Depression

Depression is a disease that affects millions of people throughout the world. Many people confuse depression with feeling blue or down. There is a major difference between the two. Depression is different from just feeling sad or having a bad day once in a while. Depression sort of feels like a black cloud hanging over your head that you can't seem to get rid of. There are different degrees of depression and many different methods to treat it. For many years depression was not recognized as a disease but luckily for people who suffer from this illness, new research into the chemical make-up of depressed people proved that indeed depression is an illness that can be treated with psychotherapy and/or the correct medication. It is important to note that in order to be diagnosed clinically depressed you must have the signs of depression for more than two weeks.

Some symptoms of depression:

*loss of appetite
*fatigue
