Upside Down Kisses
Mood:  sharp
Now Playing: *Talking That Talk* -- [Chamillionaire w/ David Banner]
quotation from Gena:
"I LIVE for things to look forward too..."

For whatever reason, that really got me thinking...hard--which isn't necessarily a good thing at this time of year. I've been doing a lot of "living for the future" in the past couple of months. Whether that future is the following day or three months from now. It's just about time to SLOW DOWN.
Prom. Check.
18th Birthday. Check.
Graduation Party #1. Check.
Commencement. Check.
So many things that are now behind me, but the remainder of this month is looking pretty crazy yet.
I have no doubt that I'll get in the habit of regular entries when Nathan leaves for school in a few weeks. Nothing to look forward to.

I caved into the hype and started flitting about on MySpace. Any time that would have been spent updating or posting an entry was put to putzing around that site. Feel free to check it out.

Will talk soon

Hugs and Kishes,

"Days Go By"

Lifehouse

So don't sit back and watch the days go by
Are you ever gonna live before you die
And when things fall apart
The world has come undone
Leave it all behind
Leave the loneliness alone
You wait forever blind

So come on and leave the years
When you watched the days go by
Come on and leave the fears
That you were afraid to find
Cause while you wait inside
The days go by

So all the memories fade
And the days go by
Forget the lonely yesterdays in mind
I know it's never gonna be the way you like
I know you don't wanna think about the endlessness you find
You wait forever blind

So come on and leave the years
When you watched the days go by
Come on and leave the fears
That you were afraid to find
You're waiting for your time
Waiting for your time
All these days gone wrong
Who broke your fall
What a way to learn

So come on and leave the years
When you watched the days go by
Come on and leave the fears
That you were afraid to find
Time is passing by
Time is passing by

So come on and leave the years
When you watched the days go by
Come on and leave the fears
That you were afraid to find
Cause while you wait inside
The days go by

Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow
Mood:  rushed
Now Playing: Replay of the ten o'clock news
I really wouldn't be opposed to time slowing down right now...if even just a little bit.

It seems as if I'm counting the day's blessings before the day has even begun.

Condemn me based upon my merit or lackthereof
Mood:  cheeky
Now Playing: Condemn me based on my merit or lackthereof
Some people choose not to have regrets. I've always wondered how that was truly a posibility. Perhaps someone would care to share?

For whatever reason, a classmate singled me out last week and asked me to share the one thing that I most regret doing in high school... It was pretty hard to peg it down to a single regret. Truth be told, there are a lot of things that I wish would have turned out differently over the past three and a half years, but within the past couple of days, I've come to realize that regrets don't have to be a negative thing. More than anything, I regret not keeping in touch with a select few people, I regret breaking ties with yet another few, and finally, there are the people that cause regrets because they were known.

I'm in such a pensive state of mind right now. This whole idea of high school culminating in less than a week hasn't quite hit yet. Unfortuanately I don't think it will until all is said and done. Here's to hoping that there are no more regrets to be had.

Absent in my presence.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Trust
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Jay Leno

I recall doing a type of "trust" exercise during my years in Confirmation classes...two people. one person stands behind the other and holds out her arms, and the other partner is told to fall backward, blindly, into the arms of the person behind her. I could never do that exercise...up until now, I always assumed the person behind me wouldn't be there to catch my fall.

I did this yesterday with Nathan, and don't remember flinching.

What should that tell me about my willingness to trust others?
