Fidel
José Antequera
Fidel
José Antequera,
was born on October 28, 1956 in Montería, Cordoba, Colombia,
on a trip to (San Sebastian, Cordoba) he discovered the primitive
art style of The famous Colombian Artist Marcial Alegria,
that had a profound impact on him in the way his paintings
seemed to reveal the dreams of children!
The painter's technique is quite different in the category
of primitive
art stylist because he keeps in mind all the minute details
of reality: light fire pits, doors with the images of saints
they
are his style and trademark that compliment all his paintings.
His
universe is the parks and fairs, the skies filled with birds,
the busy streets flowing with men and women going to work
or to fiestas, the villages with their initial lines, the
dome of the churches, the streams, the forest on the horizon,
in sum, a banquet of colors that he reveals in a childs
view of Gods wonderful creation. There is in him, the same
as in almost all the primitive style artist, a mythical and
paradisiacal feeling of a world that has played before him
to see, to feel and to live!
