Responsible for maintaining content in the late afternoons and evenings for site. Pioneered a relationship with the photo staff and the website, in terms of presenting their work online. Also fostered a relationship with reporters and photographers in an outlying bureau, to ensure their stories got attention by the website. Packages special projects. Writes breaking news, as needed. Writes, produces and voices a nightly radio report for a partner NPR affiliate as well as a local AM news station partner. Also works with local TV news partner to post video pieces on the site.

Reporter, The Sun-Sentinel, Ft. Lauderdale, FL April 1992-July 1999 Covered breaking news, enterprise and municipal government, while focusing on victims' rights and criminal justice issues. Chronicled the human toll following Hurricane Andrew and the ValuJet crash. Worked in Miami as a utility player in a three-person bureau. Frequent contributor to the Lifestyle section and Sunshine magazine.

Reporter, The Stuart News, Stuart, FL July 1989-April 1992 Developed crime and court coverage in one of Florida's fastest-growing areas. Examined growth and development issues as a municipal reporter. Provided depth and enterprise stories about crime.

Reporter/Editor, Press Community Newspapers, Cincinnati, Ohio August 1983-July 1989 Started out as a copy editor and page designer for a large, suburban weekly chain. Became a reporter who covered municipal government, crime and features. Shot photos and wrote a weekly column.
