New PS2 Title!

On the PS2 RPG front, THQ has recently announced that they are bringing Volition's RPG, Summoner, to the PS2.

An official from THQ recently that not only is Summoner's developing coming along at a fast pace, but it will make the launch of the PS2 when it comes stateside. Volition, the creators of such titles like Descent and Freespace, have beening working on Summoner for over 6 months. The game originally made its first showing at THQ's Las Vegas event in October. Back then, it was only rumored to be making an appearance on the PS2.

THQ was unable to point out all the graphical differences between the PS2 and PC versions but we do know that they will be spruced up a little bit for the PS2 port. The online component of the PC game may not be included in the PS2 version seeing as how the PS2 network will not be up until sometime in 2001. We'll keep you posted.
