OUTLINE OF THE DOCUMENT

Going to USA for higher education is a long process which requires almost a year of preparation. While most students focus on the GRE exam the reality is far more detailed and a long drawn process. It requires almost a year of planning and preparation to get a seat in an US university. Sometimes not knowing what should be done and when results in taking a drastic decision or missing out some important aspect of the process which results in not getting an admission at the worst case. This book is not about “how to…” do something like how to prepare for the GRE or how to write a ‘statement of purpose’. This book is about “when to…” like when to appear for the GRE or when to apply to the university.

Assuming a year long preparation process this books describes the various activities to be completed at each phase of the preparation process in a chronological manner. Along the way it also gives various important suggestions and notes as to the preparation process. Some of the suggestions you will find very helpful. This book will act as a guide to the students preparation for an overseas degree.
