To Catch Your Eye

If I were a butterfly
Fluttering by
On gossamer wings
Would I catch your eye?

If I were a songbird
Sitting nearby
Singing sweet melody
Would I catch your eye?

If I were a spring breeze
Blowing gently
Rustling the trees
Would I catch your eye?

If I were a rainbow
Spanning the sky
Displaying my colors
Would I catch your eye?

If I were a stormcloud
Dark on the horizon
Casting a shadow
Would I catch your eye?

If I stood before you
Showing all that I am
Would you finally see me
Would I catch your eye?
