Copenhagen Denmark July 13 and 14 1977

ANARCHY IN DENMARK FLAG The SEX PISTOLS started their Scandinavian tour by flying from London at 10.40 to Copenhagen, Denmark. Well, not Sid, 'cause he had forgotten his passport, had to go back to his flat to get it and take another fligth. The Daily Mirror reported that the band throw chairs around at Heathrow and threatened photogaraphers.
The band played two shows in Copenhagen. Both at DADDY'S DANCE HALL.

Before the first gig they went to Copenhagen's famous amusement park TIVOLI, where they first wouldn't be let in 'cause of the beer bottles they were carrying.
While in Copenhagen they stayed at the Hotel Plaza. A fellow englishman complained to the management and told them to ask the band to leave. His reasons were their 'foul language on TV'. Steve apperantly tried to get hold of the guy but he had ran away. None of the two gigs were sold out. On the first night John's vocals couldn't be heard over the rest of the band and he almost lost his voice screaming. They re-arranged the equipment for the second night, but it wasn't much better. Most of the audience were sitting down at tables. No fans spoke to the band before the gigs and Sid told SOUNDS absolutely everything in Copenhagen made him sick. The band did several interviews in Copenhagen.
After Denmark they went to Halmstad, Sweden, where they changed equipment again.

Malcolm McLaren was not with the band on the Scandinavian tour. He was in Los Angeles discussing the film project with Russ Meyer.

**UPDATE**: I have now an upgraded recording of the longer of the two gigs and as Steve says 'see you tomorrow' before leaving the stage it is obviously from the first night. Apologies for any confusion causeed by my previous statements regarding these gigs. Why the two tabloid reviews of the first night (published on the morning of the 14th), both mentions the song 'EMI', which is not on the tape, I don't know. The tape sounds complete so I don't think EMI was played this night? It's definetly recorded in Copenhagen 'cause the tape starts with the Daddy's Dance Hall DJ introducing the band. Any additional info greatly appreciated.
