"Poof up some wet-suits and two boards. Let's go!"

"I ran right into that one," Gabby mumbled.

"Hey...you set yourself up. Come on Gabbs....it'll be FUN!"

"I know, I know...but I've never done this before."

"No better time to learn then now. Wet suits, please." Gabby poofed up two wet suits and two boards. Matt cracked his neck, grabbing your wrist and pulling you down to the shore. Gabby stoppd at the edge of the water.

"Alright, can I get a little dry land lesson first? Before I go and kill myself?" Matt dropped his board in the sand and put his right foot foreward.

"You a righty or a lefty? Wait....you skateboard..right?" Gabby nodded. "Good. Stand on the board like you would a skateboard. Gabby stood on the board, right foot forward.

"Now what?"

"Crouch down a little...like this," Matt said, demonstarting. Gabby followed his example. "You steer it just like you steer a skateboard."

"Oh! I can do that."

"Only thing is...to ride a wave, you have to paddle out before it...otherwise you're gonna get wrecked. You have to be standing on the board, riding it before it breaks..." Matt tousled her hair. "Congrats. You just graduated Surfing 101...let's go!" Gabby stuck her tongue out.

"I'm still gonna kill myself." Matt grabbed his board and tied his ankle to the bungee cord. He lie on his board and paddled out into the water.

"Come on! There's a good one comming." Gabby followed him, paddling out. "Kneel on the board now Gabby, facing towards the shore. Ready? Start padling towards the shore." Matt started to paddle. Gabby kneled and started paddling.

"I think I'm ready..."

"Stand up...now!" Matt screamed. Matt stood on the board, getting on the wave as it began to break. Gabby stood up at the exact same time he did. "Now Steer!" Gabby steered. "You're doing it Gabby! You're surfing!"

"I am so surfing!"

"Yes...yes you are." Matt surfed to the shore and stepped off the board. Gabby followed him to shore. "Now...correct me if I am wrong. You didn't think you could surf...and that you'd kill yourself...yet you were just surfing perfectly. Surprised?" he asked with a grin. Gabby smiled.

"Shut up! You did that on purpose."

"I got you to smile! Haha! Not only are you surpised, but you smiled, and are genuinely happy," Matt said, proud.

"You're evil, you know that?" Matt smlied evily.

"Yes...as a matter of fact, I did. Go ahead Gabby...say it...I know you want to."

"Say what?"

"Matt, you were right. You know you want to say it."

"No way. I'm not saying that," Gabby said.

"You know it's the truth though. Ah, forget it...it's not worth it. Let's go try that again, shall we?"

"Wait a sec...what about Lily and Jeff?" Gabby asked.

Matt looked out at the jetty. "She's still there."

"Alone, eh?"

"Yeah, apparently so."

"Damn," Gabby said under her breath.

"You want to talk to her or Jeff?"

"I dunno...should I?"

"Why do you think I asked you? Should we impose?"

"That’s what I'm thinking...I don't know if we should or not..." Gabby wondered. Matt shrugged.

"Me neither."

"This is kinda out of the ordinary for them."

"Yeah....musta been something serious."

"I know...well....to surf, or not to surf?"

"It's up to you." Gabby rolled her eyes.

"You just gotta leave it up to me, eh?" Gabby asked.

"As per usual."

"But I don't ever know what to do! Everyone always asks me, and I never know."

"Don't it suck?"

"Yes, and not in a good way either," Gabby said.

"Eh...I'm not going to ask. One more wave, then we’ll check out what's wrong...sound good?"

"Yup. Works for me." Matt grabbed his board and paddles out. Gabby followed beside him. Matt kneeled and waited for a good wave. Matt saw a good one and waited for it. Matt stood up, catching it perfectly. Gabby stood up right after him. Matt rode it into shore with Gabby following right behind him. Matt stuck the board in the sand and trecked over to Jeff, sitting next to him.

"What's wrong bro?" Gabby dropped her board and walked to the jetty to talk to Lily.

"Nothing....I just said something and she got all huffy-puffy and we were back here....she there and I here." Matt and Jeff conversed.

***

Gabby jumped from rock to rock and sat beside Lily. "Hey, Lily? What’s up with you and Jeffie?"

"He was making fun of me."

"He was just joking though, right?"

"He wanted to know what me and Matt were talking about the other night. Then said that I was falling for Matt, and that I love Matt more than him. But I don't! I love him, and I thought he knew that," Lily said.

"How often do you tell him that?" Gabby asked.

"All because I wouldn't tell him what me and Matt were talking about. I tell him that all the time...every morning, every night, everytime I kiss him and visa verca....all the time he hears it from me."

"So...who stopped talking to who first?"

"I stopped talking to him first."

"See, you shouldn't do that. You probably could have worked it out."

"But he told me I was being unfair and mean because I wouldn’t tell him my conversation! If I wanted him to know, I would have told him the first place."

"Did you tell him why you didn't tell him in the first place? Because I'm sure there’s a good reason."

"He said that I didn't love him, and that I was just lying to save Matt, and that he was mad at me for not telling him. I tried to...he didn't believe me."

"Oh lord...so he's doing the ignorant male thing?" Lily nodded. "I hate when they do that."

"Me too...makes me cry. But none of that was as bad as what he had told me last, which made me run off."

"There was more? Do I really want to know what he said?"

"He told me he didn't love me anymore, because I was lying and being mean." Gabby shook her head.

"Damn him...you know he didn't mean that..."

"It sounded like he did...I ran off before he could say anything else..."

"Lily, he didn't mean it...no one stops loving someone because they're mean or something trivial like that. There are always bigger reasons."

"Then is there a bigger reason that I don't know? Or did he just say it out or anger..."

"From what you said, it’s just anger. And if he didn't love you anymore, he wouldn't be over there sulking."

"So should I go over there?" Lily looked over at him and Matt. "He’s so cute when he sulks..." Lily smiled.

"You MUST go over there."

"Alright, alright. Tide is comming in...we better poof, it's too slippery to tempt rock hopping."

"Alrighties," Gabby said, poofing back. Lily stood up and hugged herself, looking out at the water a moment longer and then poofing to the shore. "And don't worry, because its all gonna be fine with you two," Gabby said via mind link.

"Thanks," LIly said, returning the link.

"It was nothing."
