Biographies
Yugi Mutou- Yugi Mutou was an ordinary schoolboy who could never quite stand up for himself and was always self-conscious. He was smart, but not extraordinary, and he could never take the challenges other villainous schoolboys threw at him. Then, one day, everything changed for Yugi. He obsessed over a strange ancient Egyptian artifact that contained the pieces to a puzzle--until the puzzle was solved. The finished product was a bizarre, golden pyramid that granted him strange and dark abilities! Whenever he or his friends are threatened, he is instantly transformed into a more powerful, taller, and older version of himself! Not only does he gain the brilliance of a genius and enough self-confidence to fill a gymnasium, he also gains the ability to master an unusual set of cards and to draw villains into a dreamlike world where reality is at Yugi's whim... In fact, he's literally the King of Game (Yugi=game) and anyone who challenges him must face the wrath of his many, monster-filled cards, strange games of chance and skill, or rolls of the dice!

Yami Yugi- Yami Yugi: The most mysterious character in Yu-Gi-Oh. The "Yami" in his name literally means "evil". He is a Dark Soul that resides inside the Millenium Puzzle, and merges with Yugi during a duel in order to help him. He looks like Yugi Mutou, but he is taller and has a different hairstyle and a deeper voice. Back in ancient times, a Pharoah used the dark powers of the Shadow Realm and the Shadow Games (Duel Monsters) to rule Egypt. But when the dark powers begain to grow out of control, he was forced to seal the seven dark powers away into the seven Millennium Items, sacrificing himself to do so. His memory was erased and his soul was sealed into the Millennium Puzzle. Yami Yugi IS the Pharoah. Becuase his memory is erased, he has no ambition to rule the world as he once did, nor the knowledge of how to use the Shadow Realm to dominate the world. Because of this, his more likable qualities are present- courage, wisdom and heart. He is friends with Yugi, and guides him to victory during duels. Like all the Dark Souls that rest within the Millennium Items, Yami Yugi has certain powers. The most obvious is the ability to merge with Yugi Mutou. During this transformation, sometimes a third eye will appear in the center of his forehead. He can also use a devastating attack called "Mind Crush" on anyone who loses to him in any game. Another useful ability is the "Mind Shuffle" which he uses in his duel against Pegasus. A not so obvious ability is the power to reshuffle the cards in someone's deck so that they always draw the card they need. It is not known how many times he uses this ability, but the most evident time is when he causes Joey to draw the "Time Wizard" card in his duel against Mai. (This is confirmed in the Manga series, but not the TV Series.) He can also shield himself from attacks, though he only uses this in the aftermath of his duel with Panic. Eventually in the series, all seven Millennium Items and the three God cards are gathered together and the dark power that Yami Bakura refers to is unleashed- the Pharoah's memory. It is at this point Yami Yugi becomes an enemy, and Yugi Mutou must duel him in the Shadow Realm with the fate of the world on the line.

Bakura Ryou- Bakura is a classmate of Yugi’s and came to the duelist’s kingdom for fun, he doesn’t even have a single star chip. He owns a Millennium item called the Millennium Ring that carries the soul of a tomb robber. He has the power to trap the souls of others in inanimate objects and detect other Millennium items, there is just one problem… he can’t control it! He was seen by Tea in the early episodes of the duelist kingdom and met the gang after Joey beat Rex Raptor, where he duelled them, literally, when he turned them into their favorite monsters. His favorite card is the Change of Heart card and later in the series, he will become the new owner of the Millennium Eye.

Yami Bakura- Yami Bakura, The tomb Robber: The main thing we know about him is that he's very abusive towords his Hikari (light) -AKA Ryou-. Bakura doesn't show a lot of care for Ryou ever really except at one point where he switches to take a very devastating physical attack for him. Bakura also makes a deal with Yami Malik who has the Millenium Staff by cutting himself, confusing Ryou as to why he has the injury. Bakura also knows how to use Mind Control and uses Tea as a pawn to get him his Millenium Ring at one point in episode 96..? (I'm unsure of my own import u.u0) Bakura also battles Malik in the Shadow Realm (or in a Game of Darkness).

Grandpa Motou- Grandpa is Yugi Moto's grandfather. He lives and takes care of Yugi. Grandpa believes that if you believe in the cards you have you will pick out a good card. He calls this philosophy The Heart of the cards. Grandpa's soul was kidnapped by Maximillion Pegasus and his millennium eye. Later on Bakura will become the owner of the millennium eye. And about Pegasus, we'll have to wait and see.........

Joey Wheeler- Joey is Yugi's best friend. When the show starts, he can't duel (Tea beats him!). Yugi teaches him, and Joey becomes a pretty good duelist (not as good as yugi, kaiba, or pegasus, though). They go to Duelist Kingdom together, yugi to save his granfather's soul, and joey to save his sister's eyesight (he REALLY cares about her). yugi and joey duel their way to the finals, where they have to face each other. yugi wins, but gives joey the prize money for serenity's operation (what kind of operation costs $3,000,000!?!?). Anyway, yugi gets his grandfather's soul back and everyone is happy. in season 2 joey enters the battle city tournament for fun at first, then he promises to help yugi take down marik -the newest bad guy- (that is the most annoying flashback!) joey meets marik, but marik calls himself Namu and pretends to be a friend. Of course, they need some drama, so Marik takes control over joey's mind(although joey doesn't know its marik, he thinks odion is marik), and forces him to duel yugi, in a duel where the loser dies (why don't they just say the word "die" or "kill" on the show?!?!). of course they get out of it, no one actually dies. Serenity, mai, and duke(i love him, though not as much as joey) join the gang. After going through with operation, serenity gets to see joey duel in the finals (he beats Espa Roba, Weevil and Mako to get there). There he duels Odion, who everyone thinks is marik. He wins cause odion plays a fake Ra, and they both get struck by lightning, and kaiba(i like him, but i think he is a jackass-sorry to those who like him) says the winner is the one to get up first. joey wins and marik is exposed. marik then turns into yami-marik(this guy makes pegasus look like a stuffed animal). after the duel they go to see odion, who is unconcious. joey tells the gang that he won because he a wierd dream, and all of his friends were in it and they help him stand up. mai asks if she was in it and joey says no, cause he doesn't want her to know he's thinking about her(he soooo likes her!), and she gets all independent, and won't listen to their advice during her and marik's duel(like when yugi tries to tell her about revival jam), anyway she is about to get attacked by Ra, and she can't move casue of some freaky monsters mairk played. joey runs up to her, and tells her she was in his dream, and stays with her to hold off Ra's attack. yugi blocks it for both of them. marik sends mai to the shadow realm and joey feels REALLY guilty. Season 3 was stupid. They go to a virtual world for a day. They come back. The End. Season 4. Joey wants to duel marik in the semi-finals, so he can rescue mai(we find out from a flashback serenity has that mai likes joey and says he can be "charming" and has a "soft side")serenity stays with mai while Joey fights marik in a shadow duel where their "energy" or "inner strength"(they said both) gets drained when a monster is attacked. joey loses a lot of monsters, so this isn't a lot of fun for him. marik summons Ra, and attacks, and joey's energy or strength or whatever becomes completly drained, so he falls down and doesn't get up right before he attacks marik to win.(i'm not sure if he's in the shadow realm, or just unconcious. they don't show marik sending his mind to the shadow realm, so i dunno). serenity REALLY freaks out when he loses. yugi is dueling kaiba to try and save his mind right now (i cant believe yami is evil!)

Mai Valentine- Mai is one of the greatest duellists in the world. She was iintroduced in episode 3, where she won Rex Raptor’s suite in a duel by somehow knowing her cards without even looking at them. She used this strategy repeatedly through to the end of the tournament and was successful in all but three duels. Her strategy of putting different perfumes on each kind of card was uncovered by Joey in episode 6. She was then defeated by the Time Wizard, who turned Joey’s Baby Dragon into the Thousand Dragon and aged her three Harpy Ladies into weak old ladies with wings! She won eight star chips in one day, an amazing accomplishment. Rex Raptor came to her near sunset and challenged her. She said that only someone strong enough to beat Joey could fight her and used Rex as a guinea pig to eliminate Joey. Later on in the duel, Rex struck a deal. Whoever wins gets all monsters on their opponent’s side of the field. Once again, the Time Wizard settled it and Joey received a Red Eyes Black Dragon in the process. She had a picnic with Yugi and his friends that night, but disappeared. Later, after their clash with Bakura, they heard her scream. She had been eliminated by Panik. Luckily, Yugi won back her eight star chips for her and she repaid him five star chips after he lost to Kaiba. Yugi refused, so Tea duelled Mai for them. Mai surrendered after Tea beat her Harpy Lady. The next day, Mai and Yugi duelled in the playoffs. Yugi was put off by Pegasus and refused to let Yami Yugi duel for him. Mai then snapped him out of it and Yugi and Yami Yugi teamed up to finish the duel with the Black Luster Soldier, who defeated her Harpy’s Pet Dragon. She surrendered. Mai was out and gave Joey her Glory of the King’s Hand card, which is required to duel and to claim the prize money, because Joey had lost his. Joey eliminated Bandit Keith, who confessed to have stolen his card while Joey was sleeping. It wasn’t the end of Mai. She appeared and helped Yugi, Joey and Mokuba rescue Kaiba when Kaiba was trapped in his video game pods. She went by the name of Madam Butterfly and wore a mask, but Joey recognised her strategy and identified her. She went on to help them until the final baddie, the Mystic Dragon, destroyed her every monster. This three-part special will take part shortly after the Duellist’s Kingdom ends and has recently been shown in the UK.

Maxamillion Pegasus- Maxamillion Pegasus is the acclaimed, "creator" of Duel Monsters, when in fact, the game was created thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt, where actual monsters were created and battled against on another on an evil basis. Pegasus has just recently stolen the soul of Yugi's grandfather in another one of his bazaar attempts to duel and humiliate Yugi. By winning a battle against Yugi, Pegasus forced him to come to The Duelist Kingdom, the ultimate Duel Monster playing field, where all of the top duelists from the country meet and battle for ten star chips, in hopes of making it to Maxamilllion's mansion for the one fateful battle with the "maker of the game". Wielding one of the millennium items, the "millennium eye", Pegasus is able to see through other people's eyes, (read their minds) and he uses this technique when dueling as a way of cheating -he can see every card that someone is holding, creating the ultimate defense. Even more recently, he has stolen the souls of Seto Kiaba, and Seto's little brother Mokuba, and trapped them in Dueling Monster cards -just for fun. Or so we thought. As it turns out, Pegasus used to be one of the "good guys". He was even a talented painter. When his wife, the love of his life, died, he was thrust into a world of despair. Traveling all over the world looking for answers, Maxamillion found his way to the Giza pyramids in Egypt. There, by a stroke of luck, (and a weird/mysterious guy who doesn't bother to tell him his name) he found that he was destined to acquire the Millennium Eye -and he had planned to use it to bring his deceased wife back to life. But now, the world is just a cartoon show to him, and he tries to make the most interesting web of lies and deception as he is capable of. (He had also planned to use the Kaiba Corporation, Yugi's Millennium Puzzle, and the soul's of Yugi's grandfather, Seto Kaiba, and Mokuba Kaiba, to bring his wife back. But alas, he has lost the Duelist kingdom title to Yugi, and has freed the souls of Mr. Mutou's, and the Kiaba brothers. The "evil Bakura" -Bakura possessed by the evil spirit in his millennium eye- has also stolen the millennium eye from Pegasus. Things just aren't looking so good for the oh-so-noble Pegasus. He has even taken the three most powerful duel monster cards in the world and hid them to make sure that anyone eivil could not use the cards powers against another. Of course, that plan failed too, as they have once again been taken.) Billionaire Maxamillion Pegasus can often be seen sipping a glass of wine -I mean, the worlds finest grape juice- at the head of his oversized dining room table, watching cartoons, and practicing his sinister laugh. I ask you; How evil is that?

Marik Ishtar- As far as physical appearance goes, Marik is a thin, Egyptian looking young man with tanned skin and platinum blond hair that goes past his shoulders in jagged locks with many jagged bangs. He wears long, golden Egyptian earrings, golden armbands and a golden colored collar (formal Egyptian clothing). He s often seen hidden under a long, purple cloak with a voluminous hood that hides all of his hair or a sleeveless lavender shirt that exposes his stomach. He s older than Yugi and his friends, most likely at least eighteen-years-old. Marik Ishtar, or Malik Ishtar in the Japanese version, is the son of an Egyptian tomb keeper. The Ishtar family have always served as tomb keepers, thus Marik being the first born son was destined to continue this tradition whether he approved of it or not. Marik did not. As a child Marik was very close to Odion and Ishizu. Marik s mother died right after he was born, leaving he, Odion, and Ishizu in the care of Mr. Ishtar who was very strict and did not attempt to sympathize with his children. He disliked Odion strongly; Odion was adopted when Marik s mother found him as a baby on the surface above their underground home. Treated like her own son, Marik s mother insisted Odion receive the tomb keeper s initiation, especially after Ishizu was born and she suspected a son might never be born. Marik s father, though disliking this, realized this might come to pass lest a son be born, viola Marik. Mr. Ishtar then forgot all ideas of making Odion the tomb keeper and focusing on Marik. Marik was an innocent, good-natured child who loved both Ishizu and Odion. Odion was Marik s watcher, protecting the future tomb keeper. Marik was once bitten by a poisonous snake and developed a terrible fever. Enraged with Odion for letting this happen, Marik s father insisted Odion stay by Marik s side until he was well. Marik forgave Odion and explained it was not his fault. When Marik was about eleven his studying was terribly hard on him, agitating him and making him irritable. Odion brought dinner to Marik in his room while he studied ancient scriptures, though this time Marik was so annoyed he flung the tray from Odion s hands and began complaining angrily how he did not wish to be the tomb keeper. Odion suggested he could be the tomb keeper, delighting Marik and making him wonder why Odion would give up his freedom for him. When Marik turned twelve, the traditional age for receiving the tomb keeper s initiation, he was carried off despite his cries for help from Odion to be freed, as he did not want to be the tomb keeper. Odion later found Marik in his room lying on his bed on his stomach in pain. He revealed the bandages beneath his shirt where the ancient secrets of the Pharaoh had been tattooed onto his back. Odion proceeded to remove bandages from his own face, showing Marik he too had hieroglyphic tattoos of ancient scriptures on the side of his face. This pleased Marik a bit. A little after his initiation Marik decided he would enlist Ishizu s help to go to the surface into town. Pitying Marik, Ishizu finally agreed they d go up for a few hours and then come right back before their father caught them. The slipped onto the surface and made their way into down, passing by different stands. Marik saw a picture of a motorcycle, falling in love with it and proclaiming one day he would get a motorcycle and ride it. Ishizu urged Marik to return to their home, coming face to face with their angry father. Mr. Ishtar punished Odion for allowing his children to go to the surface, beating him until Marik, very upset by his father s actions, picked up the sacred Millennium Rod, despite Mr. Ishtar s protests. All at once the hatred and anger that had built up in Marik s heart erupted as the evil spirit Yami Marik. Yami Marik proceeded to banish Mr. Ishtar to the Shadow Realm using the Millennium Rod (Yami Marik uses the Millennium Rod, which at the end of it is a hidden dagger, to kill his father in the Japanese version). Afterwards Yami Marik is suppressed by Odion, returning twelve-year-old Marik to his innocent, original side, who had no knowledge of what happened and was regretful. Marik proceeded to form a gang of Rare Hunters to find the Egyptian God Cards. As he grew up he decided he would not be a tomb keeper but instead would become Pharaoh himself by using the God cards and the power of the Pharaoh Yami (locked in the Millennium Puzzle). He managed to gain The Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer the Sky Dragon, but was unable to get Obelisk the tormentor when he discovered the card had been moved from its hidden location. Walking from the enclosure, Marik met up with Ishizu who urged her brother to stop what he was doing. Marik held out his Millennium Rod, pointing it to Ishizu and warning her not to get in his way again or she would pay. Ishizu was shocked Marik was use the Millennium item on his own flesh and blood, but Marik left her. In Battle City we see Marik had his own large boat and many purple cloak-wearing Rare Hunter servants to do his bidding. He periodically took control of his own mind servants, finally using his Millennium Rod to control the minds of Joey and Tea, forcing Yugi into a duel. He ran into Joey and Tea with Ryou Bakura under the alias of Namu, changing his voice to be lighter and unrecognizable to them. When the Battle City Finals rolled around Yugi and his friends were under the impression Odion was actually Marik, with Marik still going by Namu. During Odion s duel with Joey, Odion and Joey faced the wrath of the vengeful Wing Dragon of Ra after Odion tried to use a fake card while dueling. Odion was struck down by lightning, along with Joey, and both were knocked unconscious. Joey managed to stand up in order to win the duel, though after Odion remained unconscious in a coma-like state. Without Odion to suppress the evil darker half of Marik, Yami Marik erupted from deep within Marik, alerting Yugi and his friends Namu had been tricking them all along. Yami Marik, now in total control of Marik body, dueled Mai and sent her mind to the Shadow Realm, rendering her in an unconscious state so long as her mind was trapped. After a close duel with Joey, Yami Marik won after Joey fainted when the pressure of the Shadow Realm became to much for his body to handle. Yami Marik went on to face Yami Yugi, with both Marik and Yugi hanging chained in midair in the Shadow Realm. Each time a duelist lost life points, part of his hikari, or lighter half, disappeared. Yami was able to switch Marik s place with Yami Marik, defeating him and freeing Marik of the dark spirit forever. Regretful for all that had happened, Marik handed over the Winged Dragon of Ra and his Millennium Rod (Yugi s got quite a collection). Now sounding and acting like Namu, his personality completely changed (not really a good thing. Marik went from semi-antagonist to best buds with Yami. X.X Marik s Namu voice is too different from his regular voice (not Yami Marik s voice). It sounds too cheesy and not Marik at all). He removed his shirt and showed Yami the key to unlocking the Pharaoh s secrets and past on his back (many hieroglyphics). He, Ishizu, and Odion got on their boat and proceeded to sail back to Egypt (doesn t make sense but then again what does in this episode?)

Seto Kaiba- Seto Kaiba is one of the best duelists in the world. Ranked World Champion in the most recent World Tournament, Kaiba was undefeated until Yugi displayed the heart of the cards in getting revenge for his grandfather. Kaiba thought he had the duel won. especially because he had all three of his Blue Eyes out onto the field, but Yugi drew Exodia and obliterated his Blue Eyes and life points. After the duel, Yugi used his Millenium Puzzle to destroy the evil in Kaiba's heart. Kaiba thought it was back to the drawing board until he got invovled in Pegasus's "Game" when Pegasus kidnapped Mokuba. He thought the kidnapping would allow him to hostily take over Kaiba Corp., Seto Kaiba's personal company. Kaiba corp is responsible for the holographic dueling fields and discs that allow players to physically "see" the duel. Kaiba flies to the island via helicopter after helping Yugi win a duel against "himself" ( It was his evil self brought back from the shadow realm). When he arrives he beates Joey 8000-0 in a breif duel. He actually surprises Pegasus by his appearence on the island but Pegasus twists Kaiba's mission to save his brother into an expanison of his game. He allows Kaiba the chance to duel him BUT only if he humiliates Yugi by defeating him in a duel. Kaiba sets out to acheive this quest and duels Yugi when he arrives with his friends on top of Pegasus's castle. In this duel Kaiba does something never done before...using his three Blue Eyes and Polymerization he assembles the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Seto also plays the Crush Card virus limiting Yugi to only play monsters with an attk of 1500 or less. Kaiba seems to have the upper hand until Yugi polymerizes his own Mammoth Graveyard with Kaiba's Blue Eyes Ultimate causing it to rot from within. Every turn the Blue Eyes Ultimate lost 1200 attk points each turn. Yugi also plays a Celtic Gaurdian which is strong enough to take out each of the three heads on his Blue Eyes Ultimate. The Celtic gaurdian starts by slicing off one. Next turn Yugi plans to attack another head and win the duel. Kaiba realizes this and plays reborn the monster, reviving one of the Blue Eyes heads at its full strength. So he pulls the last trick up his sleeve, he backs to the castle edge and explains to Yugi that if he attacks another Blue Eyes head the resulting shockwaves could knock Kaiba off the edge. Kaiba knows that Yugi would not hurt anyone so this his plot to make Yugi concede so he'll win the duel. Kaiba needs to win this duel to save his little bro Mokuba and he'll do anythig to win. Yami Yugi orders an attack and Yugi stops it tearing himself apart from within. He concedes and Kaiba wins five of his star chips taking away his chance of entering the castle and saving his grandpa. Kaiba starts to realize the power of the heart of the cards philosophy but decides he can't change his own strategy now. Kaiba duels Pegasus and the finalists ( Yugi included ) watch from above. Pegasus, using superior cards and his Millenium Eye, defeates Kaiba by using his own Blue Eyes against him. Using the Millenium Eye, Pegasus traps Kaiba and Mokuba into Duel Monsters cards causing Yugi to transform into Yami Yugi to fight for his soul. Now as Yugi duels in the tournament, Seto's and Mokuba's only chance to be free, ride on his shoulders. What will be in Kaiba's future? Let's and see... ---------- Seto Kaiba- Seto Kaiba was the best duelist until Yugi beat him in a duel. Pegasus wanted to take over Seto's company, Kaiba Corp. (originally owned by his step father *more about him in season 2*) When Yugi beat Pegasus he (Pegasus) couldn't have Seto's company ^^! Ishizu Ishar told him that in his past life he was an evil sorcerer. (EVIL SORCERER! I preferred high priest) and then he got Obelisk the Tormentor! Kaiba has a little brother, Mokuba. That will do anything for him. He has a step brother (dead) named Noah (More about him in season 2... hopefully!) Seto's deck contains: 3 Blue-eyes white dragon La Jinn the mystical genie of the Lamp Ancient Lamp Judge Man Saggi the Dark Clown Obelisk the tormentor and way to many more to list

Serenity Wheeler- Serenity Wheeler is Joey Wheelers little sister. She has extremely bad eyesight, and unless she gets a three million dollar surgery, she will lose her sight completely, and go blind. Joey, of course, won't stand for that. So, he enters (with a little, a lot, of help from Yugi Mouto) the Duel Monsters championships hosted by Maxamillion Pegasus, (The games, "Creator") so he can win the prize money, three million dollars, (what a coincidence!) to have the surgery preformed on his sister. Joey hasn't seen her for many years, as his mother and father got divorced seven years before. Serenity spoke in a video message to Joey, "I want to see you, one last time.". After battling to the best of his ability, Joey places a mere second in the Championships, his best friend, Yugi, placing first. All hope is not lost for Serenity's however, for Yugi gives the three million to Joey for the sake of his sister. Serenity has played a major part in Joey's success as a duel monster champion, and she even inadvertently got her brother and mother speaking to each other again! (Their mother had been the cause of the divorce, and Joey hadn't spoken to her for seven years because of it.) Serenity was last spoke of as, "In the recovery room, Yug! She's doing just fine.", according to her brother, Joey, and it looks like her eyesight has been saved.

Tea Gardner- Tea is one of the main female characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh gang, and she always appears to be cheerful and encouraging for her group. Apparently, Yugi and Tea share some sort of subtle love connection, especially on several occassions, such as in the Battle City Finals. Tea is very friendly with Yugi, since they're childhood friends, but her true love is Yami Yugi, who saved her several times. We shall see how it will develop in later episodes. Her dueling record so far is small but notable. She dueled against Mai Valentine, who felt her will as she battled for Yugi's extra star chips, and so Mai surrendered volunteerily. Another big moment I remember was when Tea dueled against one of the Big Five, Crump, in the form of Nightmare Penguin, during the Deck Master Saga. Tea chose the Dark Magician Girl as her Deck Master, and fought bravely against Crump's relentless freezing assults. The stake of the duel was that whoever lost the duel would be trapped as a solid ice scalpture. At one point, Tea was losing badly at her duel, but her Dark Magician Girl encouraged her to move her forward and use a combination of Stone of Sacred Sage and Yugi's Dark Magician, along with the Dark Magician Girl, to win the duel. Marik brainwashed and possesed Tea with the power of Millenium Rod for a short period of time during the Battle City Tournament, and it was quite eerie and scary. One of the scariest moment when that happened was the time when Marik's Rare Hunters kidnapped Joey Weeler and Tea, and brainwashed them in order to set up a forced mortal duel between Yugi and Joey. Fortunately, Yugi found a way to save both Joey and Tea. Marik's good side stayed dormant within Tea's mind until he heard the truth about his father's murder by Yami Marik. So, he controled Tea and ordered her to return Bakura Ryu's Millenium Ring and challenged Yami Marik to a Shadow Duel (as teamed up with Bakura). After losing that duel, Marik took refuge at Tea's mind and warned Ishizu to hide Odeon from Yami Marik, since Odeon was the only one who can seal the darkness inside Marik. At the site of Kaiba Corp. Duel Tower, Marik once again possesed Tea, Twice; the first time was when Joey and Seto Kaiba battled for the 3rd Place of the Battle City Finals, and Tea, who was possessed by Marik, challenged Yami Marik to a Shadow Game alone. But as luck would have it, Yugi came in the nick of time to save her and Ishizu from Yami Marik's wrath. The second time was when Yami Yugi and Yami Marik faced each other at the Battle City Championship round. The stake was that as each duelist lost lifepoints, his regular ego would fade away into the Shadow Realm. Marik spoke through Tea to plea Yami Yugi to destroy Yami Marik at all costs. However, Yami Yugi and Yugi did the smart way, with a help from Odeon, who encouraged Marik to keep his dark side on check; Yami Yugi use several combinations to fight Yami Marik's Winged Dragon of Ra, and in the end, used a Spell card called Ragnorak to destroy Ra. Thus, all madness was relatively over at the Battle City Finals. Another scary moment I remembered was during the fatal duel between Noah and Yugi. In each passing turn, Tea, along Yugi's friends, were turned into stone by Noah in his anger. But as always, Yugi came through for his friends and beat Noah.

Tristen Taylor- Tristian Taylor - He was Joey's school friend back in the good ole days, the days when he and Joey used to pick on poor little yugi.. and then something happened to change all of that and now they are all best friends, but still Tristian shows more friendship towards Joey then anyone else in the group. It may seem that Tristian is on the Island to shove off some comical relief on the gang, but that isn't the case at all. He came onto the island to support his friends Joey and Yugi. So along with Tea and himself, they snuck onto the boat. It is said that Tristian has a secret reason for trying to become a duelist, yet we have not seen him duel. But don't let that fool you, the oaf actually DOES have dueling cards. For instance, The Swamp Battlegaurd, and the Cyber Commando are just some of the many cards he probably has at his disposal. I think that Tristian's story will become more clear in the future episodes ...

Alister- Alister (Amelda in Japan) is one of the Doom Warriors. As a child, his family was struck down by Kaiba Corporation's Military Forces during a war, and has sworn revenge on KC, which led him to Doom. He doesn't realize that Kaiba isn't responsible for his family slaughter, when it was his stepfather in reality. He poses as Pegasus to duel Kaiba, but is exposed. The duel then starts anew, and he focuses on Pyro and Fiend-types, but mostly around a monster named Balrog. The duel ends in a tie, thus, no souls are trapped in the Seal. The second time around, he uses a "military" deck to torture Kaiba of his company's past that he wants to forget. Alister uses monsters such as KC-1 Clayton, Toy Robot Tokens, and the all-powerful Sky Fortress Zigguraut, which is resistant to all Spells and Traps, no matter what the effect. He loses, however, and is trapped in the Seal.

Anubis- A villain appearing only in the Yu-Gi-Oh Movie, Anubis a shapeshifting nightmare. He unleashed chaos on the world five-thousand (5000) year ago and was only halted by the pharaoh Yami. He was unleashed once again when Kaiba used the trap card Pyramid of Light in an attempt to defeat Yugi. Wielding the mighty Sphinx cards and an Eighth Millennium Item with the same name as the card that freed him, he sought revenge on Yugi, a descendant of Yami. Using his Sphinx cards, he overpowered Yugi's Egyptian God Cards, but was halted by the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. Anubis had the power to bring the dead to life and shares his name with the god of mummifcation.

Arkana- Arkana used to be a magician with his girlfriend(Cathryn) but he didn't make when trying to perform his famous aerial fire toss. Cathryn dies in the fire, and Arkana's face burns. After losing Cathryn, he searches the world for some thing that could bring her out(just like Pegasus' story). When he gets to Egypt he meets Marik, and he tells him if to defeat Yugi in a duel and retrieve his millienium puzzle. So Arkana heads to the Battle City Tournament with Marik. Arkana has many dark magician cards in his deck. He faces Yugi but loses. After the duel Marik sends Arkana to the shadow realm.

Arthur Hawkins- Arthur Hawkins is Rebecca Hawkins Grandfather. He is a scientist and led a big dig in Egypt near the great prymaids in his previous years. At the dig he befriended Yugi's grandfather, he offered Yugi's grandfather some water and instantly they became friends. During that dig he discovered writings and drawing underneath a ancient egyptian tomb. He discovered the drawings on the wall much resembled duel monsters, and the heiroglaphics mentioned a game very similar to duel monsters. Arthur believed duel monsters was played in ancient times. When he presented that idea to his colleges he is believed to be a radical thinker and other scientists laughed at the idea. Yugi's grandfather and Arthur was trapped together underneath the cave when they tried to get out. They spent much times together when finally Arthur decided to have a friendly game of duel monsters with Yugi's grandfather and they would wager their last drop of water. Arthurs dueling technique is the same as rebeccas, but he taught that genius how to duel. The game went on for a long time when finally Yugi's grandfather gave up the duel. Arthur is very greatful for the water, and was so pleased, he gave his Blue Eyes White Dragon to Yugi's grandfather. Later Rebecca misunderstood the situation and accused Yugi's grandfather for stealing her card.

Bandit Keith- Bandit Keith is a very good duelist. He is the intercontinental champion and has lost only one match and that was to Pegasus himself. Pegasus humiliated him by calling in a boy from the crowd to replace him and beat Bandit Keith. Ever since his only defeat he has wanted nothing but to defeat Pegasus and he is very confident in his abilities.

Bones- Bones’s age isn’t really known but I would think he was around the age of 13-14 one of the younger duellists in the show. His jap name is ‘Ghost Kotsuzaka’ Ghost as in well.. Ghosts’s and Kotsuzaka means something along the lines of ‘Bone hill’ many people think he’s one of the creepiest duellists but he is also rather naïve in his need to have like an acceptance among his older peers, I myself doubt they were ‘friends’. Bones is like a puppet with the strings crossed, he’s not a bad duellist but he needs a back bone and to learn to stand up for himself. He could have beat Joey if he had attacked at the right moment instead of listing to Keith’s advice of ‘humiliating’ Joey. In battle city he manages to spook his way into getting almost as many locator cards as he needed along with the help of Sid and Zygore. Yami No Bakura saw through their scare tactics. At first when the challenge was being set Ghost was hesitant towards the offer of ‘winner takes all’ but due to his friends rashness he fell into Bakura’s plan and duelled him. He seems to have grown more of a spine by now but it didn’t hold out to long when he saw he wasn’t the only one who was in ownership of a deck of chilling cards. In the end the spirit of the ring managed to beat Ghost despite his last ditch attempt with ‘Nightmare steel cage’ he lost the duel and was dragged down along with his two friends into the shadow realm [hell] and isn’t seen again. Another small fact, Bones has the same voice actor as Tea in the dubbed version.

Cecilia Pegasus- Cecilia Pegasus is the late wife of Maxamillion Pegasus, the creator of the Duel Monsters card game. They first met as children, and as they grew older and Pegasus became a painter, she was his favorite subject. However, by some unknown cause apparently shortly after their marriage, Cecilia passed away. Pegasus became bitter and cold, and scoured the world for a way to bring her back. His quest led him to Egypt, where he met Shadi, discovered the Shadow Games, and received the Millennium Eye. Pegasus's attempts to obtain more Millennium Items were part of his plan to combine Kaiba Corp. virtual technology (hence his deal with the Big 5) with Shadow magic in order to bring her back. Several portraits of Cecilia, including a duel monsters card in Pegasus's diary, are found in his castle at Duelist Kingdom. Cecilia appeared only in flashbacks and in the diary reading.

Croquet- Croquet is always the last person to know something and he disappoints Pegasus. Croquet is or was second in command yet fails to capture Seto Kaiba so he gets thrown in the dungeon.

Crump- The second member of the Big 5, crump loved only two things in his childhood: numbers and penguins. Thus, he became financial expert for the Big 5 and joined in the plot concocted by Pegasus. After the Big 5 were trapped in the virtual world they had attempted to trap Kaiba in, they joined forces with Noah, the biological son of their original employer, Gozaburo Kaiba. After Gansley was defeated by Yugi, Crump sought to redeem the Big 5 and challenged Tea to a duel disguised as a duel monster known as Nightmare Penguin. In his iceberg arena, loss of lifepoints caused ice to form over the competitors. His aquatic deck (includinag alot of penguins) almost froze Tea completely, but Yugi's timely arrival with the Dark Magician caused Tea's Dark Magician Girl to grow strong enough to beat Crump. He later returned with Gansley and the other bodiless Big 5 members in an attempt to forcibly take the bodies of the wandering heroes. Crump also took part in the Big 5's duel against Joey and Yugi, and was banished to a far corner of the virtual world.

Dartz- The main villian of the Orichalcos season, Dartz's intentions are so far unknown. He has mysterious connections to the city of Atlantis and to the power of Orichalcos. He sent the bikers to steal the Egyptian Gods and find the Pharoah. They returned to him and gave him the Egyptian cards, which he placed in the mouths of the serpents of Orichalcos. He then invoked a ceremony to summon the "Great Beast", a monster whose only appearance is in the form of a giant yellow eye. This monster attempted to destroy Yugi, but in its weakened state was driven off by Timaeus.

Dream Duelist Shorty- During his last duel in the dream tournament that takes place in the Clash in the Coliseum episodes, Joey faces off against an unnamed duelist, who he refers to as "Shorty". Though Joey whips out some of his famous tricks, Shorty manages to defeat him with his Metal Dragon combo. Shorty disappears after Joey wakes up, and doesn't seem to be a duelist in the real world.

Duel Robot- The duel robot appears in one episode just before the start of the Battle City tournament. Kaiba faces this machine with the safeties turned off and the skill level set on maximum. If that weren't enough, he also equips the duel robot with a deck identical to the one he used at Duelist Kingdom against Yugi and Pegasus. Kaiba does this both to test his new duel disk system and to test the power of his new Obelisk the Tormentor card against his three Blue Eyes White Dragons. The duel robot whips out several excellent moves and even summons the mighty Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. However, it overloads and exploads when struck by the power of Obelisk the Tormentor.

Duke Devlin- Duke Devlin is a man who wants to destroy yugi. He deafeats joey in a duel by destroying his goblins. He has his own card game called dungeon dice monsters, but like duel monsters there is a secret.

Espa Roba- Espa Roba plays a role in the Battle City tourney. He wanted to become a strong duelist so bullies wouldn't hurt his younger brothers. To make sure Espa wins in a duel, his brothers spy on his opponent's cards while he pretends to have physic powers. First, he defeats Rex Raptor and takes his Serpent Night Dragon. Then, he challenges Joey and summons his mighty Jinzo. Joey figures out he's cheating and destroys Jinzo. When Espa's brothers say they are proud of him, Espa apologizes to Joey and gives him Jinzo.

Gansley- Number one in the Big 5 lineup, Gansley challenged Yugi to a duel in the form of Deepsea Warrior. Gansley's strategy focused on summonging monsters to form a defensive wall and using his deckmaster special ability to send Yugi's attacks back at him. However, Yugi bypassed his defenses and defeated him using a combination of Kuriboh, Rainbow Blessing, and Gaia the Fierce Knight. Gansley later led Crump, Johnson, and Lecter in an attempt to gain possession of Joey, Duke, and Serenity's bodies by force. He was later banished somewhere in the virtual world after he and the other members of the Big 5 failed to defeat Yugi and Joey and thus lost the chance for a new body.

Gozoaboro Kaiba- Gosaboru Kaiba was the founder of Kaiba Corp. He became the richest man in the world. He trained his son, Noah, to become the next president of the company. When Noah had a horrible accident Gosaboru had his mind placed in a virtual world. One day he met Seto Kaiba in an orphanage. He lost to him in a chess game and had to adopt him and his brother, as part of their deal. Gosaboru trained Seto ruthlessly in the field of business. At age 13, Seto overthrew him and became the new president. Humiliated, Gosaboru fled to the virtual world to plot revenge. Years later, Gosaboru used his son Noah to trap Seto, Yugi, and his friends, in the virtual world. When Noah failed, he took matters into his own hands. He revealed his plans to digitize every human in the world and then become their supreme virtual ruler. Then Gosaboru and Seto Kaiba fought in a duel. He summoned his ultimate Necro Exodia. In the end, Seto found a way to destroy it and stoped Gosaboru's evil plans.

Gurimo- Gurimo is the first of the Doom Warriors to duel. He uses Warrior monsters such as Marauding Captain, Makyura the Destructor, and Warrior Dai Grepher. He also uses Obelisk against Yugi, but is destroyed via Yugi's Magnet Warriors and the Magic Card Brave Attack. Gurimo also uses Token Monsters to duel with, such as Shield Wall and Bronze Knight. He loses to Yugi and his soul is trapped in the Seal.

Ishtar Sr.- Marik and Ishizu's father and Odion's stepfather, the elder Ishtar appears only in flashbacks on the pasts of Marik, Ishizu, and Odion. Ishtar and his wife to Odion in when the latter of the pair found Odion abandoned a a baby outside the Pharaoh's tomb. Though they had no children at the time, he was reluctant to give Odion the tombkeeper's initiation. When Ishizu and then Marik were born, he was freed from this doubt. Without his late wife around to defend Odion, Ishtar verbally abused the young man. He was especially angry when Odion told him of Marik's wish to not be a tomb keeper and asked to be initiated instead. The final straw was when Odion allowed Ishizu and Marik to leave the tomb. Ishtar attacked Odion with the Millennium Rod, and ordered him to leave, thus bringing Marik's dark side alive. Ishtar was punished for his overprotectiveness and became Yami Marik's first victim. After his demise, Odion and Marik left together while Ishizu went off alone.

Isis Ishtar- Okay, Isis Isthar is the older sister of Marik Istar (the baddie of the Battle City Saga) as well as the possesor of the Millenium Necklace. Which allows her to see into the past of future. She first meets Kaiba in the Domino museum and reveals to Kaiba his past self as an evil sorceror who is trying to defeat Yami the pharoah in a shadow game. However Kaiba doesn't believe any of it and merely brushes it off as a cheap trick. Then Isis gives Kaiba Obelisk the Tormentor and tells Kaiba to start the Battle City Tornement. She then meets Yami and Tea at the museum and tells Yugi of the upcoming Battle City tornement, and that he must enter it to stop the ultimate evil. Then we don't see Isis again until the Battle City Finals along with Yugi, Joey, Mai, Marik, Bakura, and Odion. She doesn't make her apperience until her duel against Seto. She then duels Seto in a very difficult duel. She then foresees that she will lose to Kaiba using Obelisk, however when Kaiba summons Obelisk he recieves a vision from the Millenium Rod due to the fact that his past self was the original possesor of the item. Then Kaiba sacrifices Obelisk to summon his BEWD and defeats Isis with it. Since the future that she foresaw was changed her Necklace lost its power and then she hands the item over to Yugi.

Jeane Claude Magnum- A famous ninja actor/duelist in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, Magnum appears only once in the TV series. He evidently faced Mai in a duel long ago and lost, and then proposed to her. Mai blew him off, telling him to come back when he could beat her in a duel. He returns shortly after Mai and the others begin their walk to the Battle City Finals and challenges Mai to a duel where if he wins, he takes Mai's place in the Battle City Finals and her hand in marriage. His deck of ninjas overwhelm her Amazons, but she defeats him using her classic Harpy cards. However, one of his ninjas turns out to be a real actor using special effects to masquerade as a duel monster. The phony kidnaps Mai and tries to take her to Magnum's limo, but she struggles and he drops her. Her fall is broken by Joey, who ran after her, and Mai leaves Magnum slumped by his limo saying Joey is far better than him.

Johnny Steps- Johnny Steps is a teen that hangs at Domino Arcade, and plays a DDR-like game for a living. He only lost once, and it was to Tea. He is somewhat of a duelist also, but uses cards based on music (For example, Sonic Maid, Musician King, and Chorus of Sanctuary).

Johnson- A lawyer who never lost a case, Johson was the third member of the Big 5 to duel and faced off against Joey. In his courtroom dueling arena, Johnson assumed the guise of the Judge Man. Using a combination of raising his lifepoints and depleting Joey's monster army, Johnson also secretly turned Joey's deck of chance-type cards in his favor. However, he was exposed by Noah, who would have deleted him were it not for Joey seeking to defeat Johnson on his own. The duel continued with no cheating made by Johnson, and Joey tricked the lawyer into choosing the card he needed for victory. Johnson returned first to try and steal bodies from Joey's friend's, then when the Big 5 joined forces against Joey and Yugi. After their defeat, Johnson assumingly disappeared for good.

Kemo- I have some information on kemo, he is Pegasus's main bodyguard and is on the island all the time looking for duelist that have been eliminated. And he has been seen holding Mokobua in the duel that Kiba and Yugi had. thanks for reading.

Lector- The fifth and final member of the Big 5, Lecter challenged Seto Kaiba in a duel in hopes of winning his body and returning to the real world to run Kaiba Corp. in his place. Taking the form of Jinzo, Lecter sought to claim the position he thought he deserved. Before Gozaburo's overthrow by Seto, Lecter was the elder Kaiba's personal assistant. As such, he beleived he was entitled to take over from Gozaburo since the man had no children at the time. However, after throwing his lot in with Seto, Lecter found himself shunted to a side post instead of the high office he wanted. In his duel with Seto, Lecter used various strategies to deplete Seto's deck and raise his own life poinst. However, he failed to fend against Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragon. After a failed attempt to forcibly take over Joey, Tea, Duke, and Serenity's bodies, he joined together with the other Big 5 to challenge Yugi and Joey to a duel. Lecter took over towards the end of the duel, but failed to defeat the two friends and as such was banished with his fellows to the far corners of the world.

Maco- Mako is known in Japan as Ryouta Kajiki. Yugi and his friends meet Mako after Joey and Tristan begin to eat his fish, without realizing that said fish belonged to someone. Mako is an "ocean duelist", due to the fact that his deck consists of underwater creatures. Shortly after meeting Yugi, he challenges him to a duel, using his underwater creatures to catch Yugi off-guard. During the course of the duel, Mako tells the story of how, as a young boy he was fishing with his father, when a huge storm kicked up. His father, who took the time to secure Mako to the mast to ensure his safety was himself washed away with the storm. After washing ashore, Mako noticed that their life boat was missing. He reveals that he's competing in the tournament in order to buy a boat, so that he may search for his father. In the end, he loses to Yugi, but vows to keep trying.

Mike- Mike is Allister's younger brother and only family member shown. Mike had an action figure of a super hero known as Diamond Dude, which he idolized. Allister got Mike out of a collapsing building when they were young, and then gave him a locket containing a picture of their mother. Unfortunately, Mike was captured when soldiers using Kaiba Corp. tanks raided Allister's childhood hometown. Allister lost his brother, and the only momento he had was the charred remains of Mike's Diamond Dude figure. Joining forces with Dartz, Rafael, and Valon, Allister swore revenge on Gozaburo. However, Seto Kaiba overthrew his father, so Allister decided to duel Seto instead.

Mokuba- Mokuba Kaiba is Seto Kaiba's younger brother. He only sees the good side of Kaiba and loves him very much because they are the only family they have. When they were younger, their parents died and Mokuba and his older brother were sent to an orphanage. Many times, child-seeking adults would want Seto because he is so smart. He turned them down said he would never leave his little brother. Eventually, Mokuba is separated from Seto by being captured by some agents from Pegasus's company. He is trapped in Pegasus's tower on Duelist Island but soon escapes and steals a duelist's star chips and cards. He vows to defeat Yugi in a duel because Yugi beat Kaiba earlier in the series. Mokuba believes that this defeat made Kaiba leave his company, Kaiba Corp., and leave him as well. Throughout the duel, Yugi is killing Mokuba's stolen monsters left and right. Half way through, Mokuba disappears and then reappears in front of Yugi, taking his star chips, giving him 10 and the path to Pegasus. Yugi talks Mokuba out of running away and tells him he should return the deck and the star chips. Mokuba returns the stolen items and goes to find Kaiba. Once again, he gets captured and put in a prison underground. Kaiba tries to rescue him, but at he jail cell, Pegasus shows up and turns Mokuba into an actual card. Kaiba then faces Yugi, beats him, and is going to fight Pegasus for his brother's soul.

Mrs. Ishtar- Marik and Ishizu's mother and stepmother to Odion. Mrs. Ishtar first appeared in a flashback during Odion's duel with Joey in the Battle City Tournament finals. She found Odion as an infant and raised him as her own son. Unlike her husband, she thought Odion worthy of the tombkeeper's initiation. However, tragedy struck, as Mrs. Ishtar died shortly after giving birth to her second child, Marik.

Nezbit- Duel number four in the virtual world saga, Nezbit takes the field with Robotic Knight as his deck master. He challenges Duke Devlin, Tristan, and Serenity to a 3 on 1 duel in the hopes of securing three bodies for the Big 5. He unleashes a powerful array of machine cards, among them Machine King, and manages to defeat Tristan and transfer his brain into a robot monkey in the virtual world. However, Duke pulls out a few of his classic Dungeon Dice Cards in order to summon out Orgoth the Relentless. Nezbit then counters with Perfect Machine King, fusing his Machine King with himself and decimating Orgoth. However, a fusion by Serenity and Tristan's leftover cards defeat Nezbit. When Kaiba arrives at Nezbit's virtual factory, Nezbit returns in Tristan's body looking for revenge against the same person who ruined his dreams of developing Kaiba Corp. miliatary technology. He kidnaps Mokuba, but is stopped by Noah. Nezbit later shares Tristan's body with the rest of the Big 5 in a last ditch attempt to get bodies for all of them. Like the rest of the Big 5, Nezbit was banished to a far corner of the Virtual World following their defeat by Yugi and Joey.

Noah- Noah Kaiba is Seto's and Mokuba's stepbrother. When Seto's stepfather adopted Seto and Mokuba, they were going to be people to help Noah improve his work. Early on Noah had an accident and his body was destroyed. Gosaboru Kaiba tried to help Noah by putting his mind into a computer. He had created a virtual world for Noah to live in. Noah wasn't satisfied by it, and he kept learning and had ideas to improve Kaiba Corp. When Seto and Mokuba was adopted, Gosaboru had visited Noah less and less until he stopped seeing him. As Noah got older, his appearence didn't get any more mature in the virtual world. When Yugi and the gang are going to Kaiba Corp. Island for the rest of the finals, the blimp gets taken in to a fortress that Noah controlled. He had hired the big five to dule them in the virtual world. If a person in the big five defeated an opponent, they would get to take over the opponents body and escape to the real world. They obviously fail and Noah gets very angered at them. Noah's goal was to defeat Seto or Yugi in a dule and go to the real world. If he succeded, he could take over Kaiba Corp. and be the rightful ruler (as he says). Noah challenged Seto to a dule where Seto is turned to stone by Noah. Kaiba still had life points when he was turned to stone, so Yugi to his place. Noah's deck master is Shinoto's Ark which Kaiba destroys. When Shinoto's Ark was defeated, a stronger monster named Shinoto came ot of it. This is all the information that I know about Noah. We may find new info. on him in later times.

Orichalcos Duelist- The first duelist Yugi faces in the Orichalcos season. He first appears and challenges Weevil and Rex to a duel. He then appears after the bikers steal Ra, Slifer, and Obelisk. With a new type of duel disk and the Seal of Orichalcos in play, he does battle with Yugi and destroys many of the latter's most powerful monsters. He plays Obelisk in comination with Orichalcos and decimates Yugi's forces until Yugi is able to defeat the Egyptian God. Yugi then defeats him using a combo of Dark Magician Girl and Diffusion Wave Motion. However, contrary to his word, he tosses Obelisk to the bikers before being consumed by the Orichalcos. In winning Yugi frees the trapped souls of Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor from two other Orichalcos Cards and obtains a mysterious glowing amulet.

Panic- One of the many eliminators in the duelist kingdom, his main goal is to beat the weaker duelist on the island. He likes to use fire to scare his opponents so they would be easier to beat. He was able to beat Mai for all her star chips though he lost to Yugi and lost all of his star chips he won from Mai

Para & Dox- Para/Dox- They are two brothers whom Yugi and company meet up after Bakura uses his millenium item to find a way out. ONe of them tells nothin but the truth and the other says nothin but lies. Yugi and Joey must duel and beat them. Once they beat them theres another task. Both Para and Dox guard one door each but Yugi and Joey have to guess which one is the right door. Joey comes up with a logical plan, to ask them which ones the right door out, both of them point to one door. Yugi finds out that both of them dont have the right door. Para and Dox have an extremely powerful defense and offense but like always Yugi defeats them : )

Rafeal- Rafael (Raphael in Japan) is another Doom Warrior that has a tormenting past, which is unknown at this time. His deck consists of Guardian monsters, such as Baou, Kay'est, Grarl, and the all-powerful Eatosu, which can power-up by removing the top card in your opponent's graveyard until a Spell/Trap is removed, thus, increasing her ATK by the combined ATK of the monsters removed. Using this effect, her ATK raises to 10000, and defeats Yami, trapping Little Yugi in the Seal. This is when Yami uses the Seal, thanks to Exchange, and uses Catapult Turtle to launch the monsters removed by Eatosu. THe second time around, Rafael is defeated, and his darkness is Sealed, much like Kaiba in the first episode. He then leads Yugi and Kaiba to Dartz's lair for the final duel.

Odion- About Rashid: He is considered Malik's (or Merrick in the American version) shadow form. He wanted to become part of the Ishtar clan in his youth, being just a street child. He engraved scriptures into the side of his face, causing himself lots of pain. While he is alive, Yami Malik cannot take over Malik's body. It is for this reason that during the Joey vs. Rashid battle that Yami Malik uses all of his dark influences over Malik, making Rashid use a fake God card constructed by Malik. Rashid does what Malik tells him, but the force of using the God kills him. With Rashid gone, Malik's Yami form is revealed and the nightmare begins...

Princess Adina- A minor character appearing in the legendary heroes three part episode. Adina is a virtual clone of Mokuba but is female. She first appears when Joey, Mai, Mokuba, and Yugi discover her while wandering the virtual labyrinth. They help her and her fairy monster guide Eru escape the maze and defeat the evil Gate Guardian monster. They return to her palace and discover the legend of the heroes and that Adina has volunteered to be sacrificed onboard the Castle of Dark Illusion alongside Seto Kaiba. Unbeknownst to the others, Adina and Mokuba switch outfits and Mokuba is taken by the monster army instead. Adina witnesses Joey, Yugi, and Mai taking off in the ancient flying machine, and reveals her true form as the Mystical Elf at the end of the game to revive everyone.

Rebecca Hawkins- She says that she's a champ, a pro, the best, but she's still only a kid. She was put in a magazine a protegy and her grampa Arther Hawkins showed her how to duel. She thinks that Yugi's grampa stole her blue eyes white dragon and ignores Grampa's explaination of the fact that it's his and calls him a lier and a thief. If you ask me she's not a nice person and should definatly learn about the heart of the cards! (By the way she comes in after Yugi's left the duel island.)

Rex Raptor- Rex is 16 years of age and his birthday is December the 29th. His name in the undubbed Japanese anime is ‘Dinosaur Ryuzaki’ Ryuzaki means ‘Exemplary Lizard’ a lot of people think he’s a real jerk but he is one of the few people in the whole show who doesn’t cheat which would make him an honest jerk? We don’t see him duel too much in Duellist Kingdom or in Battle city but he really fairs well in the DOOM arc. In the DOOM arc him and Weevil bump into each other and are confronted by a new kind of rare hunter, not one which works for Marik but rather one that works for a man called ‘Dartz’ both he and Weevil have to duel against this guy, they lose. Thanks to a card which is known as the ‘Orical Curse’ both teens lose their souls in the duel. Later it is won back thanks to Yuugi. Later on Rex and Weevil join up with DOOM, Weevil goes after Yami No Yuugi while Rex goes over Joey. He plays a super charged up deck given to him by the leader of DOOM. He does very well, we even see a little of his and Weevil’s past and he manages to redeem himself. But he loses his soul once again, Joey vows to help him get it back. In DOOM Rex is made more of a jerk then he really is, he grows a very mean streak and becomes somewhat demonic and messed up in the head. He regains his soul once again but wasn’t too happy about losing it to Joey in the first place. He then tags along with Weevil through YGO Grand Prix and Pharaohs Memory. You have to feel sorry for a guy who was beat up, peed on by a dog and lost his soul twice!

Roland- The official referee for the Battle City Finals. Roland first appears at the stadium shown by placing six locator cards on your duel disk. He later officiated the duels between Yugi and Bakura, Joey and Odeon, Marik and Mai, and Kaiba and Ishizu. During the Virtual World saga, Roland stayed onboard Kaiba Craft 3 and readied it for lift off when the locks were disengaged. Roland refereed for the final four matches of Battle City and left the island onboard the Kaiba Corp. helicopter.

Scott Irvine- Scott is a minor character that appears in a couple of episode. His debut was when Kaiba tested Obelisk the Tormentor against the Duel Computer as the medical guy. He has a greater role in the Gamecube game "The Falsebound Kingdom" as the major villian, however, and is known more widely because of this.

Seeker, the rare hunter- Seeker is a Rare Hunter, a member of an underground organization who steal Duel Monster cards and sell them on the black market for enormous sums, while keeping the best cards for themselves to create powerful decks. Seeker's cards include 3 Graceful Charities, the Stone Statue of the Aztecs, Gear Golem the Moving Fortress, Hannibal Necromancer, Three-Headed Geedo, and 3 complete sets of Exodia the Forbidden One. His first appearance was shortly after Yugi and Joey registered for Battle City Tournament. He challenged Joey to a Duel by the Battle City rules. Joey called out Red Eyes Black Dragon, but it was no match for Exodia, and he lost it to Seeker according to the rules. This Rare Hunter's second appearance was when he dueled Yugi, who vowed he'd retake Joey's Red Eyes and beat Exodia. Seeker's strategy is to play defenses until he summons Exodia. In the duel with Yugi, Seeker is possessed by Merrick, holder of the Millennium Scepter.

Shadi- Shadi is the owner of the Millennium Key and the protector of the Millennium Items. The first character to meet Shadi is Pegasus, who at the time is looking for a way to restore his wife Cecelia. He follows Shadi to an ancient crypt, where he receives the Millennium Eye. Shadi meets Yugi shortly after Yami Bakura's theft of the Millennium Eye. He enters Yugi's mind, thinking he is the thief, and is surprised to find two chambers. One is a child's playroom, full of innocence, and Shadi knows this couldn't hold the thief. But in the other chamber he encounters Pharaoh Yami, the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle, who says he has nothing to hide and that Shadi may roam his mind freely, but he would not allow any harm to come to Yugi. Shadi marvel's at the complexity of Yami's mind, which is full of traps. Finally, Shadi almost falls into a pit but is helped out by Yugi. They come to a room filled with stone tablets that look like Duel Monster cards. All of the sudden, the Dark Magician appears, ready to attack. Shadi starts to call out the Blue Eyes White Dragon to destroy the Magician, but Yugi tells the Mage that they are friends. Shadi is amazed as the Dark Magician stops, when in ancient times the monster would only obey the Pharaoh. He leaves Yugi and tells him to be careful. Shadi has not yet participated in a Duel but may in the future. His abilities include entering minds and releasing monsters from carvings.

Strings- Strings, also called "The Quiet One" by Marik, is a lethargic mime and one of the better Rare Hunter duelists, though the episodes he is pictured dueling in, he is under the mental control of the Millennium Rod. Marik gave him a very powerful deck that is based around the Egyptian God card Slifer the Sky Dragon. Most of his other cards are set around defending this one almighty card and giving it the means to obtain infinite power. Shown as a short, bald, and heavily pierced young man, Strings remains completely still and silent when not under orders from his master. When Marik contacts him via telepathy, Strings shoots to life and hunts down his opponents with ruthless cunning and an impressive display of acrobatics.

Syd- Syd is the red-haired guy with the English accent that hangs out with Bones. His deck is a mystery, as is if he's still in the Shadow Realm or not.

Tsunami Sr.- The father of Mako Tsunami, Tsunami appears only in flashbacks and his face is never shown. He first became known when Mako dueled Yugi and told him that even his father had feared the sea. More was revealed when Mako dueled Joey in Battle City. When Mako was a boy, he and his father were out on a small boat when a storm hit. Mako's father tied his son to the mast, but didn't have time to secure himself. When Mako reached shore, he noticed that his father was gone. However, the life raft had also disappeared, leading Mako to belief his father had survived but was elsewhere. Some years later, he received a Duel Monsters Sea Stealth 2 Legendary Fisherman card from an unknown person. He was led to beleive that the card was sent by his father and kept it in his memory.
