Case 4: Ghost on the Stairs

Real or fake?

We have three pictures to look at this time. These were taken in Johnstown, Pa, and are fairly old.

They seem to be looking at each other

Close-up

Do you see the feet?

Now, to let you know what's up there...it was fake. That was admitted when the photo was submitted, this piece was just an excellent art project.

The woman, named Janet, who submitted it to the original site had this to say a little while after she submitted it to the site: "Sorry, but it was a photo I did for a class. I used a 35mm camera on a tripod, a very slow shutter speed as my niece walked down the stairs in a white nightgown. This picture is about 10 years old."

In my opinion, that was one hell of a fake job, but this is what you guys had to say:

I think this is a fake photo.

To begin with the person on the steps sitting is looking directly at the image above her.

Second, the feet look to me like those belonging to a child. Certainly not the feet of a full grown person. As the size of the image wants to project.

I believe that is a long exposer. The shadows don't seem to fit a quick shot type of picture. It is well done, but fake non the less.

For one I dont know if I say its real or not, but the feet on the bottom of the stairs seem to look like the woman's. Also, it seems like the ghost (as we call it) ran down the stairs to be in the picture or something. If you notice, the stairs above also have the same smokey look. Gotta go later hope we find out if it was real or not!!

applepielomode says:

it has to be fake if i saw a ghost i wouldn't just sit there i would run but on the other hand i would try to find out about the ghost its backround how it became it.then i would be very scared and try to talk to it.but then again it just might be real.

Looks like this one stumped some of you! Good to see! But, as I said, this one was admittedly a fake. Kudos to Janet for doing such a good job with it!

Keep an eye open for Case 5!
