Almost Eden

I am naked and unashamed before you.
Shame is the hiss of the public serpent.
Your green eyes pin him to the wall.

Does the hollow of a tree beg honey?
You are insensible of your treasure.
Shaggy and strong, I come for you.

I melted before you could break me.
Yours are the lips of a glass blower.
Make me transparent as water.
