ZORROASTRONAUTS

In early 19th century Mexico the masked swordsman hero Zorro was a champion of the people against the tyranny of Spanish rule, represented by the ruthless Governor Montero. Unfortunately, on the eve of his greatest triumph, the liberation of Mexico, Montero learns of Zorro's secret identity as Don Diego de la Vega and attacks the rebel in his home leaving his wife dead and his daughter abducted to be claimed as the child of Montero. Zorro, however survives and finds out that chaos has broken loose in the Mexican space station requiring him to temporarily abandon earth and set out for the final frontier. He is dubbed a zorroastronaut, being that his name is Zorro and he has become an astronaut. After bringing order to the space station using his swordfighting skills and his impeccable good looks, Zorro returns to earth and is honored in a parade which the Mexicans used as a cover to smuggle drugs into California. Montero captures Zorro once and for all, and imprisons him. Twenty years pass, and Montero returns to California intent on a foul plan of becoming governor and bring justice to governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for the $5 million Mexican Pesos ($7 american) he wasted on the film Hercules in New York. Upon learning of his return, Zorro escapes from his long imprisonment and prepares for his revenge. Part of it involves the training of an orphan who helped him as a boy to become his successor. He also inlists the help of a homeless man named marty which he found living in an old refridgerator box on the FDR drive. Together, the three of them work together to build a rocketship out of discarded cans of bumblebee tuna but realize that it would be easier to just to steal one from the Russians. As Zorroastronauts they have no problem doing all the complicated stuff needed to launch a rocket, their only problem is when some space food stains the most important part of his zorroastronaut suite, his cape. They successfully dock with the Mexican space station only to find that montero, several of his henchman, and Morpheus from the matrix already beat him there.
They have a duel on the moon involving swords and some weird kung-foo moves. In the end montero decides to announce that really he is gay with morpheus from the matrix and all he wants is to be left alone. Zorro returns to earth and is reunited with his lost daughter while digging for quarters in the ball pit of a Chuck e. Chesse. So once again, the enemies of freedom and justice in California must fear of the man who leaves the mark of the Z.
