Only in Tunkhannock...
We have been to the edge...
We have also come back. Alive? Yes. Unharmed? I suppose. Physically, the effects of sleep loss commonly connected with robotics competitions have finally worn off. Mentally, we're still sane. Relatively speaking, of course.

This is the story of our drive to Tunkhannock. The competition was to begin early on Saturday morning, and, as it's a three hour drive from here to Tunkhannock, we decided that it made some small amount of sense to drive up the night before. So we did.
Stamp, Katiemurphy, and I piled into the car, and my mom drove. We drove too, but not the car. We drove her insane. Sorry mom.
Anyway, there we were on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, with a good three hours ahead of us. Oh joy. At least we didn't have to worry about Patty. She was safely packed in the back of our teacher's truck, with a tarp over her... a tarp... with... holes in it... ARGH!!! (For those of you who can't take the suspense, and because I probably won't follow up on this otherwise, Patty was perfectly fine.)
Now, where was I? Ah, yes. The Turnpike. It was rather uneventful. I just wanted to tell you that the Northeast Extension ends. Didn't I already tell you that? Yeah. It ends around Scranton, and then we took Route 6 (I think) to Tunkhannock. Route 6 actually goes straight through Tunkhannock, so we didn't have to much trouble. That was good, because we had been in a car for three hours at that point.
Now, I'm going to regress to the point at which we saw Scranton. What a sight for sore eyes. After minutes and minutes (adding up to about an hour or so) of seeing nothing spectacular, we could discern many bright lights off to the right. And what's more, they were strangely reminiscent of home...
A little further ahead, slightly less to the right, we could also see a cluster of three lights. Not four, not two, but three. We actually counted. What could it be? Well, it has to be Tunkhannock, we facetiously decided. Little did we know...

To this day, we're really not sure if that actually was Tunkhannock (although we enjoy telling people that it was). After all, we had no clue where we were going. We just wanted to get there. Eventually, we did. At least, we think we did. It could have all been an elaborate conspiracy... oh well. I suppose we're better off not knowing.
