FEDERAL FAIR WAGES
FOR CANADIAN ELECTRICIANS
![]()
UPDATED April 05, 2004
"The Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act provides that every contract with the Federal Government of Canada for the construction, remodeling, repair or demolition of any work must contain conditions covering the payment of fair wages, hours of labour, and other working conditions to ensure that the expenditure of public funds does not lead to the exploitation of labour. Enforcement of this Act will be enforced by Government of Canada contracting authorities.
All contractors and subcontractors are required under the Act to post the fair wage schedules in visible areas on project sites."

This 1935 Act was amended recently with the amendments and new schedules coming into force in September, 1999. I have put together all the fair wages for electricians across Canada except Quebec just hit the links below.
