General Greeting ~ Rowe

Introduction

Greetings! This index page is not yet intended for public viewing... I just wanted to get Iris going... After all, she is the real artistic talent of the team--I'm just the writer.

This page shall host the Erth Series, written by Rowe (Psychic Arrow), and illustrated by Iris. Note to readers: Erth is our original series, not fanfiction, and not available for use in the public domain.

We shall also set up a fanfiction page, for we too had at one time been bitten by the proverbial anime bug. Those fictions will mostly be from the series Yu Yu Hakusho. We only know the Japanese version... Iris and I have only seen approximately two English dubbed episodes between us.

Well, since you are here, I hope you enjoy our "cruel teaser" page... Don't fret--there's more to come soon enough.

Erth ~ Orignal Series

Dangerous Child

I found the dangerous child weeping, trapped and injured within a hunter's pit. Never had I much love for nayads... They could never be trusted, and my mother found good reason to banish them from our wood centuries ago. Had I known then exactly what the child was, I would have left her there to die.

She looked up at me as I drew closer, still crying. I had not considered for a moment that the child heard my approach, for no ordinary human can--at least, not without the aid of magic. She held her gaze steady, her yellow eyes never leaving mine as she wiped her tears away with her sodden hands. Her clothes looked poorly constructed and were covered in much mud and fermented leaves. The girl looked as if she had not bathed in days.

"Are you here to help me?"

I heard then, the innocence in her voice, and decided that she was worth saving. I could use her, I thought, for the innocent such as her, I knew were easy to mold into what was needed for the good of the wood.

"Stand up, child."

The girl rose slowly, without complaint, though it was clear to me that it pained her. Her obedience so moved me--I almost regretted my command as she did her best not to wince. Still, I need to continue to test the girl; to be sure she could be trained.

Her gaze settled on my face again, and for a moment, I let her take in my true, elfin features. It is rare that we elves ever encounter humans, and rarer still that we let one see us for what we really are.

"Do not fear, child."

I reached out to the child with my mind and examined her spirit. She possessed a vibrant aura, one of strength and kindness… Yet, there was also a coolness I sensed, as I probed deeper. It felt like… Like dipping my arm into the Schneider River. The child could be made to endure the trials; I had chosen wisely.

As I focused on her spirit, I began to flex my will, moving her gently away from the depths of the pit, into the air, then placed the child on her feet before me. The expression on her face changed, not to fear, but of guarded wonderment and possibly admiration. I smiled, for this pleased me, and perhaps made my work easier.

"What is your name, child?"

"Tallulah. How should I call you?"

"Emeril."

Human ~ A YYH Fanfiction

Prologue

"Is it true, then, Botan-chan?"

When she turned away, brow-knit and somber-faced, Kurama placed a comforting hand on her bare shoulder, feeling her flesh tremble. Botan began to sob.

"I... I can't..." Kurama watched as she stretched out her right arm into the air before them, slowly opening her palm. "I can't call my oar, and... I don't.. I don't know where he is and..."

"Botan-chan..."

Her body began to shake and she wailed loudly. To soothe her, Kurama took the girl into his strong, steady arms and held her close, hearing her human heart beat loud and fast from within her chest.

"Kurama, they hurt him so bad... Koenma might be dead."
