Westminster Library
This page contains a collection of links I gathered. They are literary
links, both poetry and prose, mostly fiction. I chose the sites very
carefully and they are all checked on “infomativeness”. The idea to
create this page appeared when I decided to collect different sites
where it is possible to find some books to read, both fiction
(belles-lettres) and critical works in English, French, Italian,
Spanish and other languages. Now and then new links are added.

interest to me and perhaps I'll write a reviews of books that I've
read.

- Perfect Sight Without Glasses by William H. Bates
Bates
method is not exactly an alternative medicine but it's not a mainstream
either and is generally frowned upon by traditional ophthalmologists.
Bates believed that all the eye troubles are caused by mental strain so
the cure is to relax the mind and consequently, the extraocular
muscles. This is a well-written book, an early edition and not a
watered-down version available in libraries. Though I found nothing
wrong with the latter, all the essential information is still there. A
must read for everyone who wants to maintain and restore the natural
eyesight. - The Bates Method of Natural Vision Improvement
A site about the Bates method. Kind of phylosophical...
- Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price
Here is the book by Weston Price about his discoveries. Dr. Weston Price in dentistry is the
star of the same caliber and brightness as Dr. Bates is in
ophthalmology. He discovered that the real cause of tooth decay is...
not the lack of brushing and flossing but a faulty diet. He actually
travelled to some remote parts of the world to find out what people
with healthy teeth ate and compare their diet with that of a
"civilized" world. What he discovered is amazing. In short, he
recommends we stop eating processed foods and switch to wholesome and
unprocessed foods diet (not an easy task, by the way, as unprocessed
foods are not available in grocery stores). He also advocates things
like butter, fats, etc. Read the review of Dr. Price book if you don't want to read the book itself, it gives a good and detailed synopsis. Here is another review.
