Welcome to the Siegeworks Lightning Hockey Home Page. The Lightning is an amateur hockey team composed of intermediate to advanced level players. At the end of our short 2002 summer session, there were rumors among the team that some of our players were looking to exercise the fact that they were "free agents", so they would have better chances at reaching their quest for the cup. Instead of risking the demise of the team, a plan was formulated to aquire some new talent for the team. After extensive scouting for players the new division D Lightning team was born. This team was made up of a little less than half of the existing E team, some of our top ranked alternates, friends from Eastridge, as well as a few veterans that were picked up on waivers. The talent of this new team was soon realized by the press and calls were flooding the front office with offers of sponsorship. After intense bidding from a number of top name organizations, SiegeWorks purchased the Lightning for a measly 2 million dollars. SiegeWorks Lightning has just begun their winter 2002/03 session. If your up for some intense, bone crushing, in your face hockey, then come to the Logitech Ice Center in San Jose, California.

For the first half of the season in the Division D, the Lightning went undefeated with a record of 10-0-1. For this reason the team was elevated to Division CC for the remainder of the session, where they finished in 2nd.

Starting in the summer session for 2003, we find ourselves bumped up yet again to Division C. This time there were only minor alterations to the roster, adding just 4 new players. Unfortunately the post season came to an abrupt halt when we were ousted from the playoff by the Black Mambas.

As we are set to start the long 2003/2004 Winter session, we remain in Division C. With the loss of some talented free agents, we hit the streets looking for new blood aquiring two new players and bringing up two from the minors. (Otherwise known as alternates).
