The children Helping Children team are prepared to travel to any part of the country to explain the needs of destitute children in India and Egypt. We hope that as a result of these talks the group will be moved to sponsor one of the causes that we promote.

Schools

As an organization that wishes to encourage a greater understanding of the needs of the destitute in the Third World amongst the youth of our country, we are particularly keen to give talks to school children of all ages, geared to their level of understanding and academic needs.

The leader of our team is a qualified teacher with in-depth experience in both Junior and Senior education. Illustrated talks can be tailor made to suit projects though with the primary objective of engendering an empathy and compassion amongst the children and encouraging them to take positive action to help those in need.

One of the prime objectives of CHC is to encourage and indeed foster the development of education in India. Indeed the Cricket Club of our agent, Suresh Kumar is positively geared to this aim.

It is essential that our own children realize the value of the education they receive here in the UK and in consequence the desperate need that there is to extend this facility to their brothers and sisters in India.

Churches.

In India and Egypt, the Church plays a very active role in helping the destitute and one of our aims is to encourage links between churches in the UK and churches trying to help the destitute in their own country. Talks would be angled to engender these direct links and a long-term relationship established which could ultimately lead to a team of volunteers from the UK church visiting the charity they are helping either in India or Egypt.

Clubs and organizations

It is essential that as many people as possible know about the plight of the destitute in India and Egypt and any organization from scout and guide groups to the Women’s Institute and Rotary Clubs may like to have a talk about the work of CHC.

Again the ultimate objective of these talks is for the group requesting it to become involved.

Think what an experience it would be for a group of Venture Scouts or Sixth Formers to actually visit the sites they hear about. All this is possible with CHC.

Depending on the distance we have to travel and the nature of the group we do charge a fee towards our expenses. However, our aim is to make as many people as possible aware of the situation and the fee relates not only to the distance we have to travel but also to the nature of the group.

Consequently a local school or church would be asked for a donation but if we had to travel some distance to a society meeting, would negotiate a fee.
