"The Ferris Wheel?" he suggested.
"That’s what I was thinking." Matt lead off towards the Ferris Wheel, standing on the line. "I always loved these things," she informed him.
"Me too." Gabby sighed.
"Kinda like flying when you get up to the top. I could stay there forever." Matt climbed into the open car.
"Come on." Gabby climbed in after him.
"It’s been such a long time since I've been on one."
"Well then...this should be a reminiscing thing then...yes?"
"I guess. I think the last time was...in New York. That was years ago."
"I see." She rested her head on his shoulder.
"Gee, don't sound so enthused." Matt sighed.
"All right then...tell me about your trip."
"Well now its just forced. Its all right." Matt sighed.
"I can't win, can I?"
"Yeah, you can. I'm just being moody."
"So I've noticed. And why is that?"
"I think...because it’s what everyone expects of me anyway," Gabby said.
"I don't expect that...not from you anyway."
" Well...other people did, I guess. Its hard to break outta something like that. So I'm sorry if I get bitchy. I probably don't mean it. Especially if...if its towards you."
"This is very strange...did you know that? Not even a week ago you hated me...why the sudden change of heart?"
"I really don't know...I don't think I ever really took the time to see you for you. And then I did..."
"You don't have to explain it...don't worry."
"What about you? I really thought you didn't like me cause I was mean all the time..."
"It takes a lot for me to not like someone...I always liked you, I never stopped. I just masked it pretty well."
"Always? But...well, I guess I sure as hell scared you off."
"Yeah kinda...but I'm not one for dwelling on the past."
"That’s definitely a good thing...I'm sure if you were, we wouldn't exactly be sitting here together, would we?"
"No...definitely not," he said, playing with her hair.
"I'm glad we're here."
"Me too." Gabby pointed down.
"I see Lily and Jeffie..."
"Me too. You know what else I see?"
"What else do you see?"
"A pretty little Canadian girl....do you know who she is?" Gabby smirked.
"Nope."
"Yes you do...look harder."
"Well, seeing as you're looking right at me..."
"See! I told you that you knew her."
"You definitely flatter me too much."
"No I don't."
"Do too." She stuck her tongue out at him.
"It's my job."
"Well, then you get a promotion," she decided. Matt grinned evilly.
"To what?" Gabb slapped his arm.
"Behave," she commanded. Matt smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry...I’ll drag my mind out of the gutter for you, okay?"
"Good. Even though mine lives there almost all day."
"Okay." The ride stopped and Matt climbed out, holding his arm out for her. Gabby took his arm, and stepped out after him.
"Thank you sir."
"Welcome milady." Matt headed over towards Jeff and Lily. Once there, the two sat down across from them. Gabby cleared her throat. Jeff looked up at Gabby, having been looking at the floor the whole time.
"What's up?"
"Nuthin. Just sayin hi."
"Oh. Hi."
"How's Lily doing?"
"I'm fine...." she said.
"But no more roller coasters, right?"
"Where we going next?" Lily asked.
"Hmm...what else is there?"
"You guys go on, I'll watch," Lily said.
"The merry-go-round, the tunnel thingy, the swingy things...and more roller coasters," Jeff replied. Gabby smirked.
"Did we interrupt something then?"
"Not at all...I got my mind out of the gutter a bit ago, actually."
"Whoa...really? Cause I think Matt's just took up residence there," Gabby announced.
"I can wait till we get home....I'm not that bad."
"Huh? What'd I miss?" Matt asked. Gabby nudged him in the side.
"The evilness on your face after the promotion?"
"Oh," he said with a smile.
"All right, all right. Stop thinkin bout it now. Where to?"
"After you." Jeff stood up and headed over to the water-gun game.
"Come on Matt...I'll beat you."
"Yeah, fight for us, you manly men," Gabby said with a smile. Matt jogged off after Jeff and sat next to him, trying to beat him.
"Well then, an interesting turn of events, you and Matt," Lily noted.
"So whoever wins gets...what? Heh...yeah...I know." Jeff bounced over.
"Look! I won a Tigger!"
"He beat me....three times," Matt frowned.
"Awww...my poor Mattie."
"One more time Matt?" Jeff asked.
"Yeah sure...I'll be back," Matt called, heading off with Jeff.
"See Lily...I surprised you, didn't I? With me and Matt."
"Yes...I must admit it...you did. What happened? Finally realized he was a sweetie?"
"Something like that," Gabby smiled.
"Heh," Lily half laughed, looking at the Tigger Jeff stuffed in her hands.
"Jeffie's a sweetie too...heh. See? He actually wins things for you."
"Yeah....hehe." Matt and Jeff came walking over. Jeff slipped next to Lily and whispered something to her.
"Who won this time?" Gabby asked. Matt handed her an Eeyore.
"I did."
"Awww!!" Gabby exclaimed, jumping up and hugging him. He hugged her back. Jeff and Lily smiled and then leaned back against the bench. "You so rule," she whispered to Matt.
"Now you're flattering me," Matt whispered back.
"It’s my job..."
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"Whatever you want it to."
"Oh. That could mean a lot of things."
"Where are we going? What are we doing?" Jeff asked.
"It could," Gabby whispered into Matt’s ear with a smile. "Jeff....we can go on the Merry Go Round I guess."
"Bumper Cars?" Lily asked.
"Ooohhh, so I can kick Matt's ass?"
"Hey!" Matt pouted. "Meanie."
"Yeah Gabby, so you can show all of us how badly you drive," Lily laughed.
"That reminds me...I want to go go-carting....you think they have that here?" Jeff asked, looking around.
"Hey! I'm a good driver. And Matt, I was joking. And I don't think I wanna see Jeff in a go-kart."
"Hey...I don't drive my ‘vette the way I drive go-carts, okay?"
"Suure. You're insane either way," Gabby said.
"Hey!" Jeff cried.
"Well, you are...In a good way. That’s why we all love ya," Gabby replied.
"I think those two girls over there are trying to not be obvious while checking out our guys....what should we do?" Lily asked Gabby mentally.
"We should hang all over the guys, of course," she responded mentally. "Oh Maaaaatt....c'mere." Lily got up and sat in Jeff’s lap. Matt wandered over to Gabby. "Sit," she commanded.
"Yes ma’am," he said with a smile, sitting down.
