Lily woke up in the arms of Jeff, feeling comfy against his warmness despite the chill in the barn. Gabby was already awake, just walking in from outside, shaking off her snow covered clothes. Matt was putting logs on the now dead fire and was in the process of starting a new one. Jeff opened his eyes and hugged Lily tightly, smiling and kissing the back of her neck softly. "Morning Gabby, Matt, Jeffie." Gabby shivered.

"Freezing out there."

"Gee, you think?"

"I know." She poofed up some hot chocolate and sat down by the fire. Matt finished getting the fire up and walked over to join the happy bunch. "So how many more shopping days left?"

"Three....not counting today," Lily said.

"Four, counting today," he replied, sticking his tongue out at Lily.

"Why do you have to go shopping? Can't you poof up presents?"

"I suppose we could."

"No, Lily...we have to go shopping..." Gabby said.

"I know have to...I want to see the mall all decorated for Christmas."

"I just like shopping..."

"I've noticed," Matt replied.

"Jeffie, you don't mind shopping...do you?"

"Nope. Shopping is fun." Lily nodded and snuggled.

"So...whenever you guys want to go, I'll get myself up. Right now I'm comfy." Matt smirked.

"Well, I don't wanna go yet. I'm still freezing."

"So poof yourself wam again," Matt remarked with a grin. Gabby pouted, scooting closer to the fire.

"Well, thats no fun." Matt laughed.

"I guess I come up with ways of taking the fun out of everything, don't I?"

"I'm not sure about everything yet." She grinned. Matt looked sheepish and then sat next to the fire.

"I suppose you're right."

"They should get it over with," Jeff whispered.

"They should...she's used to it by now...and he is too," Lily whispered back to him.

"They're strange anyway."

"They are..." Gabby casted a glance back at Jeff and Lily, then over at Matt.

"Whispering is rude," Gabby announced loudly.

"Too bad," Lily snapped, quickly casting a silence spell over herself and Jeff. She stuck her tongue out at Gabby. Gabby glared at Lily, sticking her tongue out in turn.

"Meanie..." Lily poped the magic bubble.

"I am not. Jeffie...tell her I'm not mean."

"Gabby, she's not a meanie." Gabby turned her head.

"Matt, tell Jeff to tell Lily I'm not talking to her." Lily smiled satisfactory and snuggled with Jeff.

"See...I told you."

"Jeff....tell Lily that....wait a sec...both of you stop acting like children," Matt commanded.

"But Matt...its christmas. It brings out the child in all of us," she whined.

"No it's not....it's Solstice..not Christmas yet. And Jeff is a child all year round, so I don't think it counts for him." Lily threw a handful of hay at him

"Quite to the contrary....he is not," Lily defended. Jeff smiled smugly. Matt shruged.

"And why am I not allowed to act like a child?"

"Because you always act like a child anyway," Lily whipped, sticking her tongue out at her.

"I'm not the one sticking my tongue out!" Matt grinned.

"That's besides the point Lily"

"Ha...you see? I was right." Gabby looked over at Matt with confusion.

"What's the point then?"

"There is no point...that's the whole point," he said.

"But...but..that doesn't make sense..."

"We came to this conclusion yesterday hon...I never make sense...usually," Matt reminded her.

"And I'm always confused." Matt nodded in agreement. Gabby looked over at the fire, Growing warm. "Shopping soon?"

"I told you to tell me when you wanted to go...cause I'm all comfy."
"Well....I want to go."

"But I'm comfy," Lily whined.

"Well, we don't have to go, do we?" Jeff asked.

"Yes we do...otherwise Gabby is going to complain," Lily said.

"No I'm not. I can drag Matt around." Lily painfully slipped out of Jeff’s arms and crawled to her feet. Jeff stood up after her.

"You okay?"

"Yeah...I'll live." Jeff grinned.

"You better." Gabby brushed her hands on her knees, standing up.

"Sure you wanna come Lily?" Gabby asked.

"Yeah...I have to get some stuff for you guys," she said.

"Yeah, we gotta get something for you two...I have no earthy idea what."

"I could kill you....but I won't...not yet anyway," Lily whispered to Jeff. "And I gotta get something for my Jefferz," she said a little louder. Jeff smiled, taking her hand.

"And something for you..." Lily poofed out of the old pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt he gave her and into something more sutible to go out in.

"Alright...I think I'm ready now," Lily announced. Gabby poofed into something warm.

"Me too." Lily poofed Jeff into something decent.

"Thank you for not putting me in a dress," Jeff replied.

"But of course hon." Gabby poofed Matt into another all black outfit.

"We're all done." Lily leaned against Jeff, her baggy pants seemingly identical to his.
"Driving or poofing?" Lily asked.

"Hmm..Matt, feel like driving?" Gabby asked. Matt shrugged.

"It's up to you guys."

"We haven't driven anywhere for so long..."

"Let’s go then. Which car?"

"The...the van again."

"We can take Jeffies corvette....can't we Jefferz?"

"But it’s snowy out...the car'd get all snowie..." Jeff complained.

"It was just a suggestion. We can take my 'stang," Lily offered.

"Oohhh we can."

"But I'm driving then." Jeff nodded. "I don't care how much I hurt...nobody drives my mustang but me..." Gabby grinned at Matt.

"And we get the back right?" Lily grabbed her keys from by the door and slid it open, immediatley poofing her coat on.

"No...I'm gonna make Jeff sit in the back with you Gabby...yes you two get the back. Just don't make a mess...promise?" Gabby poofed a coat on her and then on Matt, starting out the door.

"How could we possibly make a mess?"

"I don't want to know." She poofed a coat on Jeff. "Come on."

"Well, I just don't understand how we could make a mess," Gabby muttered under her breath. Lily went out of the barn and slid into the front seat of her mustang. Jeff opened the door and sat down beside her.

"Has this ever been out?" he asked.

"Yeah...you don't trust me?"

"Of course I do. It just still has that new car smell," Jeff noted.

"That's because I don't drive it all the time." Gabby approached the car, almost blinded by its shine.

"Geeez....you've been holding out on us Lily. This is nicer than I thought."

"This is my baby....other than Jeffie." Gabby jumped in the back seat.

"Kinda like my dirtbike?" Lily put the key in the ignition and put her hand on the stickshift.

"Yeah....I got a bike, but not a dirtbike. Mine's like Jeff's, only blue and silver...not yellow and black."

"Oohhhh stuntbikers." Gabby looked around for Matt. He climbed in behind the passangerside seat.

"I guess you don't want the top down guys, rite?" Lily laughed.

"No..the top down would be evil, what with it being so cold out." Jeff grined evilly.

"But you're Canadian..you can take it." Lily hit Jeff playfully.

"Be nice. I don't think you, I or Mattie could take it." Gabby shook her head.

"I know I couldn't." Lily put Pearl Jam on the radio and put the car in reverse. She got out to the highway and started pushing the gas, reaching about 70.

"I love this car....heh." Gabby shivered.

"Even with the top up, its cold. Crank the heat." Lily kept her eye on the road and took her hand off the stick, being in 5th gear and turned up the heat. She placed her hand back on the stick. Gabby shook her head. "And a roller coaster made you sick."

"But this is different...the speed didn't make me sick..the loops did."

"You're just like Jeff little one, did you know that? You little speed demon."

"And they say opposites attract," Gabby announced. Lily grined and nodded to Matt's comparrison.

"They do. Just look at you and I."

"Everybody Comfy?" Lily asked.

"Well, we're not that different...are we?"

"To an extent we are."

"What's up Jeffie....you're awfully quiet," Lily asked.

"Cause no ones talkin to me." Lily poked him softly.

"So then join our conversation."

"I..uuh..wasn't paying attention anyway." Lily dropped her speed and downshifted to 4th when they reached the exit for town.

"Why not?"

"Cause I was listenin to the music and looking outside. But I'm gonna be Mr. talkie from now on. So what were we talkin' about?"
"How similar you and I are, and trying to figure out if Matt and Gabby are similar."

"They're not similar at all. Thats why they're so scary together," Jeff replied. Lily turned into the mall parking lot and pulled into the closest space.

"We're here."

"Well, we gotta have somethin in common though....Oh well. Look. Mall. Rejoice."

"Yay," piped Lily sarcastically. She put the keys in her pocket and slipped out of the car, lifting the seat forward so everyone could get out. Gabby climbed out of the car after Jeff. Matt climbed out. Lily closed the door and clicked the alarm button. Jeff walked over to Lily, holding out his arm. Lily took it. Matt grabbed Gabby's hand.

"Ready everyone?" Matt asked. Lily nodded. Gabby and Jeff nodded. Matt started over towards the mall. Gabby cleared her throat.

"Do we really have nothing in common?"

"No...we do," Matt assured her. She raised her eyebrows.

"Continue."

"Well....we both like the same music."

"And when you make up your minds about something, come hell or high water you'll get it done," Lily added.

"And..umm..you both...live..in the barn!" Jeff cried out.

"You really are good at pointing out the obvious," Matt observed. Matt rolled his eyes.

"Alright then....where to first?" Lily asked. Lily looked around the mall which was decorated.

"Well, what do you and Jeff want for Christmas?"

"I don't know....ask him."

"Hair dye!! I want hair dye."
"Gee...I wonder why," Lily muttered. Jeff grined evilly.

"Only so I can dye my hair, of course." Lily nodded with a smile.

"Yeah I'm sure."

"Seriously...what do you guys want. Gabby suggested a flying horse with a rainbow mane and tail..." Matt began. Gabby looked from Lily to Jeff, confused.

"Well, what the hell else can he do with hair dye?"

"Don't ask...please don't ask." Gabby shook her head.

"When you put it that way, I really don't wanna know."

"You're right. What do you guys want?" Gabby thought, then shrugged.

"I dunno. Ask Matt."

"Matt?" He shrugged as well.

"I was actually leaving it up to Gabby." Gabby punched him lightly in the shoulder.

"Well we're never gonna get anything done that way."

"Yeah I know." Lily walked over to window and looked in. Jeff came up behind her.

"What ya lookin at?"

"Come with me a sec Jeff," she said, grabbing his hand.

"Whatever you want." She walked in and grabbed two Pearl Jam shirts.

"For Matt?" she asked. Jeff nodded.

"Perfect." She found Matt's size and then looked around for something for Gabby.

"What do you think we should get her? I figured we'd get something for each of them...and then something for both of them...."

"Well...what does she like?"

"I don't really know. She likes Rasputina....and OLP...and Pearl Jam."

"What about non music stuff? Candles? Something hippie-ish like that?"

"And...that."

"Just get her candles or something witchy like that." Lily pointed to a candle shaped like a wizard playing the cello.

"She likes cellos." Lily walked over and grabed the candle, walking up to the counter and paying for the items.

"Good work Lily."

"Now I have to think about what to get you...other than hair dye, and what we should get them as a couple. Any ideas?"

"Something....evil."

"For who? You or them?" Lily asked.

"Them! We have to get them something evilly suggestive. Cause they've been unnaturally chaste so far."

"We could get them...umm...a box of bondage tape. I guess maybe. I saw that in Spencers one day a looooong time ago." Jeff nodded.

"That would work. I bet they'd loooove that."

"And they'd sooooo kill us," Lily said, staring out of the door. Jeff shook his head, following her.

"They wouldn't kill us..."

"Yes they would."

"Come on...you know Gabby's twisted little habits."

"Yeah...but what are Matt's?" Lily asked.
"Don't ask me.."

"You would know..." Lily grinned evilly. Jeff looked hurt.

"What are you implying?"

"I'm just kidding hon." She kissed him. "You know that I am." Jeff grabbed her hand.

"I know, I know."
