and Lily..."

"Then what does?"

"I'm thinking," he said.

"Why don't we get them a gift certificate for...some store."

"I wonder what they're thinking about getting us..."

"I bet it’s something immoral."

"I wouldn't doubt it."

"Then..why can't we get them somthing immoral?"

"Because....alright. If we get them something immoral...we gotta get them something normal too....because otherwise it won't be a very "decent" christmas." Gabby started laughing very hard.

"Matt dear...you're spending Christmas with me and you expect it to be decent?"

"well..at least whil there's daylight."

"I don't discriminate between day and night. Its aaaall the same to me."

"Alright....if you say so."

"OH!! Wait..I can't say it out loud...but I know what I'm getting you for Christmas."

"I’m scared." Gabby grinned evilly.

"Why?"

"Because....that grin. I don't trust it."

"No one does Matt."

"I can't even begin to fathom why."

"Maaaaybe because I'm evil?"

"I know what I'm getting you. I'll be back in a moment." He turned and head into a store, buying a few items and returning a moment later with a bag. She ran over to him, trying to peer into the bag.

"What did ya get me?"

"You can't see." Gabby pouted.

"C'mon..hey wait....seeing as I celebrate the Solstice today...I get one of those tonite."

"Alright...later you'll get one." He kissed her softly. "And don't pout...makes me feel bad." She smiled, taking his hand.

"You know the only reason I ever pout."

"Yeah I know."

"And you do the same thing too."

"I think I'm gonna get that for Lily." He pointed to a pair of velvet pants. "Think she'd like them?" He then pointed to a Tigger shirt with matching boxers. "Or that? Being that it's in a girls store, I can't get it for Jeff."

"Ohh, yes you can. Just don't tell him. Heh. Just get her both. One from me, one from you."

"Huh?"

"Get her the pants and the shirt and boxers, and I'll give her the pants, and you can give her the shirt and boxers. Then I can find a matching set for Jeff."

"Alright. Let's go." Matt tugged her in the direction of the store.

"Race ya," she said. Matt ran into the store. Gabby ran into the store behind him, hiding behind a clothing rack.

"Hey...where'd ya go?"

"Come find me," Gabby said, throwing her voice. Matt started to look around, searching for her. Gabby peeked out, trying to see him. He had his back to her. Gabby jumpped out behind him, grabbing his shoulders. "BOO!"

"AHH!" He pouted. "You scared me." Gabby smirked.

"I got ya."

"Meanie."

"Aww...my poor Matt." Gabby leaned forward, kissing him. Matt kissed back and smiled.

"It's okay..I'll survive." Gabby poked him.

"You better. I want my presents."

"Later Gabby dear...later. Go get the pants for Lily?" Gabby went over to the rack with the pants for Lily, looking through them.

"Matt? What colour?" Matt grabbed the pj set, but got matching pants instead of shorts and looked around for something for Jeff.

"Black...she likes black." Gabby grabbed the black ones, walking over to him.

"What ya lookin for now?"

"Something for my brother." Gabby nodded, looking around. "What should we get him?"

"Something that matches the pj's for Lily. Oohhh A headband with tigger ears on it, and a tail too."

"Maybe we should get that for her, put the pjs on her and tie a ribbon around her neck. Then stick her under the tree with a "for Jeff" tag on it." He laughed.

"Awwww Matt!! Thats so cute!"

"I'm glad I thought of it. Should we do it?"

"Yes!! Of course we should. That gives me some ideas for..." She cleared her throat. "Nevermind." Matt grabbed a pair of ears and a tail. He turned around and got a pair of "his" pjs like the one's for Lily.

"No Gabby...tell me"

"Well, seeing as you already thought of it...the same thing would work in conjuction with my present for you, cept...Umm....leeess...moral."

"I'll just keep my thoughts to myself on that one." He walked up to the counter. "Pants please." Gabby handed him the pants.

"You know, you can let some of those thoughts out in the open."

"Alright Gabby. Want my thoughts? Go for it." He payed for the items and placed the bag in his hand with the other one.

"I gotta get your present now."

"I'll go look for something for the two of them in that store over there, okay?" Matt kissed her cheek. "I'll be back in a few...have fun."

"Oh, I will." She ran into the adjacent store. Matt was busy searching for something. Gabby looked around, grabbing everything she needed. She payed and walked out, standing in front of the store waiting. Matt payed for his stuff and then met up with her. Gabby ran over to him, grabbing his arm. "What did ya get?"

"I got Jeff a Tigger stuffed thingy for you to give him....we can give that to Lily to hold onto."

"Wait, what if Lily doesn't wanna go along with this?"

"Then we can just stick the stuff in a bag and wrap them up."

"Good call. Well...I got your present." She smiled teasingly.

"And as a couple...I got them a blue fleece blanket and some candles. Sound good?"

"Ohhhh so they can have an indoor picnic thingie?" Matt hit his forehead.

"I swear Gabby, sometimes." Gabby whined.

"What? Picnic...food..no sex! I didn't say a thing about sex..you're mean."

"How am I mean?"

"Because...."

"They can do whatever they want with it...I only picked them up because I think they might have been useful in some way shape or form."

"And I suggesed indoor picnic, and you said "I swear Gabby, sometimes". what is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing..."

"It meant something."

"Nope. You only confused me...that's all." Gabby sighed.

"Fine. Where now?"

"I think we're done."

"Good."

"What time is it anyway?" Matt asked. Gabby looked at her watch.

"5:30." Matt nodded.

***

Lily leaned her head on Jeff’s shoulder while walking. "What are we going to get them? You haven't gotten them anything." Jeff put his arm around her waist.

"What should we get them?"

"I don't know...."

"You already got the candles for Gabby and the shirts for Matt. We just need to get them a couple present."

"I think we should get them something...that screams out Gabby and Matt." Lily saw something out of the corner of her eye. "Ooooh...I'll be right back hon."

"Oookay. I'll be here." Lily ran into the store and then back out.

"Pain....remind me not to run again today. But, I did get ya something for ya."

"Ohhh what??"

"I can't tell you...it's for Solstice."

"Okay. I won't have to wait too long. So, you were saying. Something that screams out Gabby and Matt."

"Yeah...something that screams out Gabby and Matt."

"Like...something..bondage-y? Or does that just scream out Gabby?"

"That just screams out Gabby."

"Hmm..what screams out Matt?"

"I don't know...he's your brother."

"Well..he likes....shiny things..."

"Shiny things? What is he, a ferret?" Jeff sighed.

"I don't know. This is hard."

"Yes it is. So...we got something for Gabby...and something for Matt...and I got stuff for you. We still need something for the both of them."

"Oh!! Stay right there." Lily stopped walking and sat down on a bench. Jeff ran into a store and grabbed some stuff, buying it, and then running back out again with a bag.

"What'd ya get?" Jeff grinned.

"Ohhh nothing."

"Yeah sure." Lily smiled. "I have an idea for what we can get Matt and Gabby."

"Really?" Lily pointed to the ticketmaster booth.

"We can get them tickets to a concert...."

"We can." Lily looked up at him.

"But what concert?"

"Pearl Jam? Thats kinda predictable."

"Exactly...but won't you get upset about not going?" Jeff smirked.

"I think I'm going..but Shhhh."

"But how?" Jeff put his finger to her lips.

"You know nothing. Shush."

"You're absolutely right. I'm so confused I have no idea what is going on."

"Good. You'll find out soon."

"Okay....so we'll go get tickets for them now?"

"But to what?"

"Our Lady Peace?" Lily suggested.

"Does Matt like them?"

"I don't know...you're his brother. Name some of his favorite bands."

"Well...I think all he ever listens to is Pearl Jam. Its kinda scary."

"Yes it is...."

"What about some sort of scary matching outfit?"

"That's...I dunno....scary. Hehe. Baggy jeans and two similar shirts?"

"No, scarier. Like..lots of vinyl."

"I can't picture Matt in vinal," Lily admitted.

"True...." Lily tried to, and then fell back against Jeff laughing. Jeff laughed at her. "Well, if it’s that funny...then nevermind."

"I just meant Matt in vinal....funny funny picture."

"I know, it is pretty funny. He'd never wear it."

"I know. So...baggy pants...tight velvet shirts...sounds very them."

"It does. But make them kinda different, ya know? Like, not velvet for her, just black."

"Along with...two tickets to Creed. Matt likes Creed. I think Gabby likes Creed too. Sure...that works."

"I don't think Gabby likes Creed."

"Green Day?"

"Probably. Being all punkish and such."

"I think Matt likes Green day."

"So do I," Jeff informed her. Lily stood up and walked over to the ticketmaster booth, ordering two Green Day tickets and then headed back over to Jeff.

"Good. Now..."

"Those?" Lily pointed to a pair of baggy pants in a store. Jeff nodded.

"Lets go."

"After you."

"Nuh-uh. After you, my dear." Lily grabbed his hand.

"We'll go together?" Jeff nodded, pulling her to the store. Lily found Gabby's size in a black mesh shirt. She searched for a velvet shirt for Matt. Jeff grabbed stuff for Matt and walked over to the counter. Lily joined him, puting Gabby's stuff on the counter. Jeff paid for the stuff, grabbing one bag, and giving the other to Lily. Lily held the bag in her hand with the other one.

"So how much time we got left?"

"I dunno." Lily thought a moment. "Gabby...what time is it?"

"Five to six. Dinner time," Gabby responded mentally.

"Poof my car to the barn? I'll poof the four of us there. I don't feel like driving."

"No prob. Meet ya there." Gabby poofed the car to the barn and waited to get poofed. Lily poofed the four to the barn.
