*~My Journal~*

I can't believe it!!! It's August already and school is almost here! I have had absolutely no time to rest. I think I need like at least three more weeks to rest up! When school starts again I'll be taking three AP's and hardly any time to update this site!

I really have to start preparing for college. I have no idea which one I'm going to, but right now my mail is overflowing with letters from every college from Yale and Harvard to Alaska Pacific and some college in Canada. (I'm from NY, and I'm probably straying not too far from here) I have to read books to prepare for the SAT's and my AP classes and finish some of my Intel Project (a social science academic contest) all by the end of the summer and still try and have fun. Damnit..y can't I be stupid!
After regaining consciousness from the release of the 4th NSync album, I must now prepare to see them at the Today Show. This includes much sleep and a kickass sign. And I don't care I'm dragging one of my friends along whether they like it or not! Oh yeah, I suppose a stool could be useful too. It serves two purposes: a place to relax, and a weapon to knock out any 8 year olds or NSync girlfriends I see...(j/k...uh, maybe :oP)
I HAVE to find a job!! I NEED a job. Personally, I luv money and it must be in my hands! Where can I find a job people?!?! I need some ideas! (and becoming a "dancer" isn't one of them).
I'm sooo bored. I guess that's y I've been updating this site so much! ;o) Besides hagin' w/ friends and family and doing a bit o' site seeing, I still need more things to do! Ahhh..I guess I'll go back to the tele and watch some Fear Factor!

~*D.I.Y. Tips and Tricks*~

Too bored? Have an eye for fashion? Don't know what else to do? Well this is the spot 4 u! Here are some ideas that I came up with and that you can play around with to.

Fashion D.I.Y.:

*Make a cool cuff for your wrist out of old jeans, fabric headbands, or leftover fabric scrap. Decorate with safety pins, sequins, or whatever your heart desires!
*Buy sequins or glittery confetti to decorate old tops or jeans to create a new look
*Buy iron-on patches, or cut some out yourself and stick them on pants and tops.
*Cut old jeans and get cool new capris or shorts.
*Snip off jean back pockets and sew together to get a new handbag. Use jean buttons or zippers for the closure.
*Make a long sleeve top a tank top, short sleeve or 3/4 sleeve top.
*Buy some beads and bead your own jewelry...it's easy. Get a library book on crafts.
*Go to vintage or bargain basements and hunt for clothing gems and spice them up with ur own styles.
*Decorate your bookbag with glitter glue, patches, stickers or your favorite pins.
*Make a beaded headband with some elastic.
*Go to a craft store and pick up a yard of some thick chain and make a belly or belt chain.
*Decorate a frame for a friend.
*Decorate an old hat.
*Trade clothing with a friend of your size for a day.
*Go to a good hangout or cool city while traveling and spot new trends.
*Sell some of ur great creations.
*Make a friendship bracelet or ring for a friend.

Beauty D.I.Y.:

*Make your own lipstick or lipgloss by mixing your own colors, or tinting Vaseline.
*Get soft, picture perfect, Angelina Jolie lips by gently brushing them with a soft toothbrush or washcloth and Vaseline.
*Make your hair part on a different side of your head.
*Butter or margarine makes a cool (and fatty and tasty) lipgloss/ lip moisturizer.
*Try using avocado or mayonaise as a conditioner (I hear it works great).
*Try to let your hair dry naturally and not get blow dryer dryout.
*Make a new perfume out of a mix of essential oils and rubbing alcohol.
*Try highlighting your hair with lemon juice and the sun (works best with light-colored hair)
*Wash residue out of hair by adding a bit of baking soda to your shampoo
*Try giving yourself an egg white mask for your fase, and rinse.
*Mix nail polish colors together, or make a design on your nails..
