Strength:

A very promising factor is his height, others including agility and athleticism. He can knock down jump shots, all the way out to NBA 3 point range with consistency. Ming has an excellent hook shot that sometimes becomes indefensible. He has a very clever offensive game and passes the ball with creativity. Ming moves very smoothly on the court and has good quickness. With the aggressiveness he has, he sometimes becomes a non stoppable mover. He loves to dunk.

Weaknesses:

Injury concerns, players of his size often have foot and knee problems with the stress their size creates; to over come these problems he must build up his strength. Though Yao has good quickness at 7-5 but he will take time to adjust to the quickness of the NBA.
