well...if you've gotten this far, you've probably figured out that Escaflowne has aired in America on FOXKids!

very um... fortuinately or unfortuinately (depending on how you viewed the series being on FOX), Escaflowne is now off the air.  This is slightly embarassing because... um... it's been replaced by  >ahem< NASCAR RACERS.

Listen...after watching the first episode, i was so disguisted, that i will not watch it anymore, so i won't be giving any feedback or info on differences in the series.  I'm very sorry.  I just never imagined how they could butcher it so much. : (

5-5-00---- The Vision Of Escaflowne - Confirmed To Air On Fox Kids

Bandai Entertainment Confirms Fox Kids Broadcast of "Escaflowne" Fall 2000

Fox Kids Network has licensed and will be broadcasting all 26 episodes of Escaflowne this Fall. Details are still being worked over, more information will be forthcoming.

The Bandai Entertainment Home Video release of Escaflowne English Language VHS and the Bilingual DVD will be delayed. Although this announcement may come as an unwelcomed delay. Fans won't be disappointed and will definately appreciate the extras being included on the DVD and the various promotional items being offered. Replicas of the tarot cards used by Hitomi will be bundled with each volume of both the Dub VHS and DVD and a limited Escaflowne T-shirts will also be available to keep the excitement going for Escaflowne from now until release time. These shirts will only be available at fan conventions Bandai will be attending. Please be sure to check the www.Bandai-ent.com website for a new release schedule for Escaflowne next week.

3-21-00---- Escaflowne Maybe Not Coming To FOX

News of the North American Fox Television network's alleged acquisition and forthcoming broadcast of The Vision Of Escaflowne TV series from Bandai Entertainment is meeting some interference this week in the form of new information from Bandai, it seems as if information that same to light from the Fox press conference last week maybe premature:

- Contact with Bandai indicates there has been NO official announcement stating that Escaflowne will air on Fox Kids as of yet. Their position is one of stating No Comment at this time.

- Allegedly, at the FOX press conference stating the acquisition of Detective Conan for FoxFamily Channel, the person heading those projects spoke of Escaflowne. There may have been a misunderstanding that got out in the form of an incorrect statement of acquisition.


3-15-00---- Escaflowne And Dinozaurs Coming To Fox TV

The North American Fox Television Networks, Fox Kids segment, announced

today that it will be adding the following Sunrise / Bandai Anime TV

series' in it's 2000-2001 Saturday morning line-up:

The Vision Of Escaflowne - Shoji Kawamori's masterpiece, currently released

in the U.S. by Bandai Entertainment. Hitomi, a school girl has visions of

looming disaster in her future, the swordsman, Van, transports her to the

fantasy world of Gaea, where apparent love, fortunes, life and death are at

stake, and soldiers battle in "suits of armor" style "mobile suits".
