Doom Organization

After the end of Battle City, not in line with the comics, Kazuki Takahashi has been publishing this series since February 2003. It has been running for more than 6 months. The Doom series started from episode 145, that was first aired on TV Tokyo on February 18, 2003. This series comes after Battle City. Also, it doesn't exist in the original story, the comics. This series is said to run for about 30 episodes.
An organization called Doom, with a mysterious power called the Oracle Curse, appears and consists of four main characters. Dartz is the leader of Doom, and the three Doom warriors named Raphael, Varion and Amelda. The series starts when Dartz steals Yugi's Egyptian God Cards, and seals the ancient tablet at Domino museum. So Yugi fails to recover his memory back. At the same time, the world is threatened by an unexplainable situation. Duel Monsters becomes real. In order to figure out what is going on and bring the god cards back, Yugi and his friends travel to America following Pegasus's invitation.
The story is upon an assumption that there was a Holy Land, containing the Ka of all people in the form of monster, and it had existed in the real world 10,000 years ago, before Egypt's history 5,000 years ago. At that time, Dartz, the leader of Doom, and his army attacked the Holy Land. This was called the Holy War. Three legendary dragons of the Holy Land were attacked and sealed inside the castle for many years, frozen until a time when they would be called out of the darkness.
Now, Dartz is back again and he plans to destroy this world by his Oracle Curse power. In order to reach his purpose and resurrect his queen, a great amount of soul-energy was needed. Dartz could only think of the Egyptian God Cards, so he used them, plus the souls of innocents are important factors. So he sends his warriors to take the duelists' souls, especially Yugi's soul. By power of Oracle Curse played as "The Seal of the Oracle Curse", a magic card, the loser must pay his soul.
In this new series, one of key cards is a magic card shown as The Seal Of The Oracle Curse. Here is some abilities and effects of this card.
1. When this card is activated, the Oracle Curse Ring appears and surrounds the field. No one can enter or leave until the end of the game.
2. Only the same kind of Oracle Curse's power can eliminate the Seal of the Oracle Curse. Any other power, magic card, trap card as well as the power of a millennium item, cannot negate or effect the Oracle Curse.
3. At the end of the game, inside the Oracle Curse Ring, the loser must sacrifice his soul.
4. A player gains dark powers, while his monster becomes a dark monster having power up of 500 attack points.
5. A player can summon monsters on the field at maximum of 10 monsters. (Regular rule is at maximum of 5 monsters)
With the power of the Oracle Curse, Doom warriors are greater than ordinary duelists. Thus, the power of 3 dragons (Hellmos, Critias, Timaeus) is necessary in dueling against the Seal of the Oracle Curse. However, only a person with true heart of a duelist is chosen to obtain that power. They are Yugi an owner of Timaeus, Joey an owner of Hellmos and Kaiba an owner of Critias.
Certainly, a major reason is that your monsters will gain a 500-Point power bonus, and that you can summon up to 10 monsters onto the field.
In episodes 156-158, it is a surprise that the person who plays Seal of the Oracle Curse isn't Raphael, but Yami himself. Raphael plans to give Yami his card, the Seal of the Oracle Curse, by activating his 'Exchange' magic card. When Yami first gets it, he decides not to use it. However, when his monsters are sealed, and the situation becomes worse, Yami changes his mind. Obtaining dark powers of the Oracle Curse, his mind also becomes evil. But Yami is inapt at using this card, and is unable to cope with the stress, and sacrifices all of his monsters without consideration. That is why he is finally defeated and loses the soul of Little Yugi.
When Doom warriors play the Seal of the Oracle Curse, their monsters are powered up. So only one thing that can negate the power of the Oracle Curse is power of the the Three Legendary Dragons: Critias, Timaeus and Hellmos, which have been sealed since the Holy War. Not everybody, but but a chosen duelist can unseal the dragons. Of course, they are the finalists from Battle City, Yugi, Kaiba and Joey.
When power of the enemy is increased by the Seal of the Oracle Curse, Yugi and his friends also have to increase their power. One thing that can negate the power of the Oracle Curse is the power of the 3 legendary dragons, sealed in the Holy Land. While three of them were in trouble, in a duel with the dark powers of the Oracle, their minds were taken into the Holy Land to awaken the legendary dragons. Both Yugi's help each other awaken Timaeus in his dream. Joey resurrects Hellmos while he is dueling against Mai. Also, Kaiba resurrects Critias while he is dueling against Amelda at Pegasus's castle.
But the power of theses Legendary Dragons isn't apparent. They are played and combined with the other monsters, like equipped monsters to increase a monster's power as well as to negate the power of the Oracle Curse. As we can see, Kaiba fuses Critias with his magic and trap card to create a new monster, Yugi fuses Timaeus with other monsters to create an even stronger monster, while Joey combines his monsters with Hellmos to create equip cards.
In order to destroy Doom, a union of the 3 Legendary Dragons is necessary. However, at present, Kaiba refuses to cooperate. He intends to destroy Doom by himself. After his perception that Yugi, the king of duelists, was defeated by Raphael, he becomes more angry and refuses any help and support. At the same time Yami has an unstable emotion because of his lost partner, Yugi. Because of his aggressive duel by sacrificing monsters without reasons, he also lost little Yugi's soul. It seems that Yugi needed time to stand up and to recover his heart. The last duelist is Joey, who seems to be a great warrior with a strong heart. His intention to help his friend, Mai, led him to become a chosen duelist.
