There is an idea, which I am fond of, and am not sure if anyone else believes it. According to NASA, the earth is not the center of the universe. They believe the same things that Newton, Galileo, and other great minds of the past said. "The earth revolves about the sun while rotating upon its own axis." They also go on to say that the so called 'gravational pull' (which cannot exist due to the lack of ability to pull) holds everything in place, much like the giant funnel you see where you slide a coin down a ramp and it spins a really long time until it falls into the hole at the center. But thanks to the lack of 'gravity,' we know that this cannot happen.
So despite popular belief, let us say that the earth is at the exact center of the universe and everythin revolves about us. Now this sounds consided, but I do believe that it is possible that God wanted it that way. So, how can we explain the rotation of the stars, planets, seasons, time, etc? Especially if the earth does not move. Well it IS possible that everything else does.
The moon rotated about us, so we do not need to explain that. But everyone is concerned about the sun and how we have days. If the sun flies about the earth at an alarming rate, highly unlikely yet possible, we could have days. Though the sun would have to zip around the earth at a speed equivelent to 24 hours/day. From this point we expand outward. The stars move about the solar system, and the galaxy moves about the earth.
Now if you havn't thought of me as crazy yet, you are about to. This is goint to take a great leap of faith, much like Indiana Jones had to at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Cursade. Even though the sun revolves around us, the other planets in our solor system have to revolve in one of two odd fashions. First of which is that they would have to still revolve around the sun, that is revolving around us. This would support NASA in their infinate wisdom, by creating the illusion of our rotation around the sun as well. If everying were set up just perfect, and the speeds were just right, and the movements were ideal, then to everyone on earth, it would appear that we are rotating around the sun, and there would be no reason to suppose otherwise. Nor is there a way to accurately proove either. The only other idea is that the planets are rotating around us like the sun, and this is fine for the outer planets, but not any celestial bodies between the earth and the sun. (I realise this is difficult to picture, and I will continue to update my wording to better simplify) So, this would just mean that NASA is lying to us, and who would EVER think that NASA, our own government, would lie to us?
