In loving memory of our
precious son Thomas,
who is so deeply
missed.

He blessed our family
from his birth on the 13th of August, 1991
to his death on the 24th of May, 2000,
at the age of eight years old.
Thomas will always be
dearly loved.





If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane,
I’d build a path to Heaven,
to bring you home again.

IF TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME

If tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
But if tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand.
He said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do.
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,

And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?

So if tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart.
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

My Brother Thomas

Now that you have gone, brother, I want you to know,
That you will be with me wherever I go,
While riding my bike or playing football,
All through the day and when night starts to fall.

I will never forget all the love we once shared,
And Thomas remember I always did care,
You were a brother in a million now a star so bright,
But to be without you just doesn’t seem right,

But I must not be selfish you will suffer no more,
And I know God will love you like I did before,
So sleep on my brother you’re at peace after pain,
And one day little brother we will play once again.

There are no words that can even begin to tell you,
How much we hold you and your smile within our hearts,
Each and every day
We are so proud of you, and so thankful
For the happy years that you gave us.
8 wonderful years.

  If we were given a chance to be anything we wanted
There’s nothing we would rather be,
Than to be your parents.

  Though it was only to be for such a short time
There is no one we would rather have as our son,
Than you Thomas.

  One year has past and the pain remains
But the happy memories of you help us to go on.
We miss you so.

In Memory Of A lost Loved One

Tonight our hearts are aching
For a loved one has been called away
A beautiful heart stopped beating
Although we cried and prayed

  We can not feel his struggle
And we can not feel his pain
But we give him something real
We loved him just the same

  We asked God not to take him
But it was not meant to be
For God whispered Thomas name
And he longed to be free

  Go peacefully now sweet Thomas
Your Journey here is through
Walk gently towards the light
Gods speed, We will all miss you

Thomas And The Dolphin

And the Dolphin came to the little boy as he slept. Thomas recognized him and smiled.

The Dolphin spoke softly. “Come with me little one and I will take you to a place where all the children laugh and play and are happy.”

“But what about my family and friends here?” asked the boy “Won’t they miss me?”

“At first there will be grief, but time will heal their wounds and replace them with loving memories,

you have done more in this world than many people will achieve in their whole lifetimes.

You have given the gifts of love and courage to your parents and enthusiasm and commitment
to the people who did all they could to help you.

You have done more than enough little one, it is time to go home.”

And the Dolphin swan close to Thomas and he climbed upon the Dolphin’s back.
They swam faster and faster and higher and higher until they reached the place the Dolphin had spoken of.

Thomas climbed down and ran off to play with the other children who laughed and played in the sun filled garden.
Thomas felt happy and at peace with his new friends.
