Tom DeLay's Corruption

Definitions and Resources

The best description of the situation is here with the Austin Cronicle. To see it all quickly and graphically see the House of Scandal, very clever.  The indictments are listed as well as the evidence itself on TRMPAC.org.  I especially recommend evidence # 77.

Tom Delay = U.S. House of Representatives of the 22nd Congressional District of Texas, former Republican Majority Leader, for more information see Wikipedia for biographicals.  He is sometimes called "The Hammer".  See who is donating money to others.. News Meat.  It's interesting to compare with Jack Abramoff. Current race looks good. An enemies site.  The arrest warrant lists Criminal Conspiracy and Money Laudering.

TRMPAC = Texans for a Republican Political Action Committee, who has already lost the first battle see CREW, Citizens for responsibility and Ethics in Washington. In the Ethics depute the accounting and treasury practices of the TRMPAC came into were considered to be political contributions instead of any other form of contribution, as stated by a judge.  The judge did not buy the arguement that the monies were for administrative expenses which is permitted under the Texas Election Code. The TRMPAC is Tom DeLay's pet PAC.

TAB = Texas Association of Business, William (Bill) Hammond president.

ARMPAC =  Americans for a Republican Majority Political Action Committee, headed up by James (Jim) Ellis.  The ARMPAC was found not to report $300,000 to the FEC, see Fox News Report for more.

RNSEC = Republican National State Election Committee, an arm of the Republican National Committee.

Dis. = abbreviation for district.  To find out what Texas district is what.. go here for the Texas House of Representatives and go here for the Texas Senate.  Be fully forewarned that these sites are extremely heavy even with high speed.

For the different affects of the actions of the TRMPAC see The Texas Oberver for more details here.  The inplications are that the tort reform, banking legislation, and the disgusting energy company rate hikes were bought and paid for by different corporations.  For the next election schedule see the Texas Secretary of State

I tried to find out what the possible punishments for these various offences assuming they are convicted would be.  Good luck if for any reason you must triverse the Texas Judiciary website.  It's awful.  Please leave any website that you are aware of or knowledge of the potential punishments on myspace.com/deelavi Blog.  It would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your visit.
