I have moved to a new site. Visit me at http://bugworld.net63.net for new photos and updates.

Welcome to my site! I hope you will enjoy your visit here. For those who are new to my site, let me introduce a little about my site. I have been an avid collector since 1964 and since June '99 have set up this site to share some of my pictures and information that I've gathered over the years. This homepage is also my farewell and swan song after a life long obsession with these fascinating insects. It has been thrilling and worthwhile. May I remind you that I do not sell insects and you need not contact me on this. I no more update this site and all new photo and species updates are now on my Flickr site. I do not check my Lycos mail box and you may not able to reach me on this mail box. I am a novice on computer and not able to update this site for a long time.

The picture gallery showcases hundreds of insects with short descriptions. The Insect Ads page is no longer working due to unforeseen circumtances and has been removed. My apology. Perhaps in the near future it will be revive again.I hope you will enjoy your visit here and don't forget to leave a note in my guestbook when you leave. Hope one day too,you will come visit our beautiful country.

DEDICATION
This site is dedicated to the memory of the late MR.TAKUYA OTANI of Osaka,Japan who commited suicide on Oct.2002. We have been fellow collector since our youth from 1970s.Travelling all over West Malaysia and Borneo. He has been a friend and mentor.RIP.

This site is also dedicated to the late J.N.Eliot of U.K.who passed away in 2003.He was an authority on Asian butterflies particularly of Malaysia and Singapore and have written many articles/revised books/named many new species relating to butterflies in this region. I have known him since my teen and he has guided me on many respects in this field. It is a great lost to the insect world.

WHAT'S NEW ?

May 2006

Ulu Piah forest have been destroyed recently by logging and clearing the forest for oil palm plantation. It is such a waste as this place have been my playground for collecting for over 30 years, producing many new species of butterflies. By blaming us collectors who add new discovery to the entomological world for collecting and they did the worse within a few days.

Happy New Year 2001!Have not been updating my page for a few months now,not because of lack of materials to post, but my respected Webmaster have left due to unforseen circumtances. I am learning to update the site myself and it might takes some time before I can master it. If you have an interesting website related to insects,do send me your URL and I might consider adding them to my site.Thank you for visiting.

Another great site to visit if you're planning to take a trip to Asia is Asiatravel.com. You can find information about hotels and interesting stuffs here.

Those who are planning to visit Malaysia have more reason to do so now: it's JACKPOT TIME!! Check out Malaysia's only casino, Genting World, at the Links section and of course, check the insect links out as well. After all, that is the reason for this site's existence :) Take a shortcut here.

It's all about butterflies for this picture update! 20 over pictures of these gorgeous, colorful, amazing, magnificent ( need I go on? ) insects. And for those who are fortunate enough to have a faster connection than us poor souls here, I have a few enlarged pictures that are over 100k.
